Montrose28 - I think gardening counts as great exercise!!

I'm back from a week away, and ready to get back into my exercise routine. I also need to start tracking my food again. I was tempted to give myself the weekend off and start again on Monday, but I know from past experience how easy it is to let go of good habits and slip back into bad ones. So I need to get straight back to healthy living!

Saw my diabetic Dr yesterday and my insulin has been increased my night numbers are still on the high side.

Finished the garden along two sides of the carport yesterday, and was so happy with my efforts that I started creating a grass-free border along one side of the front lawn. Not a big area, but still, its a start,

Today I'm hoping to finish the garden I was working on yesterday, then I have to find a way of creating a way bigger garden so the gardener doesn't just whipper snip or mow right over all the dwarf agapanthus plants I'd planted around the borders of the front lawn, and the mystery bulbs which have suddenly appeared nearby. It seemed like such a great idea to plant the agapanthus bulbs in the lawn, but now..... not so sure. Still, exercise is exercise, and hopefully all that digging and weeding (de-lawning?) is bound to help with my fitness level.

I've been hiking a few times this past weekend, plus I spent over two hours loading and moving boxes for the Humane Society's big garage sale. I also did 40minutes of WalkSlim. I've been pushing through quite successfully this week. I rolled my ankle while hiking today and it's pretty swollen so probably not going to do my second workout today. Hope everyone is doing well!

I have been doing dumbbell exercises for the past week and seeing some results on my upper arms. I still can't go for a long walk because of the broken ankle in Feb., but I can walk around the yard and such. Won't be long now.

Just got back from a run - I'm a complete newbie at this, it's only my 3rd run so there's a fair bit of walking involved too! emoticon

Glad you guys like that idea. Great job Candle-Lover! I would love to learn to crochet. I knit sometimes but it oddly stresses me out. I do have some looms I like. Just did a 25 minute dance workout on daily burn. Wow am I sweating!

Day 3 going well. Just finished an ON POINT dinner and now, gonna keep my hands and mind busy with some games on facebook, then some crocheting. Hope everyone is having a good day as well. Oh, yea, I got 20 min. of workout done on my Wii also.
