I have an 80 druid that's been in Naxx, Ulduar some. I don't feel I'm "done" with her either, but that's ok. It's my play time & I enjoy playing alts sometimes. I found that trying to "finish" the druid, I was feeling like it was a job. I have all the professions but jewelcrafting covered on my main server, which has 6 toons over 70 & a couple almost there. I've tried all the classes to see which ones I preferred playing. My alts supply mats to each other and my main for crafting, and I like understanding how each class plays.

I have every spot except one filled with an alt but I just love my main a warrior so much that I don't want to level any of my alts, they are all under level 20 except my rogue is in the 40s and my dk is whatever level you start at lol.

I was unemployed during a fair chunk of time during BC and so in addition to my main I have a druid, paladin, hunter, priest, rogue. I also made a DK when the time was right.

The only one 80 now is my mage. I don't have the time to workout, work, spend time with the boyfriend and play all my alts. My druid is my miner/herber and I can't seem to get online to play her much lately. Just gotta get to 77, and she's been stuck at 73 for the longest.

Ya I have a DK made up as well, but I noticed the guild I'm in is full of DKs. So I hope if I ever do get the time to really get it to 80 I hope I play one good. I could see if I had plenty of time I could maybe master all classes, but I know some ppl just CAN'T play a certain class well for some reason so will just have to see in time.

TY all for the advices. I'll definitely take the play for fun one seriously. I would hate to make this game feel like a second job since it has happened before at one point in my life. (Different job, time, place, and relationship when that happened.)

I like having high level alts from every category (DPS, Heals, Tank). It makes raiding a heck of a lot easier...because if your guild is looking for a healer, you can go. If your guild is looking for a tank, you can go. Just want to be there for the pew pews? You've got that covered too.

My favorite part of WoW is leveling. So, getting to 80 is the best part for me. Of course, it's a total time-sink...So, I guess that answers your question about wasting time.

I agree...you just play to have a good time.

I have a level 80 Tauren Shaman which I play quite often. But if I feel like something different, I play my level 55 gnome warlock. They are so different that I appreciate the variety they both bring to the game.

Our guild is running Naxx now and really enjoying it. I got me some awesome Shoulders (Mail) a couple of weeks ago and had them enchanted. They are sooo cool :)

Play how you feel... if you feel like you want to make as many characters as you can, then go for it. You pay to play, so play how you want!!!

Personally after almost 3 years of playing i don't have any major alts, i think i have a lvl 41 mage - i hate doing quests more then once lol. I'm dedicated to my priest

My main is a level 80 holy pally with jewelcrafting/blacksmithing as professions.

My alt is a level 75 warrior with mining and weedpicking. I made the alt to help with the gold needs or when (back in the day) I just wanted to hit things and get away from healing.

The problem with my alt is never having enough time to play her.

omg...I'm an altoholic.....But really, it's good to have alts because when you're playing one, the others can rest. I also have a short attention span :P I think it's good because I've really gotten to see how every class/race plays and have had a lot of fun testing them all out :) Not to mention the benefits to your main if your alt is strictly in a gatherer profession :)

I find having alts very rewarding as I have a small attention span. Between my boyfriend and I crafting wise, we are self sufficient, which saves tons of money later. And my favourite part of WOW is leveling/questing (even though I know a lot of others highly disagree). And if I ever want to do something else instead of play the same class, I have someone to switch over to. Always something to do.

A DK is a great idea if you are really stuck on time.

Make a DK :) cuts your time in half. The only thing is that you'd have to start over if your take gathering professions.

I have my main level 80 druid and even though she's hit that level and is able to do naxx 25 I know it doesn't stop from there. I keep feeling like I'm not "finished" with her yet enough to really get my use of what little time I have to play, to get another character up to that level and be able to use them to full potential. I really want to though if not for the fact that having some needed professions easily accessible would be a nice perk. So really the question comes down to should I even bother with it or am I wasting more time in my "paid for time waster."
