Fell asleep on the very uncomfortable couch, then had a hard time getting back to bed at first...but I think I did finally get [WHOA] eight hours (?!).

I am having the same problem YCherry... I am hoping that by getting back on my normal schedule will push my bedtime earlier, but who really knows. If not, getting up at 6 and going to bed after midnight may kill me. LOL

Last night it took me a little bit to go to sleep, but overall I slept through the night. I did decide that maybe I was getting too much sleep since my kids are with my parents and I haven't been sticking to my normal schedule. This morning I got up at 6, which is about the same time I usually get up when the kids are home, so hoping that maybe I can get back into my routine and sleep will not be an issue. Guess we'll see how it goes in the next couple of days.

Horribly emoticon !! I tossed for most of the night. I woke up at 5:30 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep. Not to mention when I got up I was sore all over. I feel like I was fighting with myself all night emoticon

I think I slept straight through until the alarm went off! It was probably only 6.5 hours, but I felt really good when I got up, so I'm not going to complain for now, since I kept waking up the two nights prior.

Got 8.5 hrs of good sleep last nite and have been getting at least 7 hours per nite for about a week now. I credit this to 3 things. Sleep in a different room from spouse (ceiling fan on low) and close the door; a late evening snack of about 100 calories which includes a meat protein; and listening to an exercise cool down by Margaret Richard / Body Electric TV immediately before rolling over and going to sleep.

HUPAMONI, It may help you to try sleeping in a different room from your husband until you can get yourself on a good sleep schedule. If you are waken by night sweats taking a cool shower may help it worked for me.

This sucks! I am trying to sleep with some suggestions that were mentioned in another post, but so far nothing... I sleep very little and then am grumpy during the day. It worries me since my children have been with my mom and dad for the past 4 weeks and I will get them back soon. I know that my temper will be short with the lack of sleep. I hate taking pills, but think that there may be no other solution. I have soft music (rainstorm), lavender, I even bought a black out mask, but still I lay awake forever and find that I only get about 3-4 hours of sleep. Will most likely be less when the girls get home since they are really early risers..

Hot flashes and my husband's C-PAP machine makes me
get up several times a night. I am constantly throwing the covers off of me, and then his machine
loses it's seal, and squeals...really fun to listen to...lol When I tell him it is squealing, he moves and it seals back up, then he says it isn't squealing
lol I gave up and just listen to it! UGH!! Sher emoticon emoticon

CAPTAINTRACI, I have the same problem as you I sleep for a few get up take awhile to fall back to sleep, get up etc. I find that my back pain wakes me up and can sleep good if I control the pain. I think it would depend on what wakes you up.

I slept good last night but I took a whole sleeping pill instead a 1/2 I slept from 10 to 6 so 8 hours the first time in weeks! Yeah!

Got a full 8 hours sleep last nite. Blew my calorie allowance with a late evening snack of 6 ozs ham before bed. I am finding that when I do not get a good nite sleep I eat more the next day. It also seems that with a salty snack of protein I do not have to get up as often at nite - this might be worth exploring futher. The fact that I did my exercise in the morning may have also helped.

6 hours sleep last nite. Asleep at 10pm and fully awake at 4am. Only up 1 time and that was at 4am. At 5am I found my stomach saying it needed something to eat. Had skipped an evening snack because I had maxed out my calorie allowance. I am finding that if I do not get my 8 hours sleep that I want to eat more. Yesterday I finished my 2 mile meditation walk by 6:30pm.

6 hrs sleep last nite. The first 5 hours were good but it took about 2.5 hours to get that last hour of sleep. Up 3 times. Need to figure out a way to keep that wandering mind from keeping me awake. Felt like a 3 this morning.

I managed to finally get to sleep at 5:30am this morning and was awoken by my 3 year old at 8:30am!! The night before I had 4 1/2 hours.Not feeling too great feeling spaced out and extreme lack of energy. Any tips would be great. Dont want to go down the route of sleeping pills as I'm a single parent so need to be woken if my daughter wakes up etc.

Glad your sleeping pill worked. Hurray! What sleeping pill did you take if you don't mind me asking. I've tried ambien, rozarem, and lunesta and they didn't work for me.

I too was up and online last night until late. I thought because I slept ok Tuesday night, exercised, didn't take a nap that I would be able to sleep last night, and imagine that... I was up until 3 am this morning doing stuff online. I got some of my school work completed, but then I feel like I am a zombie today. I did some stuff on here. ... Hopefully tonight I will sleep, but guess we'll see what happens. :)

I'm doing a terrible job of getting my 8 hours of sleep. There should be nothing stopping me from getting into bed by 10pm, but I get caught up with a show on tv, or on the internet. I tell you.. I'm barely awake and prying my eyes open to watch these dumb shows, but I can't make myself shut it off and sleep. I got 7 last night. Better than 5 the other night.

I didn't sleep at all two nights ago. Last night I fell asleep around 4 and slept on and off
until 7am. Then, I was able to sleep from 7-10:3am. I am disabled due to back injury. I feel for the ones that have to go to work early and can't sleep. That's hard. I went to my doctor yesterday. Have been suffering from severe depression and since the loss of my mom it has got worse. My doctor put me on Lexapro and in two weeks have to follow-up. May I'll take to her about a nerve pill that may help me relax to get some zzzz's in.

I got 8 last night. First time in a while, but not all that restful. I'm a bit sleepy today. Seems like the more I sleep the more tired I am during the day. Anyone else have that? There are says when I sleep 2-3 hrs and wake up rested and feel better during the day too.

3:58 am here. I do online courses late at night when
I can't sleep, which is pretty much every night just
about.

'Up All Night'.... I don't sleep much either. Last
