Jacquie ,, I love our leaders doing what makes sense in a way that makes sense to them.

The way the BDays are set up is only because that's how I did it on the Dawg team (with the color coding who's stuff was that month) but my brain operates different than others, so PLEASE Do what's easier for you as long as it's on the SS so that if something were to happen to you (WINNING The LOTTERY and wanting to take off a cruise!! Something NICE would be GREAT!) others can at a glance see whats been done.

LOLOL I LOVE the way you spell there Jacquie!! You'll be delighted to know we kept the questions etc with the British spelling. WAS NOTHING SACRED to those who came over here from the European lands? MAN OH MAN!!

Re: the CAD - I did them in the order the members responded, with the exception of leaders who I usually highlighted on a Saturday and I didn't do a CAD on a Sunday because that's the Big Man's Day lol. No reason I couldn't do them alphabetically though if that's what the team wanted.

I'll get a thread up today about potential questions. I felt the last challenge was a better set as personally, I'm not too bothered about people's favourite colour or flower (I love that SP thinks I mis-spelt two of those words lol) and they were set up so it's fairly plug and play to do the CAD, if the members fill in the questions and don't either skip it completely or leave them all blank.

Birthdays/Anniversaries/Sparkiversaries: Although these are on the SS it would be a good idea to list them in the order they come up (sorry, can't get the word I need). this would be an easy thing for me to run up. I did think of doing a Google calendar or something similar but that turned out to be less intuitive than I thought and not everyone is on Google anyway.

Motivational calendar: absolutely agree Patricia, this should be in the chat thread (and I did love your graphics for them xxx) so if the QOTD is being rested/retired I'd love it to go there. I absolutely understand that a health/weight quote would be more relevant to Sparkpeople perhaps but I also kind of love that it's more holistic. for us members that are struggling with weight loss/plateaued it's a break from the "eat less/move more/lose weight what-do-you-mean-you-didn't" merry go round but I'm happy to find something more on message if the team wants it.

Re the Spreadsheets (SS) they are pretty hard to break and de-oopsieing them is my superpower. I actually quite like tinkering with them - I come from a long line of engineers and perhaps these are my virtual shed hobby.

I'm a long way from back to normal so ticking along fine on the easy stuff but really struggling with anything creative. Reading blogs, which I normally love, is torture at the moment but when I see how far I've come in the last few weeks I'm hopeful this will come back.

I'm really tired now but will pop back later and start a question thread in the ML bit

I think it's a good idea to keep some things changing. emoticon Maybe the leader in charge may want to search for a few different short answer questions?

Gracie,, I DID grab your kindness calendar for December, but LOVE ANY TYPE of calendar idea's for each day.

Since Elizabeth is quite sick perhaps she'll not do the QOTD after a bit??? I found hers so personalized, and not useful to the team as a whole. But, perhaps that's me???

I LOVE the way you have the below idea to do these ahead of time for the CAD!! AWESOME Idea!! Totally so!!

Under the EL position,, would we like to use different questions?

Those are the ones Jacquie had come up with for the FALL, but we can (and if she were here she would) mix up some new ones in.

Oh, Gracie, I second all that you've suggested. I like a lot the idea of focusing on weight loss, my nemesis! And that of many of us.

SS is Spread Sheet. I'm not too comfortable with them. I feel if I do something wrong there, everything will suffer, and I think it's true.

I agree about motivational calendar not being so therapy related. I checked out December's Motivational calendar which is called Do Good December Kindness calendar which really isn't related to our interests as far as weight loss. Below is a link where you can look at it. As you know I have loved the calendar in past, but I wish we could find one that is health/weight loss oriented.

P.S. If we can't find a suitable calendar maybe could make our own???

I like the idea of celebration days in alphabetical order (if that is possible).

I would like to see the Capital A Day and Birthdays set up here somewhere in the leader team for our eyes only. Once the winter team assembles and their celebration days are made known we could make a list here of all celebrations days by month/day where it could be accessed by all leaders.

To help all of us out I believe preparation is KEY. Going a step further, I think the comments about the team member's Capital A Day, Birthday, etc. could be made out a week or 2 in advance in the leader team and then copied to group mailing on that day. For example:

Today we are celebrating _________.

She lives in _________________ and enjoys

Something you didn’t know about

Please head over to her spark page and tell her how AWESOME she is!

Then put the team members link here.

If it is made in advance anybody can fill in at any point by just putting in a few emoticons and spur of the moment comments.

Challenge Leader - Creates and maintains the threads for the weekly challenges, verifies the addition and enforces the challenge rules, posts reminders and announcements, records the weekly "landings" and total accumulations on the Leaders’ Team Page,.

Challenge Leader (CL)

- Sets up Challenge Forum
- Sets up a new topic for each weekly challenge to post points
- Posts weekly challenge summary/details on team page
- Monitors the team's weekly challenge thread to correct any math or reporting errors (for example- if a team member posts more than the daily maximum)
- Post team points on Leader Board UPON TEAM ARRIVAL TO A DESTINATION AND FINAL NUMBERS AFTER THE CHALLENGE HAS ENDED.
- Notifies team of challenge standing
- Seeks clarification or a "ruling" if questions arise about the weekly challenge
- Assists other leaders as needed

LOVE the idea of the Motivational Calendar and the QOTD (if they change so they aren't so "therapy" related (am I naughty?) and Elizabeth wants to do them,,,, she can as a regular member as any member can put what they'd like).

With the Celebrations and the CAD they are both listed under the SS on the tab of "Member Events" which DID make it so much easier when I took over the CAD. WOOHOO!!

Under the EL position I have some ideas.

I think that it would be a good idea to post the lovely Calendar quote (Jacquie) in the Chat Thread, as well as the QOTD. Maybe this way, people will get more motivated to answer them. It doesn't matter if they are posted in the Team Wall Post too, even better, but they should be also posted in the Chat Thread imho to be answered there.

Another point is that I think it is better to have a thread just for celebrations during the challenge period and break so that in case the leader in charge of them is absent, any other leader can go there and easily look for them. This time it was posted in the introduction of each member. So, I guess you would have had to go over each introduction to see who was celebrating what?? emoticon To avoid such a problem with the Capital A Day, each celebration can be followed by alphabetical order?
