Congratulations on taking that big step and making the commitment. It really does help to keep you motivated. Good luck with it and have fun with the running while training.

Congratulations! I signed up last week for my first 5K. It is in Butte Montana on August 14th the An Ri Ra Run With The Irish.
I was really nervous until I told myself "There are no race police that will beat you up if you have to walk part of it."

It would be so amazingly awesome if I can actually run the whole thing though!

I remember how excited, anxious and terrified I was when I finally signed up for that 5k that would be my first running race! So exciting!!

But it is what kept me going so many times during the C25K program when I wanted to quit...I would just visualize myself running the race and it gave me the motivation to continue! :-)

Way to go! You're going to have a blast!

I just registered for my first 5k race and I am sooo excited to get there. It is the St. Luke's Women's Fitness Celebration in Boise, Idaho on September 25th. I now have a goal in mind for the end of my C25k program. This is so exciting!!! WOW! I can't believe I am actually going to do this. Me!! The drive thru, sleep till noon, never exercise queen is going to RUN a 5k in just a few short months!! I wish I had started this much sooner. This is so perfect for me. It is structured, changes every week, has goals and just keeps going after the first program. This is AWESOME!!! I feel like yelling and screaming and dancing around...but I can't...my husband is sleeping after a long hard day. So I will just scream on the inside LOL!
