I and trying to fast a few times a week 12+ hours
Some go with the 16/8 rule but I hear that doesn’t always work well for women,

Anyway, seems to be working for me with 12, at least 3-4 times a week

I haven't posted much in this group, but looking for a place where I can feel supported. I have a question, does this group support fasting? If not, that's cool. Just don't want to feel like I'm doing something wrong every time I try to post how I'm doing, I fast some every week, and btw, it's working for me.

Hello all my name is Tema and I just recently joined the team but is this an active team there seems to be no leader participation I'm just starting this coming Sunday I'm doing a two week challenge to see how it works

I am just starting out. First goal is to give it six weeks then reassess based on my progress. So far day four and I feel great!

Day 2
I did very well yesterday but not counting anything yet. My foods were right foods but not keeping up with any counts. I know that is not going to get weight off but it will eventually get me there soon as I get sugar out my blood.

Did you all give up?

made the garlic honey - used a plastic top and the honey came out all over the counter emoticon , needed more anyway.

food bank was not good - why give poor people crap foods - got a few leaves of a huge cabbage (only had huge ) seems it was frozen inside was awful... did get a can ham - do not really like ham .. will have to read the can - might give it to my neighbor, glad to have then that take foods I can not eat or do not like ....did get 2 small bags of pork rinds- asked for the 2nd since I was not getting any sweets ..or breads..

a food bank is having a free farmers market today , bring a bag - can't wait , bet it will be crowded.. leaving to get there early and run other errands while out ..

emoticon lost another lb this week !!!!!! thats great for me !!!!! was not loosing anything no matter what I did ........... emoticon

IF averages 18 hours .. today is more ate real food at 1pm yesterday and its 9am now , coffee with stevia and ( in a qt container I put 1/2 can coconut milk-good one, and fill rest with unsweetened almond milk 30 cals a cup ) so add some to my coffee as cream ..
sometimes I use the immersion stick and make it frothy .. its soooo good ..
cold rainy day - so drinking a little more than usual

hi, been keto for over a year - but surgeries seem to have changed my bodies chemistry ?
just had uterine cancer surgery and blood sugars are now back to good - no meds.. last years surgery and my BS stayed high and diabetic meds like byetta did not work ? so weird.
I am worried this time about kidneys/bladder as still having problems since 1 day of a Catheter, last year had it for 3 days with no problems - always something I guess

I try so hard to stay as "natural" as I can. I find that eating out is hard for me. I've found a few places that I feel safe enough to eat, one being 5 guys burgers. I usually order a bunless double cheeseburger with veggies. I avoid the mayo, because I never know if it has added sugar. I notice if I accidentally eat real sugar I get so nauseated I can't stand it. I got the wrong coffee order at our local coffee shop this past week and I was so sick. I decided to take my own to go cup for a while, it's not worth it. I love the Ketogenic WOL, but I am still learning everyday emoticon

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

It's been a long time of Keto for me. I startèd on th "Ideal Protein" diet, quite low carb. Rather expensive, and after a few months I decided to mimic the nutrition of the diet with real foods.

That diet already had more fresh veggies than I ever ate before, and I stuck with that. They have protein powder packages, that taste like different things, a pea soup mix, special low carb bars, etc.

I ultimately found other grocery store stuff almost the same, and used protein powder (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, plain, pea) to make other things, like pancakes.
