I've used TRX for a long time. I love it. I got mine back when there wasn't a cheaper alternative. Now Golds puts out a cheaper alternative. It's available at Walmart and is under $50. One of the places I teach have both kinds (the real TRX and the cheaper alternative). There are a few things better on the TRX, but in general the Gold's version is just as good.

I finally put the unfinished attic to use in the place I'm living, the winters are brutal here so when its crazy outside I now have the TRX hanging from the rafter and a lenght of rope for practicing rope climbs. There is room for all the movements, not sure why I hadn't set it up before.

Bodyblade looks cool and reminds me of they gyroscopic "dynaflex" (great device)I use in that it uses a spinning device for resistance.

The TRX does not look that different from what John Hind has been selling as his Jungle Gym. John has several cool toys as well and you can find more on John at MonkeyBarGym.com or his equipment at LifelineUSA.com

I have used his jump ropes for...well...I think the mid 80's. I have the power wheel and it is scheduled for today. I also use the Portable gym and TNT power cables.

You are not what you eat, though you may look and perform like it.

It's a couple hundred bucks, but in comparison to gym memberships and personal training packages, I guess it's reasonable. It's very sturdy. It makes Mat Pilates and Yoga challenging in a different way. Adds a lot of variety. P/T's and Chiropractors are starting to use it. My next purchase is the Body Blade. I love weird workouts. The Blade is very good for the intrisic muscles! I've not been on Spark for awhile, but I'm glad to be back! Num emoticon

I've definitely not seen anything like it! It looks like a lot of fun and I can see what you mean about the core engagement/stabilization required to do these exercises. Pretty high price for such a simple piece of equipment--but I suppose it's still cheaper than all the weights/equipment you'd need to do that number of exercises, right?

It is a double strap with adjustments. So, it is easily portable. Just type in TRX and you will come up with it. It is also known as "Fitness Anywhere" and "Suspension Training." It's great! Uses a lot a core stability. I'm going to use it now!!! Num

Nope, I haven't heard of it. What exactly is it? Seems kinda funny from your description that it's designed to be used when no equipment is available, but it seems it is a piece of equipment itself. Do they have a website?

I recently received the TRX system from a friend as a gift. I didn't get the book that goes with it. It was invented by a Navy Seals person for use when no equiptment is available in the feild. You can hang it on a tree and get a fantastic workout. Mine is hanging from the beams in my garage. I'd like to share exercises with anyone that has use of one. They are becoming quite popular for core stability. I love to do hamsrings on it. emoticon
