I've been in 190-ville for over 2 years now (with a few weekend trips back to 200-ville) and I'm ready to MOVE ON!

My plan is to add intense intervals to my cardio and make sure I'm getting 120 minutes/week of cardio interval training. I will also make sure to track my calories EVERYDAY and stay within my recommended range 5 days/week.

I plan to be outta here by labor day weekend. Let's go!!

I plan to be out of 190-ville this week. I've been here a little longer than expected. Weighed 191 3 weeks ago and then fell off the wagon for a few weeks, gained back 5 lbs. Now I'm 192 and back on track....working out every day (TurboJam videos), eating right, drinking water.

I do have a map. Not always great with following directions, but I will try!

I am increasing my cardio. Right now, I am consistent with 3 times a week. I want to be consistent with 5 times a week.

I am really trying to keep in range with the nutrition tracker. So I plan to tighten up on that.

I also want to strength train twice a week.

We will see how that goes. I only have a couple of pounds until I move on, but I don't know how long it will take. I hope to be leaving 190-ville in two or three weeks.

Hey Ladies! Thanks for the warm welcome. :)
I haven't been in the ones since I got pregnant with my now 4 yr old. When I got pregnant with him I was 180 and at that time, that was my highest weight.
At the end of the pregnancy with him, I was up to 242lbs!! That will be the first AND last time that I EVER let myself go like that!
Anyway, I am proud of how far I have come and I plan on continuing this journey. I fall down a lot, but I have continued and will continue to pick myself up and keep on doing me. ;)

So, today I did 40 minutes of strength training. It felt really good! I plan on going for a walk tomorrow instead of today. It is too hot out now. I waited too long. :(
I am going to hop on my treadmill later though.

My map is to stay in my calorie range, be serious about exercise, and be patient. I just arrived emoticon after being stuck for quite a while. I hope to hang around here for only 5 weeks or less. Can't remember when the last time I saw the 1's.

My plan is to get back on track and stay consistent. I know all the "rules" and what I should and shouldn't do. My problem is sticking with it. I have to keep telling myself that this is a lifestyle change and that I have to stick to it in order to continue to see results.

I am not officially in 190-ville yet. I kind of took a wrong turn from the last time I was on SparkPeople. A 43 pound wrong turn. So I am back to start afresh.

My map...

1) Start an exercise program with 10 minutes daily and work my way up consistently.
2) Stay in calorie range.
3) Strength training 3 days a week.
4) No Soda!
5) Stop eating 2 hours before bed.

WOW - I got lost on the way here. I never thought I would find my way out of 200ville. I feel like I have found the promised land. I am sitting on the bridge though, so don't plan on blowing it up just yet - LOL - maybe for the 4th of July. I don't ever want to be on the other side of that bridge again - so I will continue staying below calorie range 99% of the time - continue to get lots of cardio.

I have company coming - a vacation coming up - two class re-unions which means eating out - UHG!! This isn't going to be easy - but I can't go back - NEVER NEVER!!

MAP: tell us your exercise and food plan
WHEN: how long will it take you to get to the next town?

I had been in the 200's for more than year. I just recently came under that a week ago. My plan is that I'm starting a walking program and hopefully that will help in some weight loss.

I don't know about a plan to leave this town. Ten pounds sounds so far to me. emoticon

Who have you encouraged today?

I'm about half-way out of 190-ville, but I seem to be stuck. Still doing TurboJam workout videos every day - usually at least 80 minutes. And eating well. I've decided to do a 7-day herbal cleansing program. Still eating well, just cutting processed foods and a few specific foods out of my diet and using some cleansing supplements. We'll see if that gets my engine revved again!

I started hiking with the Sierra Club. This is my first week hiking during the week. So my plan is to hike on Tuesday and Thursday(4miles each time). I will also continue to walk on Saturdays as well. My goal is to exercise at least 60 minutes a day! I got to get to 180 ville by the end of this month. If not, there is always the next month and the next. The point, is that I am not giving up this time.woo hoo.

Exercise EVERY day. 50 min. average per day is the goal. Strength train on those machines at the gym every other day, or about 3 days a week.
Eat lower that 1600 calories a day.

Get in a little extra exercise to try and lose 5 lbs. before the end of May!

My hardest challenge is motivating myself to exercise. So, I picked up a pedometer and it has a little 10K-a-day challenge in the manual. It says to try and average about 10,000 steps a day. When I see I'm under the limit by the end of the day, I get up and head to the gym for some treadmill and elliptical time!!!

I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

I am tracking my calories and keeping under 1800 per day. I track the things I know and estimate the best I can for the rest. This is one of those things I knew I really needed to do, but just kept putting off saying "I'm eating okay". I've only been doing it since last Monday and I'm down 5 pounds. Obviously I wasn't eating as well as I thought. I have not had any coke or junk food this week which are my big temptations, especially the coke.

I also do taekwon do 3 or 4 times a week.

This was a great week for me so I need to keep doing the same things.

My map to get out of here is tracking what I'm eating. Try to stay within my cal range that SP gave me. And get my cardio and strength training in--at least 3 times a week although I'd like cardio at least 4-5 times a week.

My timeline to move on? I'd love to be out of here by mid March but I'm not stressing it. I've been in this town for a long time and would love to move! I used to be up to 217 and I didn't like that spot on the map and am thankful I was able to move on!

My map:
Calorie cycling - odd numbered days I really focus on dieting and trying to stay in the low end of my calorie range or just under - nothing crazy like 500 calories a day like I've seen some people doing - even numbered days I relax and pretty much eat what I want in moderation. I'm usually at the high range or just over on my calories.
My exercise goals are 810 minutes this month. I just hit the 25% mark on Saturday, so I need to step it up. I hope to be at 50% this Friday.

Timeline:
My goal was to break 200 in February. Guess I've already achieved that - what a great feeling to achieve a goal 20 days early! I don't care so much when I leave here as long as I'm to 185 by June 30. At the very least though, I'd like to be out of here by May 1st. That'll leave me 2 months for 5 lbs. Sooner would be great!

I didn't see an introduction forum so I'm using this. Here I am AGAIN! I just thought I was on my way to 170 ville from 180 ville to find myself back here. I'm not getting down about it though! I'm dusting myself off!! And gonna make a run for it. Aparently my scales are broken. I signed up for the K-Mart challenge Jan 12. My weigh in was last Sat and I was sitting at 191.8. So here I am. I'm hoping to be outta here by this weekend. I'm not staying for long. And since this is the map to 180 ville I'll tell you what I've been doing.

I'm eating between 1200-1550 calories per day. I'm trying to keep my little spark graph in the right ranges on carbs, protein, and fat. I'm trying to get at least 3 fruits or vegis in per day. Sometimes I get way more and sometimes I barely make it. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I try to get at least 20 minutes in on the elliptical twice. Tuesday and Thursday I do strength training, 20 on the elliptical, and either yoga booty ballet or the DVD K-Mart gave me that has pilates and belly busters on it. I'm working hard! I know eventually it will pay off I just have to keep it up!

Hope everyone is having a fine day! We can do this! TOGETHER!!

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Phil. 4:13

Interesting...

Similar roads on the map with some having other routes including positive attitude.

Sometimes the back roads need to be taken when the main road gets congested. The change can be a great surge and hey new scenery is nice.

Thanks for sharing your maps.

Good luck!!!

I'm new in town (barely squeaking in)

Plan: food is minimum 5 veggies & fruit/day; calories 1200-1550/day balance among proteins, carbs fats per those recommended. 8 glasses/water.
Exercise: minumum cardio 6 days/week. Right now, that's disco dancing, but plan on adding different things.
Time: in no hurry, just doing what's above will get me out when my body says it's time.

Spark start date: 10/24/07

2. Go to the gym 3-5 times a week for cardio
3. ST as often as I can handle it
4. Post messages on the boards

I like the topic. I never thought of it as a map, but I guess that's what you need to get to where you want to go.

My map is to continue to pack my daily lunches and snacks, track my food and water. For exercise I will do 4 days of cardio 30-60 minutes and 3 days of strength training. Also, check in with at least one of my teams on a daily basis.

Map -
Exercise - Elliptical Trainer, assorted videos for strength training. Pilates and yoga. Just on the recovery side of being out of commission for a back problem so the ET really is my only cardio option for awhile longer.

Food - back to tracking after taken a few months off. Still working on getting a cool weather diet that I'm willing to consume. If I wait long enough all my summer veggies will be back in full season and I won't have to stress about it.

When - I'm thinking I'll be here for about 2 weeks, it may take longer and I'm cool with that. I'm so thrilled to be under 200 that I'm just going to keep on keeping on.

Hi everyone, I just joined SP this week after almost 2 years on LA Wt Loss/Pure Wt Loss. I'm transitioning, but hope to lose a lb. a week doing 30 min. cardio 3-4 days a week and 3 days wt. training. I weighed in at 197.5 this AM, so hope to be gone in 8 weeks! That'll be the first day of spring, too. Perfect timing ...

3)Positive attitude!! I can do this.
4)I should be leaving this by the end of the month if not sooner.

Sounds all easier than it is, but a plan is a plan.

My map is the same plan as always:

1) Weight train 2-3 times a week (heavier weights)
2) Cardio 4-5 times a week, 30 minutes, intervals
3) Stay within my calorie range

My weight bounced back up, that TOM. I'm going to say that I'll be out of here 1/16. That's it. Period. :)
