keshiag, that almost sounds like the way my daddy was (may he rest in peace), when I was younger any time my mom or I said we were on a diet, he would go and buy every kind of little debbie cakes he could find... we finally caught on so when it was that special time of the month when we NEEDED chocolate, we would just say we were on a diet...lol

As far as the cookie dough, I would just go get two or three gift tins, bake the cookies (so that you actually used it) and put them in the gift tins and give them to someone elderly or in the hospital or something. (that way none of it finds its way back to your thighs...lol)

Sooooo since i have decided to start losing weight it seems everybody is trying to give me food.

we have like 3 luncheons a weeek at work
this morning someone gave me a tub of M&M Cookie Dough Mix.
Last week I was given a box of wings

Greetings, I have been bouncing around in 190-ville for the past several months... this morning the scale said 197.6... ugg... that is the most I have physically seen on the scale... I am hoping that I will find the motivation here to run down to 180-ville (though I really don't want to hang out there for very long either). I am on several different teams and so my offical weigh-in day is on Wednesday... I am hoping that I can drink tons of water and flush some of this weight out before then.

Yes I finally found the correct change and the security guard let me on the water taxi. I am off to 180 ville - well actually I just landed. Looks nice here, you guys should all come for a visit. I'll keep my spare bedroom free for you. But hurry. You know me. I have wandering feet. I will be off to 170 ville as soon as I can.

Hey there

Well the stupid security guard caught me trying to bored the water taxi without the correct change. I needed 189, and I had 190 - I was willing to give him the extra change - he just wouldn't take it, so he said I can sit here on the bench and wait for the next taxi. Got bored so I went for a 3.5 km walk instead, but now here I sit again. Waiting for the taxi. Hopefully it will be by here really really soon.

Hopefully I don't fall into the same pizza trap - believe me the thought of pizza has been oh so tempting lately.

I had a rough weekend. I had pizza...Sometimes I lose my focus, and eat something like pizza. It's rough when the rest of the household isn't watching their intake like I am. Any way I went up to 199 as of Monday morning, because of this Pizza!! Arrgh! But today, Wednesday I am down to 195! Yay!

Alright so I am getting really angry with this stupid security guard. He made me go and check out into the apartment on the 1st floor. I really wanted out of here. I need to get out of here and be gone. My goal is 190 by the first day of spring. So I have a little less then a week. I know I can do this. I have been a little on the ill side so my food intake and water intake have not been the best and although I have been working out I know it hasn't been the best workouts. But it will get better and I will get out of this town. I know I will.

We can give you some virtual sun by the pool, at least. Here in Kentucky it's rainy, but at least it's not twenty degrees any more. Our crocuses are blooming, and our daffodils have come up.

I have been MIA since...well a looong time! I have been struggling between 195 & 197. I know it's due to the food choices! I really need to buckle down. I am hoping I can get back on track again now that the time is changing and I have more sunshine! Winter has been difficult. I miss not getting out in the sun to soak up some Vitamin D!!

Anyway...I am moving into a room in building 7.

Hey everyone.

Well even though I said last week that I was going to totally skip over the second floor and just head on out of here, the guard at the door sent me right back up to the second floor, well at least he didn't make me go back to my old apartment on the third floor. That is a good thing. I am at least a floor lower. Maybe by next week he will turn his back long enough that I can run out the service entrance. Anyone with me and willing to make a break for it.

I'd be more than happy to offer you water... thank you for the kind words.

It IS hard to watch other people eat sometimes... knowing that I shouldn't eat more than two pieces of the pizza (and cheese at that), wishing I could try the stuffed French toast at IHOP, having a small sundae or a cone at DQ when other people are eating Blizzards...

Often, I have to look at these people's butts to remember that I am not the one eating the 'abnormal' amount of food. It doesn't feel that way, though.

I'm not surprised some dieters become food Nazis with other people. It has to drive them nuts, too!

LOL!! your signature is probably the most honest thing I've seen today! I see someone eating something and even if I don't want any I at least want it to be offered to me so I have the option of turning it down....or not..!!

Swimming IS daunting! The more I succeed the more I self sabotage :( I've been losing the same 10 lbs since last year!

Oh, looking at the horizon is nice sometimes... especially when you're just beginning. Once you're in the water, though, it's more daunting.

I only have 30 pounds to go to my final goal, and it seems out of reach, unobtainable. People have to point to the coastline and remind me how far down it I've come.

Hello everyone! I am here chilling on the 3rd floor. I have decided to leave my bags packed because I am NOT staying here long! I moved here from 180-ville and am homesick as heck! I had made it all the way to 160-ville last April then apparently fell asleep on the train (perhaps on a snack cart or 2) and woke up here. I am determined to head back that direction right quick!

I need a room on the 1st floor!! yesterday I really lost control. we had a luncheon catered and they had leftover cookies and brownies. I ate 2 cookies and 1/2 brownie. There are still some left...I have decided I will NOT eat them, they WILL be offered to me again...I will not die if I don't get to taste one today :)

right! I have tried so many eating plans and have finally decided to find a path that works for my body and mind. I'm ALWAYS open to suggestions tho, so never hesitate to give me feedback!

Hey Had It....I have tried the low carb eating plans (I'm eliminating the word "diet" from my vocabulary)...and it makes my seratonin levels too low... My menu today is high carb because of the dumplings but I ended up NOT eating them for lunch...the guilt got to me LOL I had a salad instead. I aim for 40/30/30 macros...40 carb, 30 prot, 30 fat or sometimes I vice versa the carb and protein. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey Mammychelle

I checked out your food chart, and I know what it says on here, but I know what works for me. I would eat more lean proteins and watch the carb intake. Not eliminate, just watch how many you are having. I do better on a lower carb higher protein diet. It just works for me. I've been following the Curves diet plan, their high protein one, and it seems to do well for me. Just my suggestion for what it is worth.

I seem to be moving all over this resort! I spent some time in the 8th building, moved up to the 4th, back to the 8th, down to the third, back to the 6th, down to the 2nd and now back in the 4th but I believe the general trend is toward the pool!! emoticon

I'm on the corner of the 6th floor, can see a 5th floor balcony from my window :) I have gotten quite a bit of flack for my menu today...check it out and send me some feed back! I will preface it with...I get chicken and dumplings once every 2 months or so...a friend makes them. So......I decided instead of making several meals over several days, I'd just knock it out in one day and be satisfied and DONE with them!

Alright I am sick of being so far away from the pool and the noise and stuff down in the 9th building is just crazy so I talked to the management and they have agreed to move me up to a recent opening they had in the 6th building. Moving in today, but I don't plan on staying here long. Talk to you all later, and see you while doing laps around the pool. Bye for now.

Apparently this luxurious resort is well hidden, because it took me this long to find it! However, I won't be staying long since I'm in building 1. The taxi is waiting for me, I'm super excited! I can only imagine that 180-ville is nicer than it is here!

Well I finally made it to town. had a few things slow me down along the road but I finally got here. I think I see the place I reserved down in building 9. Hopefully I won't be here long and I will get to move up here to the front closer to the pool. Can someone lock the door behind me. I really don't want to accidentally wonder back to 200 ville. It was a nice place to visit. Just can't say I want to live there. Hope to see everyone around.

Honestly, the more weight you lose, the longer it takes for the rest to come off. This has been especially true for me since I dropped below 200.

I'm glad you haven't given up yet. Try viewing this as a time to ingrain the habits that will keep you at a healthy weight. It's too easy to fall back into old habits once you 'finish the diet'. Instilling the 'walk after work today', 'one scoop of ice cream IS a serving', 'I like this veggie dish' habits will carry you out of 190-ville to your ideal weight.

Hello! emoticon I joined this group a few weeks ago and got really discouraged because it was taking so long to leave...I wasn't posting like I should have but was really busy with the BLC ...I am doing so great! I weighed in Wednesday at 190.2!!! One 180ville sounds soooo good to me! Sorry I didn't post enough to get to know you well. I will try to post more in 180ville...when I get there..hopefully very soon!

Come over to the resort's Fruit Bar this weekend! Our cooks got into a cutting frenzy, and we've got fruit coming out our... ears.

If everyone eats an extra serving of fruit today, we should be able to fit the rest into the refrigerator. So, skip that cookie and get some more vitamins into your diet!
