When i track my workout for fitness blender I have to add them in manually then use a rough estimate for the calorie burn. I don't have a calorie burner counter tracker thingy, so i pick a number between the ones that they had shared on the video.

Feeling pretty good. I am almost done with week 4. I am feeling pretty darn good. Stronger and have more endurance. I fell off the wagon a time or two when i was going through week 3, but i am doing better. Sometimes you just have to put your head back in the game.

Today is day one of starting fitness blender. I tried my first workout today. I just need to add my own music next time. Makes the time go by faster.

What activity do you use when you log you workout?

Okay so it's day one of my June goal. I have stuck with my pre goals and have managed to lose about 10 pounds in almost a month. I have tried a few recipes of the omnivorous food plan from FB and they are not bad. I almost everyday eat a egg and bell pepper on bread with avocado for breakfast. Snack is usually a rice cake with peanut butter and either a banana or an Apple.

How is ever one else doing thus far? Hope you are making great headway! Let us know. we are better together than doing this by ourselves. Accountability buddies UNITE!!! emoticon

Lehia,

Let us know how it goes on the eating plan. Sounds interesting.

I completed my first week on the 4 week flexibility program, and tomorrow I start the new 8 week fit program. I plan to consistently do the exercises in the 8 week fit program, and do the flex sessions as time / motivation allows.

I am still getting used to the new calendar scheme - I still like the ebook in that you could easily browse from day to day, and print it out and write on the pages.

Also, I don't work out at my computer, I work out at my TV, so I set up a playlist on the computer that I can access from Youtube on my TV. Seems like it would be lots easier to go directly from computer, but my office doesn't have room.

Take care, and have fun!

Hubby bought me the omnivore food emoticon plan from these guys. I thought that i would just dig right in and do it step by step, but instead i am going to take a few days here and there from it and slowly introduce myself and hubby to healthy clean eating. emoticon

I have started to utilize the new website calendar emoticon they have up too. This morning i did 30 minuets Yoga emoticon and i feel great. I sometimes don't want to sweat everyday, but i do need some sort of something to wake me up. Its better than coffee.

Just finished week 1 of FB 8 week fat loss program. It was tough, but my muscles were sore after the workouts and that showed me they were effective. Looking forward to seeing great results in the coming weeks.

Lehia,

The program is really working well for me. I am a very slow loser, like it has taken me 3 years to lose 30 pounds. I have been working out in some form or another for years, but I have never run into a plan that seems so tailored made for my goals. I often do a modification to make some exercises easier, but am progressing quite well and I keep trying.

The nutrition part is a whole different discussion - and that is where my real challenges are!

Keep up the good work on the workouts, and hang in there with the diet!

Thanks Calista! emoticon I tried to do one of their workouts today and it was just too much. I had to switch it out for a lower impact and speed, but I am still plenty sore. :) emoticon

emoticon my weight hasn't moved from 330, but I noticed I have more strength and flexibility. I know I don't drink enough water, but I am working on that. I am to use to fruit juice and sweet teas. My eating habits were horrible the past week, but I am happy I didn't gain weight.

How's your journey so far?

Lehia, I just did the 4 week beginner program in October, and it was plenty challenging but mostly do-able.

I really had some measurable results on the personal fitness test, as well as a lot of perceived improvements - especially with balance, flexibility & stamina, all of which directly contribute to quality of life issues.

Keep up the good work!

I am starting the 8 week round 5 program today, so I am glad to know that you are doing this same program.. I just finished the 4 week beginner plan, and I struggle with some of the exercises, but I have made some great progress.

I'm doing the 8 Week Fat Loss Muscle Building Workouts- Round 5. I'm on Workout 18 today. Love Fitness Blender workouts. They just hurt so good. I like the plans they make, because if you work your legs hard one day, next day is focused on upper body. Love that. Now if I could just lose this last 10 lbs or so.

Lehia,

This is a great workout for off days. It is easy enough to use as a recovery workout, but challenging enough to feel some accomplishment. 27 minutes and beginner friendly!

Sookie,

I agree with you that the shorter program works better when you have a very full schedule, and it sounds like you do! Congrats on what you have accomplished!

Lehia, I am doing the 4 week low impact challenge - just took a week off to do the 5 day challenge, and will restart the 4 week challenge now. On my off days, I work at finding something to do activity wise - a hike, a walk, swimming, etc.

Hello Sookie

They are coming out with a new 8 week program. I have had a few friends do other 8 week programs and they all have done wonderful. I know that we all get annoyed with not losing an abundant amount of weight at once, but we learn so much about ourselves when we take a little slower journey. :)

I understand the soreness from each day. Last week i did the older 5 day challenge. Another sweat fest and seriously sore all week, but i pulled through. I would like to try one of them 8 week programs.

Have fun on your cancer walk! emoticon

That's great, Lehia13

Today would have been Day 3 and I'm still sore from Day 1. Did a walk dvd instead. I have the breast cancer walk this weekend. So I'm going to wait until after to revisit the 5 day. Plus aren't they coming out with a new 8 week workout for busy people in November? If so, I may just wait for that.

I too prefer longer workouts, but a long commute, caring for an adult child with disabilities limits me. So I get it in whenever I can.

I'm on day 3 of the free 5 day workout program for busy people. I need the 'beginner' modifications, but this is quite a workout. I actually prefer the longer workouts - will go on to longer workouts next week.

Yesterday I did a Leslie Walk in my goals of getting in 10 min/day

This morning when I logged onto youtube, I noticed FB's 5 day workout. With a little time on my hands, I did that and it was tough, but I appreciated that they did modifications. Hope that they do more of those in the future. Since Sunday is the Breast Cancer walk, I will most likely use that as my workout.

got sucked back down into the business of not taking time for myself, but now that school is over for 2 months, I have no excuse. doubles is coming. Cardio everyday and ST every other. rest once a week with low impact stuff like walking or stretching or yoga.

started yesterday with P90X Chest and Back and FB's 45 min HIIT Cardio & Abs
Today was Plyometrics, and possibly a run or some PiYo later...
Tomorrow will be P90X Legs and Back and Fb's Kettlebell w/o
Saturday looks like PiYo and a run
Sunday will be my rest day as we're headed out of town for the day!

Hope everyone's July is starting off well!

I did a 45 minute walk/run on Monday. Then when I got home from work I did 45 minutes of Zumba from a new Wii game my husband got me for my b-day. It was so much fun.

I think I may do a recovery Fitness Blender workout this afternoon.

This week has been crazy busy. No workouts since Monday! Tomorrow I'm off to the gym, I hope! If not, I'll still be sweating up a storm.

And now that school is done, I can get my workout in in the morning :)

And make sure that I log in here every day. Troubles come with food though now that I'll be home mostly everyday.

Monday I did a Run/Walk for 45 minutes around the afternoon. Then after dinner the kids and I went for about a 20 minute walk and then my daughter and I did a Blogilates dance video from YouTube.

Tuesday I did a 30 minutes low impact lower body Fitness Blender workout. Then after dinner my daughter and I ran and skipped in the rain for about 20 minutes.

Today I debating whether or not I should do another Run/Walk or another Fitness Blender workout. My back is still holding up good which is motivating me to go run…but I'm debating whether or not I'm over doing it. My back is a little sore now, but I think its a good sore from my workouts and not a pulled sore like before. Just nervous but very motivated. Maybe I'll do another Fitness Blender workout today and save the running until tomorrow to see how my back is feeling.

Thanks! The trip was great! Loong bus ride, but we were in a coach with a bathroom and tv's/dvd player. So the kids didn't have to wait til we stopped to go to the bathroom, and were entertained by disney all the way. the science centre was amazing, and I loved it and so did the kids!

but we left at 7:30am and got back at 7pm. it made for a long day.
then thursday after school my family went on a bud trip tp a lacrosse game. we got home at midnight-another fun but long day.

Friday, I got in an Asylum Back 2 Core workout, but no running other than running errands. although my son and I went on a short hike.

after a long sleep in (till 9am) today my workout was mowing the lawn for an hour.
now it's time to tidy stuff and get groceries

hope everyone has a great weekend!

I didn't workout yesterday nor will I today. Yesterday was my class's trip to the science centre and a 4 hour bus ride (coach!) there, 3 hours there and a 4 hour bus ride home was workout enough.

Today my family and a bunch of others that have kids in lacrosse at a local arena are going by bus (school) to watch our closest city's team play their arch rivals (1.5 hours away from home) we'll be home around midnight tonight.

Tomorrow, I'm taking an unpaid day off work for R&R. I'll be running and then getting another workout in later in the day.

Sorry: C25K stands for "Couch to 5K" it's a program for beginner runners to build endurance to run 5K without stopping. W3D2 meand it's week 3 day 2 completed! (the program has your run intervals that have you increase your run time every week before moving up to another level of difficulty. This week, starts with a 5 min brisk walk, then 2 reps of 90s run/90s walk, then 2 sets 3min run/3 min walk then a 5 min walking cool down. 3 days a week, with at least 1 day off in between runs. I have some hills in my 5k route and am never done in the time the program says it will take me. My goal is to get closer to 30 min for 5K.

Today was a 5am wake up and Week 3 day 3 done. 37 minutes for 5K in the humid heat which I am not accustomed to, so I'm still taking that one as a good run. that and it was drizzling enough that it kept the black flies away.

Wednesday: P90X Chest and Back

Thursday: 5K obstacle run cross country

Friday: P90X Legs and Back or going to the gym for some heavier weights than I have at home and P90X L&B

Saturday: PiYo (pilates/yoga) that I just discovered on youtube! and C25K if I want to procrastinate some more instead of writing my report cards. I know how important they are for parents and kids (I like knowing how my kid is doing, too) and yet sometimes all the double speak we have to do just exhausts me.

Sunday: More C25K if I don't do it on Saturday, and YogaX.

Femme- wow, 60 min of jump rope and an easy run of 5-6 mi. I am in awe. And hope to be able to do that when I grow up emoticon

It was too beautiful outside today to not get out there. I did a walk/jog. I really was in the mood to jog but was scared to re injure my back so I tried to take it a little easy while still getting my heart rate up. I think I'm going to re-track my calories for the month of June. I did this right after my daughter Emma was born and lost weight really quickly this way. This time around I was trying to not get obsessed over every calorie so I haven't been tracking. But, it works, so I am going to do it again for June and see what kind of results I have.

You guys are doing amazing!

Looking good! How did all your workouts go?

Tuesday was C25K W2D3

Wednesday was my night off.

Thursday I ran/walked a 5K cross country.

Friday was C25K W3S1 on the ellptical and then about 15 minutes of strength training.

Not sure what today will bring. maybe some PiYo or another 1000cal fb video.

I need to schedule next weeks workouts in as well.

I did this tonight-plans changed when hubs had to go help a friend. Couldn't go running and leave my 7year old by himself!

1000cal workout done :)
Agreed that the HIIT was insane then it trailed off, and I was waiting for more ST legs-it was all upper body. I guess they figured since we did so much HIIT and cardio after that doing a leg segment in strength would be too much. I also did more stretching afterwards, it made it a lot better. Feeling good now- and off to bed!

i did the 1000 calorie workout...it was challenging but i think it's doable if you've been doing the workouts consistently

the HIIT section is the hardest and then it tapers off imo

i added more stretching at the end...i didnt think he stretched enough for me

but i feel great!

I'm trying that one out tomorrow! Can't wait. Today is an active rest day, as I ran yesterday. Today it's just walks with the dogs and maybe some gardening, and of course, housework emoticon

Edit: I did do my stretching yesterday, too. and I needed it! Everything was tight!

Hi! I'm new on here, hope you don't mind if I jump right in!

Tomorrow is a stretch/active inactive day for me. I'm not sure if it will be yoga - yes, I've done yogaX as well, and it's pretty good for stretching and balance, I find that I'm always impatient to get through the sun salutation into all the warriors and triangles. I am thinking of fb's stretching, pliates yoga workout and then goodbye stress yoga.

Starting doing P90X again but I'm making it a hybrid program. I'm using the P90X strength and then plyox and other cardio DVDs options. The ST is a big thing for me because it seems to work for me in combination with high intensity cardio. That's what I love about fitnessblender. They have workouts for everything. When I only have a few minutes, I can still get in a HIIT, or if I have the time, I can do a 1000 cal burner!

Since I just started back up, I'm going to be measuring once a week. Hopefully all my numbers will start to go down! emoticon

I have done that yoga video as well. I thought it was pretty mild but for some reason my back was really hurting the next day. I've done another spine stretching yoga video from Ekhart yoga on You Tube that actually really helped my back. I'm trying to incorporate a yoga video each week though and still don't have a favorite yet.

I still LOVE Fitness Blender's workouts. However, I have only been doing about 3 a week because of my back and I have to choose some of the easier or shorter workouts. I used to be a big fan of BodyRock back when it was all Zuzana. I have tried to get into BodyRock with the new people but I just can't.

Sorry I just saw your message! I have still been logging into SparkPeople but for some reason I didn't get a notification. I have been doing really good nutrition wise. I started a 30 day streak where I didn't eat late (any time after 8 pm) Then after 30 days I started a new 30 day streak where I still didn't' eat late but added in getting at least 8 glasses of water in a day. These couple of streaks have really got me back to being healthy. I am almost done with my next 30 day streak with is now not eating late, getting my water in for the day, and now getting at least 8 servings of fruits and vegetables in a day. I am feeling fantastic. My next streak will be getting in a certain amount of exercise a week. I have been doing about 3 workouts a week right now. I am trying to ease back into the workouts because of all the back pain I have experienced this year and I have a tendency to over do it! :-)

Jane congratulations on the weight loss! The eating definitely is the easiest and hardest part haha depending on the day and what is tempting me. I'm doing pretty good over here, staying a steady weight, but I think I just need to start hitting harder. Summer is just around the corner.

On another note I totally hate the push up burn out too! It is exhausting!

Awesome!

Yesterday I did one of their new HIIT workouts. The last thing was 60 sec of jump squats. I was so proud that I pretty much kept pace with Daniel on those. emoticon

How's your eating been, Raw? Mine has been so much better the last 2 weeks. Thanks to doing better in that department, I was able to lose 2 lbs last week. emoticon Tomorrow is my weigh day. Cross your fingers that I'll have another loss. I'd be pretty pumped with .5.

I'm getting my butt back in gear, too. My eating has been horrid this week.
Tonight is grocery shopping night & I vow NOT to buy a chocolate cake. Or ice cream. Or any other naughtiness that tempts me.
And I'm going to track my food so I know I'm staying in range.

NOT_BIG_BONED, are you back to healthy?

Hi EVA, Fitness Blender rocks!

I did a total body ST & abs yesterday. Today my upper back muscles are sore. There was an exercise in that video I had never done before - supine push ups. At the time, they felt super easy but I'm feeling it today.

I hurt my back last week and I'm still recovering. I can't wait to be recovered so I can work out again. I'm being really good w/ my nutrition which I"m proud of. I'm usually good when I'm working out and then If I don't work out its hard for me to be motivated to eat good. I'm trying to make some habits that I can keep long term though instead of looking at this as a diet.

I would LOVE to try out one of those 1,000 calorie workouts. I will when I'm all the way recovered.

I FINALLY did one of the 1000 calorie w/o's today. I did cut out the 2nd round of abs - so I cheated. Shame. Shame. Not! The 36 min of HIIT liked to kill me. Next week I plan to do another one. Try to make these a 1x a week thing.

I made some lentils this morning. I told my husband "you know I'm serious about losing weight when you see me making lentils". emoticon

Hopefully I'll be like you & be unwilling to snack on junk after working so hard. emoticon
