Hi! I personally wouldn't worry about how many times you had to repeat. The good news is that you are outside trying and not in bed or on the couch! Just keep at it and you will be able to accomplish Week 3! Just take it slow and persevere!

Don't give up. I have been stuck on every week since week 4. It seems I have to repeat some of the sessions more then once. I should have finished the program by the end of May but I am still on week 7. Today I went out early in the a.m. to do w7d2 and could not complete it by running but was able to walk over 10,000 steps and 4.5 miles. Go figure. I do know about the heat, it was making me feel slightly dizzy at 7:00 a.m. I did the other days on the treadmill while at the beach this past week and did better then ever. I may be taking this indoors for the rest of the sessions. Will give it one more outdoor try then if hard I will take it indoors. do it as many times as needed.

Perhaps find a friend to do it with. Yesterday I did it with a friend and it was helpful. I can't do anything in the heat so I understand. The TM sounds like an option. Good luck! emoticon

Definitely go super slow in the hotter weather. If you have access to a treadmill, that's a great idea. I did W3 a full three times before I felt confident enough to move forward and I'm repeating W4. Just go at your own pace and remember there are no rules for how many times you have to repeat a week. You can totally customize the program. Just keep at it and you'll be amazed with what you can accomplish! emoticon

Hot and Humid....just slow down. Don't worry about speed - if you can't do it - repeat it as many time as you need - your body will acclimate it just needs to take its time. Relax you can do it.

This is just my personal opinion. I used this C25K program as a guide. Everybody is different as far as their abilities, motivation, life situations, etc.

If it's that horribly hot and humid outside to run, I know I couldn't do that well, either. If you can run on a treadmill (TM) inside, I would do that. I ran on a TM during all of my C25K training and it served me well. I gained the confidence of being able to run that when I ran my first 5K, I did my personal best.

If you decide to take it inside and run on the TM, I'd start week 3 over and try to keep moving forward as best as you can according to the program. It just might give you the confidence and impetus to jump start things for you and keep moving forward. If you get stuck again, repeat it again. But try not to repeat too often.

When I started C25K I decided to do each week twice. I got to week 3 and got sick,, then a few other things happened so I was only able to run about once a week for a month and stayed on week 3 since it was still very hard for me. Now I have done it twice and some days still can't quite finish it,,, especially outside. It didn't help that it was already horribly hot and humid outside at 7am today. Any ideas to help?
