I love to read. I don't have any kids to pass that on to, but I often give the children I have any involvement with books for Christmas. Can't afford much, but Dollar Tree often has books that are good and will get some that are on sale for a good price.

Like Dave, I have too many to read all of them and I am always getting some from the library.

Both my parents were readers, My sisters husbands say the only reason we have family reunions is to exchange books. My children are readers and so are my grandchildren.

It's official. I would now have to outlive Methuselah to read all the books I own. Between ten large bookcases, boxes full, and a couple of Kindles and a Nook, there's no chance I'll ever run out. I spread the bug whenever I can.

My mother had lots of books around for us to read and I followed by her example. I love to read. My daughter and our granddaughter who we raised are also are book worms. Now the granddaughter has passed that love to her 3 year old and 1 1/2 year old. They will bring books to us to read to them.

I have always been a reader. I caught the reading bug from my parents and hope that my son enjoys reading as much as I do. He has frequently given me book titles he enjoyed so I think he must be a reader.

Are you a bookworm?
YES

do you encourage other family members & friends to read?
yes.

Do you encourage children you know to read?
I only had one child who didn't enjoy reading until the summer before he entered high school, he found biographies and he was hooked from there. This Saturday when the famly was over he was eye balling one of the books I had on the coffee table. =)
My youngest child is probably my best reader. He's also more discerning.

I love to read & I always encouraged it when I had children at home. It worked & produced other adult readers.

World Book Day is a registered charity on a mission to give every child and young person a book of their own. Itís also a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) itís a celebration of reading. In fact, itís the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

Are you a bookworm? If so, do you encourage other family members & friends to read? Do you encourage children you know to read?
