It is difficult, in a sense, in the beginning. It takes time and a lot of research but if you really want to do it.............you will. The more familiar I become with recipes and aware of ingredients, etc. the easier it is.

I agree that it is easy as well as a culinary adventure.

It takes some time to make the changes and learn new cooking techniques and experimentation. The easy part is removing the processed foods, salt and sugar.

It is not even worth sampling the sugar and other foods when one feels so ill afterwards. It's a great deterrent.

The health benefits are so phenomenal that this way of eating is really the only choice for me.

I just done care what other think.... they can think I'm crazy for eating fruits and veggies cause that is what a vegan is....eating fruits and veggies

I would not have an argument with anyone, they are going to think what they want to think no matter what, so why waste my words.

Like anything else in life its as hard or easy as you make it.

i CAN TELL YOU WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT ABOUT IT, addiction, I don't have much trouble giving up meat dairy etc. in the big things it is dressing that have a little. I am addicted to them. it seems very easy to those who have done it but not every body has the determination or the support system. and even then some people can't. Just like alcohol or drugs

I'm not sure what's so "hard" about following a vegan diet. If you cut out heavily processed foods, you're most of the way there.

It seems like so many people are too lazy to take accountability for what they put in their body. Every time I hear: "I could never give up cheeeeeeese", I just put my head in my hands. Yes you could. It is physically possible for you to never eat cheese again and live a fulfilling life.

I simply say that I already ate a very clean, heavy on the vegetables, non processed, diet so it was no big deal. Besides, I lost 20 pounds easily and quickly. emoticon

Sometimes when it comes up in conversation that I'm vegan, people claim that while they admire vegans that they could never be vegan. They say it's too hard.

I make the point that it can be hard in the beginning, this being because it's a time when you need to get to know the ins and outs, etc. However, after you know what's "safe", it's quite easy (to me anyway).

What do you say, or what would you say, if you were confronted with this type of argument? I basically (nicely) say that it's not bad or difficult once it becomes a lifestyle, and that it's a lifestyle, not just a diet.
