I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia nearly 30 years ago and managed to stay off sugar for 10 of those. Have not crossed over to diabetes and hope to keep it that way. Dh not very helpful. He is 55 and weighs about the same as when we met. He has sugar all over the house and wants to keep it that way. He drives truck and just bought many pounds of candy bars which he keeps in our storage freezer. Yesterday was the 1st day in some time that I didn't eat something sweet. I managed to stay off sweets before with him being this way. I am determined to be able to do this again. Eating a really good breakfast and lunch yesterday seemed to help.

To anyone who is trying to break the sugar habit i recommend drinking green juice or green smoothies. They have really helped me and they are very good for you.

Hello everyone!

I am new (again) here...I am back after a lengthy absence due to, well let's just say I dropped the ball & gave up. I am beating myself up over leaving but it's over so now all I can do is brush myself off & I'm tackeling it again & I WILL NOT give up this time. I am making these changes in my life for ME, to better my life & feel better about how I look & all.

I do have a major weakness when it comes to sweets & must find ways to control it & stop eating them the way I do. Any ideas, suggestions or ideas to better help would be much appreciated.

Thank you all & I look forward to chatting with you soon
Love hugs
Laura

I have cut WAY ----Back on sugar and feel so much better...... Great reminder!

diet coke is also an addiction. I only have one a month, If Even that ---now. I replaced it with water, ice and lemon.

I have cut my truvia-for coffee and ice tea down to 1/2 pkg. I make my ice tea with tea bags and add my own sweetener (1/2 tsp. per cup) I no longer buy... crystal lite.....

Hey...
I recently heard that if we take 6 weeks with no sugar, we'll break our addiction! They say to check every label. Sugar must be no higher than the fifth (5th) ingredient in anything we eat for those first six (6) weeks!
I think it's worth a try! We'll see if I can do it!

Welcome Tiffany! This sugar thing is THE BEAST of all time, but you'll find TONS of people are fighting the same thing as you and I. Baby steps! Welcome!
