Yesterday evening I walked a mile to a meeting, then after the meeting went a longer way home with some more walking and 25 minutes of running. Ate healthy all day.

I spent about 2 hours on exercise of one sort or another so today I'm having a bit of a rest. I'll do 30 min on the treadmill, a wee bit of yardwork, and some of the exercises from my fitness plan. This has been a fast week for me: nearly 10 pounds in 6 days. I'm elated but I know I'll burn out if I don't slow down.

I passed on the very tempting half-and-half and stuck with nonfat milk for my coffee. That doesn't sound like much, but the reason the half sounded so extra good was because I was thinking I "deserved" it. Feeling blue and, had I given into that thought, I would have gotten back in the rut of emotional eating.

Yesterday: had lunch at a buffet and had a ton of salad, lots of veggies, chicken breast and a very tiny dessert!! At first I felt like I was paying the price, but the everything I had was so good that it wasn't very painful at all. Jeannie

Stuck with soup and salad and just a little piece of bread at the retirement luncheon I attended today instead of going for pasta or anything with a cream sauce, then hit the gym for an hour of cardio after work.

I paid the price today by getting a ton of healthy groceries at Trader Joe's and by leaving the dark chocolate covered pretzels on the shelf... (they're probably not that unhealthy if you eat one serving at a time, but I've never managed to do that)

(Yesterday) I rode my bike to and from work, and then stopped at the gym on the way home for a little strength training (triceps) and 15 minutes on the stepmill at a rate two levels higher than I normally do when I do a longer workout.

Instead of stopping for the carnitas burrito I was craving on the way home, I went home and had a big salad and some healthy homemade chili. Glad I didn't cave and go for the burrito!

Today I paid the price two ways: first, I took a deep breath and got on the scale. (ouch) And, second, I actually planned ahead and ate less for breakfast knowing I would be going out for lunch with a friend.
