Have started back with some exercises. It is helping me to turn things around in the eating department. Have been reviewing my goals and reasons for losing weight. Wrote myself an encouraging letter yesterday (spark Coach Challenge).

Have been really struggling the past 2 weeks with bingeing on sweets. I think I have finally turned the corner today. Not sure what happened. Probably the lack of sleep and regular exercise.

Today was a day where my sweet tooth was calling. I don't have any sweets in the house and didn't grab any when I was out and about this morning. That is the only thing that saved me from giving in. Tomorrow will be a better day.

Have been having trouble with mindless eating in the afternoon and evenings. I realized that I am probably just overtired from not sleeping well since my ankle surgery 4 weeks ago. I will try to get in a nap and see if that helps.

I started the Sweet Tooth Challenge yesterday and only had one craving last night and didn't give into it. Today, I found out my daughter might have a disciplinary "conversation" or be written up at work for forgetting to do something at the vet hospital where she works. It's something that makes money for the huge company she works for, so I guess they're thinking about profits. Two other people also got the email from the Practice Manager talking about taking disciplinary action. She is very conscientious and work herself almost to death for the hospital, but it feels like they don't care. From the stress of this, I've had 5 sugar cravings already today. The first four weren't bad, but the 5th almost got me. I had already made the decision to eat candy when I remembered that I just wrote a blog about "Breaking Up With Sweets" yesterday and I needed to resist the temptation. I don't know how long my good intentions will last, as my daughter has already cried, said she's a "piece of sh!t" and nothing she does is right. She believes it, too. It breaks my heart. All I want in stressful situations like this is to eat chocolate for comfort. I will try hard not to.

Yesterday, 11/16, went much better. Had to fast in the am for a procedure, was very hungry after but was able to make good food choices.

Yesterday was my first day of the challenge that said - no sweets - so of course I had to eat them and that started a small binge of a brownie(thankfully measured out previously), chocolate candies (2 oz), cheese crackers, and graham crackers (about 5). Just kept eating but beyond full. I don't handle - NO's - well. At least today I am over it and eating fine and not continuing the binge.

Here is a place to come and chat about your craving, what is happening in your life and how sweets work into it. It is also a place to seek and give support.

I did good yesterday staying away from sweets until after dinner when I remembered we had a bag of caramels in the cupboard. They are gone now, I split them with my hubby.
