I'm late to show up for this party, but I'm IN!! Around Mid-July, I started trying to really FOCUS on staying within my eating limits and walking 6 out of 7 days for 30 minutes or more. I've lost 5 pounds since mid-July and would really like to have lost 60 pounds by next July!

I'm in! I've been doing terrible on my diet/fitness for the past month so this will help get me back on track. I'm not sure how but I didn't manage to gain any weight so I'm definitely thankful for that. But still need to make positive gains and not fall back into bad habits!

I didn't get started until later in July but had a 2 pound loss. Working harder in August. I'm hoping to lose at least 6 pounds each month to keep my goal of 75 pounds gone July next year.

Nighttime eating and generally lower last meal calories is my focus. Plus getting back to exercising. Using my peddler. I've been saying I'll get to the peddler for months. It's just sitting there. Not sure why I don't just go use it.

First month and after a big gain when went to family wedding (my nephew) the week of the 4th, I have net loss of 5.6 # for the month of July 4th until today. I originally said I wanted to lose 30 # in the year but going to try for 50 pounds by 7-4-20. Wishing myself and all of you success!

I'm in. I am coming in late but as they say better late than never. I am coming back today after a long hiatus from sparking. I guess you can say I toke the winter, spring, and summer off. Did some major damage.(gained 30 lbs.) It's funny how easy the weight goes on but how hard it is to take it off! emoticon I am so glad I found this team! Trying to update my spark page. Going back to work Monday so it might take a little while. Linda

I, too, am coming in late. I just turned 58 on the 4th and need to lose 60 pounds to get my BMI within a normal range. I have never been able to lose the extra baby weight from my last child. That child is now 33 years old!

Coming late to the party but I've been working on my own and want to participate here. I will be celebrating 50 years of marriage in 2020.. April 18 to be exact. 70 pounds by April would be wonderful. My mobility has suffered the last year with hip/knees/back osteoarthritis and so has my metabolism. I could use support and a buddy.

I’m doing good! I have lost weight. I’m adding in extra protein, vegetables and fruit and water.

I had crockpot overnight oatmeal with dried figs for breakfast. So sweet and good and kept me full as lots of fiber.

I'm in. Since turning 55 my body decided it was time to add weight back on. I need to lose a minimum of 20 pounds for health reasons, mostly to take stress off my joints. I would like to lose at least 30 - 40 pounds by the time I'm done.

I need to focus on eating more vegetables and fruits and less fried foods. I also need to find a way to be consistent with exercise. Lots of excuses, not much movement.

Currently, numerically, my goal is to reach 200 pounds by March 2020 (this date has continuously been pushed out for probably five years now), which is a 57 pound loss.

My actual goals are to reach a state where
I don't feel fat,
I don't wear clothes with an "x" in the size,
I can bench press 200lb twelve times,
I can squat myself and my bodyweight (on the bar) 6 times down to at least parallel,
I can deadlift twice my weight in good form ten times,
I feel comfortable to be without a shirt on (both in intimate settings and in public), and
I have a mindset that I'm attractive and I have a positive worth.

"I will not feel deprived when I bypass junk food. I will feel empowered because I made the right choice."

Remember, we do this to wake up excited, and fall asleep satisfied.

Sleep Long, Get Strong, and Keep On Keepin' On!

The reason I do all this is because I want to make the world a brighter and more enjoyable place. I deserve that and the world deserves that.

I would like to aim for this as well. I have allowed my weight to creep back up and need to get back to making better, healthier choices with what I eat, how I use my time, and how I deal with stress. I want to aim for 40 pounds over the year, which would bring me down below 200 for the first time in around 25 years.

I really need to join this challenge. Feeling so frustrated after gaining back 45 lbs after 2 knee replacements and a few medical challenges that kept me from being as active as I was prior to those events. Thank you for starting this!

Im in. I stopped eating healthy and making good decisions and gained back 28 lbs. The one thing I did right was that I never stopped reading your blogs. This challenge came at the right time, Thank You!
