I was thinking of a sloppy joe type recipe and ended up using this one from skinnytaste, "one pot cheesy turkey taco chili mac." We liked it because it also has pasta cooked in it to help absorb some of the liquid. Not a tue chili but combination of amsloppy joe/chili/taco meal.

Never quit dreaming.

The next few days are screaming out for me to make a soup or stew. I still have the ham bone from Christmas ham.

Sounds good. I know I have all the makings for chili and the grandkids will eat it. I also saw a recipe that looked good on the spark recipe site.

A few days ago I made a minnestrone soup from skinny taste. It recommended a can of navy beans drained and then pureed. This was the first time i have done this and it really acted like a nutricious thickner. If you like soup, try this to thicken it this way and notice the extra flavor.

This evening WAS a soup dinner-some employees of the Clay County Sheriff's office serve us a meal once a month as a fundraiser to beat diabetes and tonight they brought 6 or 7 different soups. We "test" and then vote on which is best. Tonight I had the white chicken chili and the vegetable with ground beef. I like the vegetable best. I wanted some of the taco soup because I know it's good but I can only eat so much! I also had some tossed salad. I may make a small pot of chili for tomorrow night.

It is a cream type soup with a very mild flacor and loos like soft grits or cream of wheat. I am always looking for changes to my meal planning. I did find two more at the spark recipe site.

Never quit dreaming.

Wonder if my husband would even try that. hmm.. I'm really hoping tonight's dinner at church is soup or stew! I'm freezing!! I should not spend 30 minutes outside with wet hair trying to catch the neighbor's loose dog in this weather!!

I made a leek and cauliflower soup yesterday that was that was put in the blender so that it was a cream type of soup. I don't have the recommended immersion blender to use. Not bad and tasty soup with just a few ingredients.

Have you tried the recipes here or just a search online? All recipes is a pretty good recipe site but there should be a lot of recipes out there.

Chili is always our favorite along with the church dinners where several people bring their favorite soups and we get to try them all. LOL I like potato soup along with beef stew and all the vegetables in that.
