Hey guys! Guess what? I went for a huge walk today around this lake by my house. About half way around, I was pretty winded, but I made myself keep going and after about 50 minutes, made it all the way around!I'm also working on being more relaxed and passing up the alcohol when it comes my way. Also, have tried not to let myself get too hungry, because when I do, I go way overboard. Seeing that number finally move in the right direction on the scale is a great feeling. Even if it's just a half a pound, I am thrilled!!!

This is great, all! I think just walking around my neighborhood is an excellent idea, since I just moved. I will explore and get acquainted with the area, while at the same time relieve some of the stress I've been feeling about moving. Thank you for the encouragement - I need all I can get!

Hi and welcome, and Rainy has given you some excellent advise. I was not one who was ever excited about exercise, but, I just started walking around my neighborhood for 50 minutes a day and I started to see results. Take an Ipod along, and pick an album that's about 50 or 60 minutes in length. You're exercise will be over in no time, your mind clear, fresh air and sunshine and you will see the scale move. Just keep the pace up a bit, I try for 13 minutes a miles. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hey Julie, Glad to have you here with the team. Just find some exercising that you love to do or try something you haven't done before and you might find a passion. For instance I just now started the C25K program. I am on my 6th week with running and I am now up to 3 miles everyother day. My body is really starting to get tone and I have found I love running. It is very addictive! We all do different exercise programs on this team, but we keep each other going by joining challenges. My suggestions are make sure and track you nutrients and find out what you are lacking and where you might be over eating and start tweaking your diet. I know you will love this team. Everyone is so postive and loaded with energy. You will be looking Fabulous for that class reunion!

Hi everyone. I've been gone now for months and need some help and support. Moved to another state, which was very stressful. I'm at my heaviest I've ever been and can't seem to get myself moving. Going through a tough time trying to unpack and having no friends here. Any suggestions on where I should begin? Was going to go check out some local gyms today. Have my h.s. reunion in a couple months and want to look nice - if I could lose just ten pounds I would feel happy...
Thanks for any help! emoticon
