I will keep plugging along. I don't know how much weight I will lose in 8 weeks but my weight earlier this week is 254. I had lost 11 pounds over Thanksgiving and only gained 1, yes 1, pound over Christmas. I succeeded in this because I pawned all the goodies off on other people who are much thinner and can enjoy them.

I can enjoy the goodies too, just too much! Isn't 12 cookies a single serving? emoticon

Sorry for the absence! I was sick yesterday with the flu so I pretty much just stayed curled up. My starting weight is 180. And I am good with an 8 week thing :)

We do container gardening because we live so close to Swinney Park and the rabbits rampage through a regular garden.

For whatever reason the past two years our tomato plants grow lush and green but only produce about 2 tomatoes. Go figure! However, we are undaunted in our quest for fresh tomatoes!

Veggies are expensive so I understand that! Maybe when spring comes you can build a small garden, even if it's just in pots that you set outside :)

I am watching what I eat and trying to incorporate exercise. I really don't exercise but I started with some weight lifting last night. I was going to do my Richard Simmons 80s Blast Off DVD this morning but I could not figure out how to get the DVD to work! My college student daughter will take care of that for me today.

One of my biggest challenges is getting fruits and vegetables in my diet. I love fresh veggies but I live on a fixed income and right now money is tight. Canned veggies are an alternative but I crave a nice big salad!

What are you guys going to do to start? Just eat better and work out or something else? I'm going to start taking supplements from https://911.myitworks.com to help me out. I've tried the Greens and love them so I'm going to start taking the Advanced Formula Fat Fighters (to help block some of the fat/carbs that I eat) and the Thermofit (to help give me energy) because I'm tired ALL of the time. This is in addition to a healther lifestyle (healthier diet and exercise). So excited to get started! I'm dreading weighing in tomorrow and posting it here for all to see but I'm ready to shed some of this weight for good! And drink lots of water, I can't forget that!

Awesome, the more the merrier! Maybe by the end of this I can come up with a small gift for the winner but no promises. What should our end date be? I'm thinking at least 8 weeks, should we say March 1st? I don't mind going longer, thoughts?

Let's all post our starting weight tomorrow! Then we'll update once a week. Is there a certain day of the week that you guys would prefer to do our weigh-ins? By weigh-in, I just mean post your current weight.

Great! I've never done one of these contests before so this is your warning, I have no idea what I'm doing.

I was really just thinking that we could have a weekly weigh-in on here, post our starting weight then post our weekly progress with any tip or tricks that are working for us. Possibly meet up sometime for a workout or just to share stories and/or accomplishments.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials! May 17th will be my 5yr wedding anniversary. We are working on planning an anniversary vacation and need to get in better shape so that I can wear a swimsuit.
