I have posted pics of just a few of the many wreaths I have done in my gallery on my Spark page if anyone is interested in looking. emoticon

We found out today that hubby has a bad case of TMJ. Getting muscle relaxers tomorrow. Got a moldable mouthpiece and got it home and is wrong kind. So another trip to return tomorrow and see about getting the right one. I was so hoping to just stay home tomorrow!! I was gone all afternoon today until about 6pm so didn't accomplish much today since I slept later than usual. emoticon

Hi Teamies. Just caught up on your posts since I was last here. Busy ladies!

Tuesday we had our first spring-semester women's study. It was introductions mostly. After we closed in prayer we just started gabbing. One of our leaders announced she'd teach knitting to anyone interested. 13 women raised their hands including me!

She is going to try to organize a meeting in February. We may have to meet after lunch in the café. Too many for someone's parlor. She won't teach left-handers (me). I'm sure someone there can. I just don't know how to cast on proper but do know how to knit (not purl yet).

She said for those who wanted to come and work on crochet could do that, too. I'm thinking charity. I came across a big button cowl pattern this morning and would love to make some.

The card class was so much fun. My first project would have been ok except I used school glue. It was too messy. Wish the instructor realized what I had at the beginning of class and not after. Lesson learned!

Happy crafting to all my new friends here. I really enjoy this team. emoticon

Susan, people here use wreaths for all kinds of events, themes, and seasons, both inside and out. If you're on Face book, look me up. I am Francie Grisham Workman. I have lots of photos of my wreaths I have done.

We have a new Craft and Antique/Vintage Mall opening up. The gal owning it wants me to rent a booth and put wreaths in it. I will see a bit later. I want to make sure the public traffic through there is going to be good. I also need to wait until I get better with this pulled muscle, my hubby gets better, and my Mom. Lots of things have to come first.

Thanks for the good wishes about our summer, Amanda. I just hope the temps do not get oo hot for too long! Heat waves are my least favourite weather pattern. Lol!

We only seem to use wreathes at Christmas, Francie. Yours sound nice though. I am thinking of ideas fro things I could sell at a craft market. Today I experimented with felt rose pins. I like them. It remains to be seen if others will too.

Had a social day today. It's always good to catch up with friends. And I Skyped with daughter and baby granddaughter. That was lovely too :)

I got a cortisone shot in my right knee yesterday afternoon so my knee is much happier today. I actually think it may have helped the pulled muscle a bit too. Don't see how but the muscle sure felt some better today. I was able to run several errands today and go to Bible study tonight and not hurting like I usually do. muscle a tad tight but that will ease when I use my warm therapy gel before I go to bed.

I made a deco mesh wreath for a dear friend of mine to use at her daughter-in law's memorial service. So sad. She was only 60 and had bad cancer. The wreath was blue and white with white doves all around it. She loved it and her son loved it.

We bought a magnetic therapy topper for our bed. It was developed for people with back and arthritis problems. We love it. Hubby woke up with no hurting in his back and legs. I'm ordering the magnetic therapy pillows. They are about $80. We did have a memory foam topper but this topper works much better and not nearly as thick.

I'm going to work on 2 valentine wreaths tomorrow. I hope to sell them. They won't be very big as I only have small frames on hand right now but they will be pretty- not bragging. emoticon I'm doing one in red and white and one in pink/white.

Hubby goes to see an ear nose throat doc tomorrow afternoon so I will go with him to fill out the paperwork.

Y'all have a great night and a Tremendous Thursday!!

YIPPEE!! I go get shot in knee tomorrow!! I hope it works as it always has. Hubby goes to see an ENT doc on Thursday. Hopefully, some help with his sinus and headache issues.
Pulled muscles are a tad better today. Just be glad when all well.

I'm going to make a button tree for my daughter-in law. It will be a painted tree with fall colored buttons as leaves. I saw it as one of her pins on Pintrest. She loves fall. When I get it finished, I'll post a pic in my gallery. I also have a painting project to do for daughter. is one she found on Hobby Lobby web site but there will be a couple revisions that she wants in hers. I have to order paint. I already have the buttons.

Wow, Francie, you are sure going through some physical trials, you and your mom both.

Brrr! Reading about your cold winter in the US makes me shiver, Which is good, since here in Australia we are having heat waves and monsoonal storms. Temps have been anywhere from 72' to 113'. Tonight i am having a cup of coffee with you, Dustyprairie.

Tweetiebear, I do that every year for our troops. It's called Cards for Troops over here :) I love getting little notes back from the soldiers about how much they appreciate the cards..

Marilyn, I enjoyed your photos too.

Happy New Year to everyone. Sorry I have been MIA. It is our summer vacation here and i have been inundated with friends, family and activities!

Sunny and near 50 here in NE Arkansas!! emoticon My pulled muscles are slowly progressing toward being better. I go to orthopedic doctor on the 14th to get a shot in knee and will see what he says might help speed up progress in pulled inner thigh and arm muscles. I want to get some projects done.

It's been a wet dreary day here in NE Arkansas, just right for staying inside but sure am looking forward to being able to get out to worship on Sunday. We go from winter advisory to Flash Flood warnings in 2 days time. emoticon

I've got 2 acrylic paintings to do when I get my arm muscle back in shape. I hope that happens soon.

Ever since this pulled muscle incident 4 weeks ago this next Tuesday, I have been researching lots of medical things about it. I have some medical books left from my stint in nursing field, oh so long ago. I also use reliable internet resources. One of the things I found out is Magnesium and how most people are deficient. The more I read about it, the more interested I got. I gave a medical friend of mine a call. He said it wouldn't hurt me to try it. I ordered Doctor's Best High Absorption 100% Chelated Magnesium and take 400mg daily after a meal. I got up this morning with lots less pain in the muscle and arm and more mobility than I have had. So, I think with the Sombra warm therapy gel, the magnesium and prayers for God's healing, it is working. I'm providing a link to one article in particular.

I'd certainly appreciate prayers for my 85+ yr old Mom. She is having lots of health issues and is an invalid now. I am so thankful that my sister & her family who live next door to her, have moved in with her to take care of her. They live in Batesville. Mom's blood platelet count has very drastically depleted over the last month. They are running a CT and a bone marrow test on her next Monday. I just hurt for her to having to go through those tests.

DUSTYPRAIRIE, enjoy your crafts, especially if you do some card making. I'd love to take a class in that kind of project. I do make cards, simple ones. I take all the materials to the nursing home, where I have a crafting class. Now these ladies don't want to do ANY crafts at all, unless it is for some community service. One of the things is making cards in large batches and sending them to "OPERATION WRITE HOME" -- the cards themselves are not for the military....but rather for the military to send back home! Birthday, get well, holidays, etc. (Think about it...how can a guy stationed in the middle of the desert in a foreign land go to a store to get a birthday card!). Anyway, if you love doing the card crafts, Operation Write Home is online with all the information you need, including ideas, patterns, etc. And even if you don't do that, enjoy your craft classes!

I'm in Colorado. It's been cold, but not too bad. The sun shines most every day.

Thank God for the little infared space heaters and the woodstove. These are the safe heaters. I love them and trust them.

Yesterday I signed up for the winter/spring craft group. I'll be learning to make cards. Just maybe this year I'll get greeting cards on time. It will be good getting out, meeting new folks and learning something new. The other good thing is the only thing I'll need to buy is card stock. I have everything else. It's a matter of getting it together in something I can take with me.

Have a great day! Sending you emoticon & emoticon

You guys should come out here - not bad weather - we've been in the 60's - gets to the 30's at night. (I'm in Nevada). Thought when I heard it was going to be a cold winter that it might snow here (does about every 10 years - not like what you get but it's pretty). but no snow. (sigh). Busy with packing - moving March 1 to a 3-bedroom apartment - room-mate style. Daughter and grandson will be living with us permanently. It'll help both of us financially.

I trudged out in all that white stuff yesterday. I know... I know! I should have been working on organizing my craft room (I intend to get to that yet tonight). If they call school again tomorrow, that's what I'll dedicate my day to.

It was good to get outside and whew! What a workout that was!!! I've been working on posting some of the pics from my adventure yesterday. I have a driveway (lane) that's about a mile long. Needless to say it was like wading through a frozen tundra. I'll include a link in case any of you are interested in checking them out. I'll be adding many more, but here's a sneak peek:

I'm in MI too. With the wind chill we're at about -28 right now. I think we got about 16 inches of snow, plus the drifting and blowing from the wind. All schools (and even universities!) were closed today and most are closed again tomorrow because of the cold and icy roads.
If I weren't so busy plowing this would be great crafting weather.

Hi everyone! Schools are all closed where I am (Michigan) and many businesses are also closed today as well. We've got about a foot of snow on the ground with frigid temps on the way and a really stiff, arctic wind a-blowing. I'm thinking there probably won't be school again tomorrow and that would mean another day of extended vacation for me! Yeah! :)

I just joined your group today and please forgive me if I can't find my way back. Hopefully, SP will make it easy for me. How are all of you?

It's cold here too.... -14C, "feels like" -22C. Good weekend to stay inside and do some crafting!

I started a SparkTeam for The Happiness Project and we could use a few more members...it's a book that goes through each month of the year with ideas for simplifying and being more appreciative. The book is quite popular so it should be easy to find in bookstores or at the library.

I had a few today that took up 1/3 of my spark pages. Sometimes there's an ad by the bar that doesn't allow me to get into the community part of SP.

Been having some pains in my hands. Too much crocheting?

I bought some cookie tins at the $ store for 50c each. I plan to decoupage them for Valentine's Day.

Pleasant dreams! emoticon

Hope everyone is having great fun with the crafts! I have a wall hanger that is beautiful and shaped like a house given to me by a dear friend, going to dress up some pic's and place in the clear pockets. Will post a pic of it when I get it completed on my Spark Page.

Our temp is going up into the 60's next couple of days with rain on the way. I don't mind give me rain instead of ice any time. My husband is keeping the wood stove hopping and I love the even warm heat it creates.

Hope eveyone has a great day. Boni emoticon

emoticon We got up into the 60s yesterday! I hung blankets and heavy laundry outside. I also tossed boo-koo tumbleweeds over the fence. I still have at least as many still against the house as what I tossed. Awful fire hazard. The windstorms brought them in.

I cut out pics from hubby's hunting magazines yesterday. I plan to decoupage them onto the wood I use for his cribbage board. I may have to get another router piece for my dremmel. He didn't bring all my accessories in from storage and I wouldn't know where to start looking for where he put it in the storage trailer.

Happy crafting! Happy sparking!

Goodmorning everyone! We are down to a real low of 11 degrees this morning here in Kentucky and I am leaving work in just a few minutes and headed out for early morning shopping. Hope all of you have a wonderful day. I know all of you are making beautiful and crafty things today and I will try to make some headway but if I shop I will drop when I get home and go to bed. Have to work again tonight.

JoyfulTyper,

Couzcat,
Hope you had a nice dinner!
