Snow melted enough to get out and about on Wednesday. Still snow in some places where it was piled up, but we hit 50 degrees today and tomorrow is suppose to be just as nice. I think I will plant peas and onions.

Good afternoon everyone. I'm just now getting up. I know it's late. I've been reading in bed and just relaxing. I'm reading "The Obesity Code" by Dr. Jason Fung. It's an eye opener. I'm reading it and I keep thinking "WOW, so that's why" and wonder why a doctor hasn't told me before.

Anyway, I'm not as sore today. I drank about a gallon of water yesterday to flush out any toxins lurking around. And I promised the kids I'd turn on the lights before I started down the stairs. emoticon

Rita, Hope you are feeling better now. Falling is not a good thing.

Moana was an enjoyable Disney movie. Reminded me a bit of Mulan. Certainly better than the recent real life incarnations of Alice in Wonderland. That is what I did for fun today.

Karri, OMG "Mt. Washmore" made me laugh out loud for a while!

I'm not doing much today. Fell down half a flight of stairs in the middle of the night. Not fun. Kinda sore and stiff. Made my bed though.

I am still super busy, but doing good. Went out to eat Thursday night to celebrate the boy turning 12 yrs old, and still was down 3.5 pounds Friday morning. I stayed the same today. So now I just have 0.3 ounces to make my first goal for the yr. Then I will set another goal.

Working on both DD's rooms today, doing 15 minutes in each room then taking a break. Repeat. I didn't realize their rooms were such disasters! Getting them clean has become my top priority!

Also working on Mount Washmore today. Hoping I can get it caught up so that from now on I can do a load a day and keep caught up!

Working on a bookcase with cubbies today. We use it for office supplies and GD's college stuff. She has overrun it with art supplies. I emptied and polished, now she is putting everything away.

Think I will put ten things away in the bedroom now. It forever remains my hot spot and it really needs to get lean and healthy too.

It did occur to me that I probably don't need a full hamper for unmatched socks. I can go six months before it fills. I probably should downsize into a basket or drawer and rehome the hamper. One less thing sitting on the bedroom floor even if it is tall an narrow.

We have a bag sitting in between 2 chairs in the living room. The chairs sit at an angle so you can't see the bag. I fold clothes in there and stack on the couch. then ever so often we go through the bag. We use the holey ones for dust rags. I dust with one once then throw it away, but I save them for a while waiting for the mate. Otherwise when the mate shows up I'll keep it forever thinking there's another one to look for. LOL. See I've learned the hard way on that one. We got about 10 pair to put away out of the bag today. and 3 to dust with. I had a holey one show up to mate with another holey one. I think they mated and had the third one because I don't recognize it, but I'll save it a while and see if another shows up. It might belong to the boy down the street. He's in and out all the time with my youngest.

That unmatched sock hamper from the other page yielded about 60 pairs of socks. They are all back to their rightful owners. I put the white ones in a bag to bleach. I think most of those will go to the warming shelter along with pairs I no longer wear. Sadly, it appears I still have socks from when I lived in Portland. That was over 25 years ago. I developed the unmatched sock hamper years ago when the kids all lived at home. There were seven of us plus all the daycare kids, neighbor kids and the kid's friends. We had a lot of unmatched socks laying around. So I dedicated one hamper to unmatched socks. When the hamper got full, I matched what I could. Usually about half. It was easy to get rid of holey boy socks that way too. I put the socks out in groups where I knew they belonged and then the rest I left rolled up in the hamper for anyone to grab if they needed socks.

Haven't been out of house due to snow and ice since Tuesday. Went to see Arrival at theater last night. That was a thinking persons movie. Glad I saw it.

Chores: GD swamped out her dresser and tried on iffy clothes. She discarded a 30 gallon bag of clothes she no longer wears. Then she put everything away. I helped. We donated the bagged clothes to the local senior thrift store. Then we went to Goodwill and she bought two pairs of dress slacks and a blouse for work. After we went grocery shopping. It was so good to be out of the house and moving.

TOPS was cancelled again due to ice in parking lot. I lost more weight. Pouting here. Now to maintain these good new habits for a very nice weigh in next Monday.

At 8:15 this morning, it was 9 deg and snowing. Cleats will arrive Wed or Thurs of next week. Looking forward to getting rid of trash and recyclables mountains inside, and picking up my mail.!

Cleaning house will be counted as exercise in my new return-to-health program. My home and body will definitely reap the rewards.

Happy " Renew your Spirit " day. I know I don't have to be in church to do that, but I do miss being there and playing these last 3 Sundays now.

I swept the living room and kitchen floors, (We have tile) albeit very slowly and it still winded me. I did manage to shower without too much of a problem, but it was the slowest shower ever! emoticon I am calling my Dr. in the morning and get an appt. to see her once again. I can understand the breathing difficulties when I have a cold or bronchitis, but I have neither. So at this point I do not consider my COPD, asthma, to be under control. Anyway, enough about that.

Have a great day everyone. I'll continue to read, color, and watch football starting at 4:30 emoticon .

I'm sure you're right, lol. Right now it is all the arts and crafts stuff that DD got for Christmas and from before. She doesn't feel like doing them to get rid of them. I can't put them in her room right now, as it would just get lost in the clutter (recently discovered both their rooms are disasters, I don't normally go upstairs so I had no idea) So we are working on their rooms, but in the meanwhile I have nowhere to put these things. They may have to go in bags in the garage till her room is clean because we need the table for our science project this week (we are making a paper mache solar system)

Good morning everyone. Had an uneventful Friday the 13th. Been having breathing issues (COPD ) asthma which is slowing me down. However, I did laundry and changed our sheets yesterday. We'll see what I can manage today.

Vacuumed, dusted, toilets clean made up all the food dishes for tonights gathering. 8 of us around the table and chatting. Great fun! Even cleaned up all the dishes and put them in the dishwasher and ready to wash. emoticon Ahhhh.....now I will sit down and watch a movie. Night dear friends. emoticon

Living, dining, hall vacuumed. Kitchen swept and mopped and GD polished the front of the stove and fridge. Did swish and swipe in bathroom. I am eyeballing my bedroom, but need a break and healthy food. Working on a salad.

Hi team!

I just got home to find a cleaning kit I had ordered being at my front door! I can't wait to try it out! I just mopped yesterday, but I may again today just to see how well my new products work. :)

Had a great day, spent the whole afternoon at a friends house just chatting, was so nice and relaxing. Got my morning workout in and now am going to play a game with DH. How was your day?
