Thanks Patricia. I'm trying to organize my SP mail and came across one of Diane's that was sent. Sometimes I think my short-term memory is impaired LOL. Anyway, here it is as a reminder.

Though each group is unique, I once did the best-decorated SP page and we had very low participation. I love the idea but it seems like not most of the members like that OR are too busy to do so. It was a response similar to the activities in the motivational thread that there are about 5 members that will do it.

I think that maybe the CAD (capital A day) is good enough to visit and know something about each other? Also the blogs members post?

Do we want to do anything to encourage teamies to visit pages this season? The last 2 seasons we did, but to be honest the way we did it gets a bit laborious. I'm not particularly thrilled to do it again that way although I love visiting the pages.

Does anyone have new ideas on how we can encourage others to visit pages? Do we want to do the best page contest. I know they do it on BLC. It is a bit frilly, but fun for some although not sure this group would get into it. BLC seems to cater to word games and such. We have a lot on our plate, but I thought it might be nice to encourage more friendship. The chat room is really getting off to a good start, will see how active it is down the road..

Well, the QOTD was often times brought to the chat thread by members, especially Kathryn and MA.

The calendar quote wasn't, but there are also some of us who post like a thought graphic. In this case, I think the calendar will fit, as a thought for everyone to read and maybe ponder, who knows. It is not mandatory for the members to comment on it, as was with the thoughts posted. Some will say something or not. That's my 5 cents.

Good call, Diane.

Gracie, that's a good point.

I'm going to send out an email to the regular members who chatted quite a bit during the regular Fall Challenge, and ask them what they'd prefer. That seems to make more sense? Go to the ones who are most affected?

Leaders,,, quite a few of us go to the chat also, does it seem like more work, distraction if we have both the QOTD (which I agree its a GREAT place for ) , but also the Calendar?

I think we are going to have too many things in the Chat Room. Personally I would prefer to have a thread for the calendar. Even if no one responds to it they may read it. If it is in the Chat Thread or Wall it gets lost for reference. Also, I'm concerned that the teammates who just want to chat and share their lives and/or problems will not respond as much if there is too much clutter there. I think the QOD can be announced on the Wall each day and put in the Chat Room for anyone who wants to respond without too much distraction.

This would be my preference, please share your ideas with me about this. I could be wrong, but several of you have said the Chat Room was more responsive during the Fall Challenge than it has been in the past and I believe that if something is working why change it too much?

Comments appreciated....

Hello,

One suggestion I have is to have a 'Birthdays, Anniversaries, Special Days' topic under the Introduce Yourself Forum, instead of having it as a question in Introducing yourself. It would be more convenient also, if a leader has to step in to help with the acknowledgement. Plus the members can see it also.

We always had that on the Cloverleaf and Awesome A teams that I have been on.

Other questions you can ask:

Which country are you from?

Which country and city do you live in now?

What's your marital status?

Do you work for a living? What do you do?

Do you have any children, grandchildren?

Do you have any pets?

What do you like to do for fun?

What's your favorite exercise?

Are you following a specific diet?

Have you done any previous 5% Challenge? If yes, tell us your experience.

Two random facts about you you'd like to share.

Anything else you would like to share with us?

Dearest Leaders,

Since we've agreed that many team members do not wish to visit a bunch of threads,,, MANY of our members work or lead a busy life. That makes sense!!

Which threads do we wish to drop or put onto the Team Chat and Wall?

I am quite sure if I got this right, we'll put the QOTD on the wall and Chat as well as the Healthy Calendar?

Is there anything we wish to not do? (besides my floors? LOL)
