Let's get this discussion going again. We all know the 2ww is one of the most stressful times and we need something to focus that energy on that won't drive us crazy.

Ahh the 2ww is stressful, but now I'm feeling like I'm on the 3ww or maybe even onto the 4ww!!! Usually my cycles are between 33-35 days on average, and today is day 39. The last six months, my cycles have been very irregular, so now it's really hard to pinpoint ovulation or even when my AF is due. I took a HPT yesterday and it was a BFN. So I still am going crazy because I have no PMS symptoms, and I *feel* like I'm possibly having early pregnancy symptoms...

Trying not to stress, but I am just hoping that this is my lucky month!!! Fingers crossed!

Hello Everyone. I am new to the group and thought I would introduce myself. My hubby and I have been married 4 years and TTC for the past two. DH has low sperm count/motility and I have abnormal ovulation. This month, I started taking Letrezole/Fermera for CD 3-5 and go to get a blood test to check progesterone levels tomorrow to see if I ovulated. It's so stressful and heart breaking to see all these women around me pregnant but I refuse to give up hope. At least the weight loss thing seems to be working for now so It's proof that I don't suck at everything.

Hi everyone,

I hope this thread is still active. My husband and I have been trying for a second child for 3 months now. I didn't think it will be this hard because our first one just happened without even trying. We didn't use protection one time and I got pregnant. Now that we are actually trying. It's not happening. I'm getting so impatient. My OD is on the 11th so I'm hoping this is the month. The 2ww is a killer. for the past two months I've cried every time my AF came. I'd get myself all hyped up and start feeling all the early pregnancy symptoms just to find out that I'm not. The disappointment is unbearable. I stress myself out so much. I really need to just relax and hope for the best.
Anyway, I just wanted to vent as I'm getting myself for another 2ww.

Just Get up and Do It Already!!

KatyMaria- I hear ya...(in response to my post below - yes my period came), i'm currently in the 2 ww again.... I cry every time my period comes. But since its been a year now of trying we are going to a doctor to hopefully get some answers or if they can't give answers at least i know i'm trying as hard as i can...
It's not easy! Thanks also for my comment on my page. I hear you with everyone being pregnant. I'm in that age where all my friends are pregnant and i also agree that facebook has become awful, which i have been avoiding. Bc every time I log on someone else is annoucing their are pregnant...and i get so angry and jealous. i don't want to feel like that, but i can't help it. I have been trying to keep busy with different hobbies, and trying to realize that I have so many wonderful things in my life that alot of the "pregnant women" might not have. still doesn't make it easy.... just remember i'm here if you want ot vent bc we are feeling the same things!

My period was due today, nothing yet...say a prayer... it's hard bc i almost expect it to be negative now..before i was saying positive positive positive, and it would be negative... but now after trying for almost a year... i kind of expect it to be negative. going to my doctor in feb, then will prob see a specialist but my doc is going to run some tests in feb first.

SHELLY- I'm so sorry. I have an appointment with my doctor next week. I'm not going to a fertility specialist at this point, just seeing my gyno to see what she says first. I hope you find something out. I still have not started my period...I haven't tested again to see if it is positive...fingers crossed...

Well...I dont have a typical cycle length. I have been consistant in having my period 2 weeks after my positive OPK. I tested Thursday and it was negative. Today, as long as my OPK was accurate, I should have AF on her way today...with spotting yesterday...and nothing as of the time of this post. We'll see. I'm scared to test because of disappointment. However, I was wondering if it would be safe to test tomorrow or if I should try to wait a couple more days...any suggestions?

SHELLY- Any news?

Well, I started spotting tonight...that is a a no go for pregnancy this go around. It's so heartbreaking. We were praying and really wanted to be able to tell people at Christmas. However, we also know that God knows better and His timing is perfect. It's the waiting though that is truly hard...

Thank you both for your responses. As it turns out, I am not pregnant, and it was heartbreaking at first, but I am starting to feel stronger emotionally. I feel good to know that I am closer to being able to try again. I know that I will be a mother one day, and when I look back at this time, it will seem so much shorter in retrospect than it feels now. I will probably be able to start trying again at the end of December. Until then, I will focus on being healthy and positive.

POET-My heart breaks for you but rejoices with you in the potential! My husband and I have been trying for several months to get pregnant and because my cycles were always irregular, we were not sure what to expect. My last two cycles were 46 days and although my tests said I ovulated, we did not have any success. This cycle was a bit different. I ovulated much earlier, and I am hoping that it was God's nudge that had me think to test. I had a positive OPK much earlier than I typically do. If this is the case, then my cycle will be about 31 days this month...my TTW has been a dead on two weeks each time. The waiting is so hard and it's very difficult not to read into symptoms. We are hoping and praying that God will bless us this go around. My thoughts are with you and I hope to hear good news from you soon! I should be good to test on Wed or Thurs this week if AF doesn't pop up...

I know the feeling... I started trying to conceive in August, and wasn't prepared for the two week wait..and it was horrible! Nobody ever tells you how slowly that time will go by! And on top of it, I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks. Now, I am having pregnancy symptoms and no period yet, but because of the miscarriage, I don't know when I should expect AF. But I do know it is too early to test... so once again I am waiting, much sooner than I ever expected to be. I desperately want to be pregnant, even though the doctor told us to wait 3 regular cycles. We used protection, so all I can think is God maybe answering my heart's prayer. Or maybe PMS has become horrible since the miscarriage. I know my body, and it is acting as if it is pregnant. All I can do is hope and wait.

Hi BabyBy2012! Well I decided to test with First Response Early Result and got my pink second line!! Now I just need to stop obsessing with testing so much! It just feels so surreal and I feel so blessed that I just keep testing everyday to make sure that I am still getting my BFP. AHHHH!!! I just cannot believe it!! God is good!

Kristy: Sorry it wasn't a BFP. But it does give you more time to get ready. Sending you lots of baby dust for the next cycle.

MyBabee: Sounds like a lot of the sympthoms I had/have. I didn't get the strong sense of smell until about a week ago. The first thing was the sore breasts and then the nausea. I heard a lot of girls from my IVF groups that swear by the cheap HPTs. Alot of them have said that they are more accurate than the expensive kinds. Sending you tons of positive vibes!! :)

SO ladies...here's the deal. This week, I've been feeling what I now know where prego symptoms. Tingling in my breasts(started last week), some minimal breast discharge, random headaches, hot flashes at night, queasy-motion sickness feeling, extreme sensitivity to odors, diarrhea, EXTREME moodiness(just ask the DH) and milky white CM. I really didn't want to read into any one symptom too much for the fear of getting my hopes up. Here's my story...

Yesterday at work...I had a coffee in the early AM and then had some cereal & milk(like I always do)...about an hour or so later, I started feeling very queasy. I thought well the milk isn't bad and I always eat this cereal, so I just brushed off the feeling and tried to continue working. I started feeling like I had just gotten off a roller coaster. My stomach was in knots and I felt like I would throw up any minute. I tried again not to think about it and continued working. I went to lunch with my co-workers and right after lunch, started feeling the same queasy feeling...I even felt car sick on the way back to work. I proceeded to go to my desk and needed to make some copies so I stopped by the copy room. My co-worker(who had gone to lunch with me) was making copies. When I entered the room, a strong smell of mens cologne hit me, just as if someone had sprayed it on in front of me. I asked my co-worker, "Do you smell that? Its a strong men's cologne order...who just walked thru here?" And she responded that another male co-worker had passed by a few seconds before...she also said, "I don't smell anything though...You're pregnant." I brushed off the comment with a smile and went back to my desk feeling the same queasiness. I started chewing some gum and that REALLY helped so I continued working...with a few trips to the bathroom with diarrhea/loose stool.

On my way home from work, the DH and I stopped at Super Walmart to do some grocery shopping. As we were putting the groceries in the car, a lady who was parked across from us walked pass me...she wasn't even within reaching distance-YET her perfume smell just smacked me in the nose. It was horrible...again, I felt like someone had just sprayed it in front of me.

With such a crazy day of symptoms and being at DPO 12, I decided to take my cheap early pregnancy POAS just for kicks. I pee'd in a cup(like I do EVERY month for the past few months for OPKs and HPTs) and I started to see a line forming on the test area. I couldn't believe my eyes so I called in my husband...all the while-I wanted to jump, cry, laugh, smile! The line was very faint pink-but there and it did not go away. Since I have NEVER gotten an evap line or have NEVER received a BFP, I thought well this is it! We are finally pregnant!

This AM, I decided to test with my Clear Blue Easy Digital and figured that test would be much sensitive than the cheapie HPTs I'd been using for months. Boy, was I wrong. The test gave me a "Not Pregnant" after the 3-5 min window, which left me wondering if because my urine stream was not as much, maybe the test did not collect sufficient urine or maybe I didn't hold it for exactly 3 seconds in my urine...blah, blah, blah...all this doubt. So I was a bit disappointed and I couldn't test again right away because I did not have the urge to pee again. ANYWAY-I waited an hour or so, and I decided to test with my cheap HPTs. Before the 3 minutes, I started to see the very faint line again. I did a second one immediately after, and dipped it a bit longer in the cup of urine. The line looked a tad bit darker than the first test...and again a very faint(but def there) pink line.

SOOO...what do you ladies think???? AM I or AM I NOT?
I'm placing my faith in God and I know it is He alone who has blessed us. I know He has done a miracle with this and I am just praying that I can get a solid confirmation on this. I am planning to call my OB/GYN on Monday to schedule a visit for B/W.

According to the pregnancy test calculator...I should be okay to test on Monday or Tuesday of this week!!! Typically my CM is thickening as my period gets closer (which according to the tracking should be Tuesday) and by this point I feel like I typically have more. It has remained "lotion like" this whole week...does anyone have any insight as to how CM changes with conception/pregnancy?

FREEONE-I too had a positive OPK on the 25th. I'm right there with you! Best of luck. This is round 3 for us...so I hope it takes. We've been trying since June...and although I know it is not that long, every month seems to take forever...

MYBABEE2012 - yes, I am new here :) I'm unfortunately miscarrying my first right now. I thought it was happening last Friday, when I went to the hospital with such severe pain I almost fainted. But it seems the last week has only been a prelude to the real thing, which started last night. Right now I'm laid-up at home and in a lot of pain. I'm hoping to try again as soon as I feel healthy and free of pain. I've had a week now to come to terms with this m/c. The truth is, I had a feeling from the start that something was wrong, and wasn't surprised when the doctors told me I'd miscarry at some point. During the time I was pregnant I just didn't have many symptoms, yet I was in a lot of pain from cramping.
It's true that some women never get pregnancy symptoms, but I also didn't get a BFP until almost a week after my missed AF. In other words, I think it was a weak pregnancy from the start :(
I was really happy to join some TTC groups, but I have to admit for a while it felt good to finally be in that catagory of "expecting" and not just "trying" :(

Hmmm...sharp pain is always worrysome...especially since it could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy. If you get severe cramping or more sharp pains, make sure you seek medical attention right away. I've heard those can be very dangerous, so make sure you keep tracking all of your symptoms...just in case. Keep us posted!! We are still hoping that you get that BFP!

So I had a sharp pain on the left side this morning...and then spotting later in the day. I guess now I'm waiting to see if this is AF making her way back into my life or implantation...come Saturday I guess we'll have a better idea...

So...I tested a few days early because I just couldn't stand it...and got a BFN...Saturday is supposed to be my actual test date...so I'll take another one then. I really hope for a BFP but don't know how high I should let that hope get...

I hope everyone has a good day!

WOW...that DOES all point to pregnancy...especially the tender breasts. That's one of the first signs most women experience. When is AF actually do? I would test with your FMU asap...

Okay...list of last week to present symptoms...
-very tender breasts (I normally do not experience this with my regular period)
-pressure/cramping (more pressure and the occassional twinge of pain lol)
-frequent headaches
-tiring out quickly
-lightheadedness
-indigestion (I never deal with indigestion, let alone burping, and since last night it has been relentless)

I've looked all this up and it looks like I could be possibly pregnant...My 2WW will be ending at the end of this week...I'm really crossing my fingers...because if I'm not, I have idea why I'm feeling all of these things.

That's what I've used too...and the cheap-o tests on Early-Pregnancy-Tests.com. They have mixed reviews but a lot of ladies have recommended then. I use their OPKs and HPTs.

I am finding that pregnancy symptoms are difficult to detect since they are essentially the same as PMS...only time will tell. What HPTs will you use??

Well my positive OPKs were on the 12th and 13th. On Monday or Tuesday I noticed "the girls" were really sore and they have been tender since. I've read this should not happen until the 2nd or 3rd week...so this could be a little early. Yesterday and earlier today I noticed a kind of short pain on the lower left side of my abdomen. Since this afternoon I have had a dull achy pain all the way across...it's almost like cramps I've experienced in the past, but not nearly as painful...not sure what this means. I've read up and it could be implentation...but who knows...and with an irregular cycle, there is no telling if AF will come along to say otherwise...I guess I'll just wait until next weekend to test. As you said, I am trusting in God and His timing.

Well I think I'm out for this month...my spotting turned into light red/pink bleeding last night and today its been getting heavier like my normal periods. :((

Hmmm...the cramping can signal implantation, but I had that too...I think since we've been TTC, I am paying more attention to my body's signals and I question every little thing. I guess I psyched myself up way too much...thinking that I really was prego because I had the spotting so early on, but then it turned out to be a 3-day early AF. Better luck next month for us!

Ive always had problems...in fact, the reason I went on BC was because of the issues I had. I've had some dull cramping in my lower ab area...could this be the implanting cramping you were talking about or am I just obessing lol...?

I am super excited for you! I really learned a lot from the article you read. Unfortunately, my cycle has not regulated so there is no promise that I'd start anyway...I'm going off the two week rule and we'll see from there...

Hey Kristy...my hubby and I had two successfull BD's during my fertile time so I am also hoping it was enough...I will attempt to test soon because I am getting impatient. I did some researching to see how soon I can actually get an accurate reading and I was shocked to learn that most HPTs that promise results 4 days before missed period are not as accurate as they proclaim. Check out my post from earlier today titled, The Truth About HPT...how early can you know?...its under this same General Team Discussion Forum. You will probably be as shocked as I was when I read it online...

So...everything has dried up and I either ovulated Friday or Saturday. I got a (-) OPK on Sunday. We only got one good BD in during that time...hopefully that was enough...now the wait begins...grrr! I want to be so hopeful but I'm scared to be since this is our first go at this full force.

Does anyone know the soonest I could test and get a pretty accurate answer? I know some pregnancy tests say they can tell 5 days before your next period...any suggestions?

The 2ww right after the predicted ovulation....so if you think you ovulated Saturday, Sunday would count as day one post ovulation or (DPO 1) and so on and so fourth until you reach your next expected period date...which is usually 2 weeks after ovulation(but not the same for everyone...depends on your cycle). Hope that helps! Keep up the BD! :D

MYBABEE- So...it sounds like you have a fantastic bright spot in your future! I got a positive OPK yesterday and today! I am really hoping our BDing is working it's magic lol. I'm not sure when to start the 2WW since I'm ovulating at this point. Do you know? Should it be the first day things dry up or I get a negative OPK? Oh all of this is so exciting!!!

Hey Kristie! We are also on our 2WW and it looks very promising. I think I just experienced implantation bleeding. After I peed, I wiped and saw a very pinkish discharge...but I am not expecting AF until a week from today. I've NEVER EVER had bloody like discharge like this unless AF is on its way...and its too soon for that. So I am hoping it was this so-called implantation bleeding that I've read about. :)) Praying for a lil' miracle!! I'm excited!

Hey Goddess!! Sometimes I have spotting right before my period arrives...but it is VERY VERY light, the color is brownish or very light pink and it comes and goes. Once I see bright red when I wipe, I count that as Day One of my period. Hope that answers your question. Best wishes!

I'm in the 2WW but not feeling very confident about this one..I was traveling away from my husband and we were together 5 days before O..there's a chance but I feel like just a small one. I charted this month and did an OPK and temping and found that I probably O'd on day 16 or 17. I have a hard time figuring out Day 1 of my period because I tend to have a little bit of a slow start..I found that I should count Day 1 as the first full flow day. If I have a dark thick discharge for a couple of days, should those be counted or not?? Sorry to be so descriptive but I'm confused!!

This could very well be our first 2WW. I've been tracking CM and last week's charting seemed promising...we'll see!!! I had a very irregular cycle prior to BC and now that I'm off (since june), I don't know how or when I'll regulate. I've yet to get a positive OPK but I know you can't always go by that. Ahhh! I more or less just try to focus on all the things we want to get done around the house while we wait :)

UGH!!! The DREADED 2WW-I hate it!! I am naturally an extremely impatient person, so those 2wks feel like an eternity to me...if I urinate a bit too much, I'm already thinking, "It must be because I'm pregnant!"...If I have a craving for a food or feel too tired...I associate all of it with, "I must be pregnant!" lololol Its really sad...but I'm glad I'm not alone since this happens to most of us. Does it NOT happen to anyone?!

Sounds good! I find that my fertile week and the week after are my strongest weeks for increasing my strength and cardio workouts, so I'm going to keep pushing my limits during that time. Having that goal will make it easier - now I just need a way to deal with the pms symptoms that feel like being pregnant! By that time I'm usually feeling sleepy all the time and there isn't as much to distract me.

Ahhh! This is my first two week wait and it's horrible! Well, it's exciting too but the unknown is killing me! I hope you both conceive soon so you don't have to do these blasted two week waits anymore :)

I know how you feel. We have been trying for over 2 years and it seems so easy for others. We do have some infertility challenges on my end and we are seeing a specialist. But it is very frustrating.

I know some of the funny things i have tried is putting a pillow under my butt after figuring if I give it an angle they may just fall into place or even cross you less after figuring they can't escape. Crazy , but you never know. Funny when you think about it, but you never know when the time will happen.

The time to make a change is now, to start making our dreams a reality

Hi Ladies!

The dreaded 2ww is getting harder and harder for me (am in month 7 of ttc) as 4 of my friends have just announced PG emoticon (thrilled for them - but bit envious as it only took 1 month for one and 2-3 months for the others!) plus have 3 friends due to give birth in July!! emoticon

So, instead of getting down about it - I thought we could try to distract each other - or talk about the crazy/bizarre or ingenious things we have tried whist ttc! - I have just started on pre-seed and read today that there is a cup thing that some women are using after sex to keep the little sperm's in place!! emoticon

general chat and support for each other through the 2ww. - any takers?!
