Ok, so I messed up already. I forgot and when I went to fill my cup with frozen yogurt, I got the chocolate and vanilla mix. I guess it could have been worse than non fat frozen yogurt. It could have been a snicker bar LOL.

I guess my frozen yogurt stays in the freezer for another week and I will go buy some vanilla protein powder and drinks.......hehehe...I need to get the protein into me so my B 12 levels will come up and my blood sugar doesn't drop too much.

A shopping I will go, a shopping I will go, heigh ho the derrio a shopping I will go.....hehehe

Well have to take the truck and fill it with diesel anyway so might as well do some shopping while I am in town.

It just dawned on me as I was making a smoothie that both of my protein powders are chocolate flavored so I guess I haven't done so well. I had a protein drink Monday or Tuesday and again yesterday morning. I use protein powder to make a drink because I have a hard time getting enough protein into me. I sure didn't even think about it being chocolate flavored. Even my soy protein powder is chocolate flavored. Generally, I put the powder in my smoothies. Caught this one just in time today..

don't do much hard candy.........die hard chocoholic here......this week has been tough......no trail mix so far.....silly me bought frozen yogurt yesterday----all either chocolate or had chocolate in it......they are in the freezer......hehehe

I've been having computer problems but I'm back and ready to join in. This challenge would have been a breeze for me - not a chocolate lover and not allowed it anyway (too high in phosphate).Are either of you addiced to hard candy and/or gum drops? They are my downfall.

french fries would be no problem for me as I don't eat them.....now about chocolate--you are getting personal there......lol...............that is one of my biggest down falls....esp. dark chocolate.....and I just bought trail mix with dark chocolate in it...

Make the apple crisp and it was delish. The oat topping was perfect. I added raisins to the recipe to give it more iron and that made it even more delish. I actually have now made it twice this week.

Got the recipe from SP. Check it out.

How about chocolate?? Or french fries or both??

Because of my kidny situation I canot have brown rice,beans,wheat,etc. but don't let that stop you ladies from staying away from white pasta. I will do what I can with te fruit and veggies. The renal diet is very restricted even more so since I am in stage 4. Or, I could do no cake, ether way you decide I will find a way to do it.

how does no white pasta sound beginning Monday....use whole wheat pasta or brown rice...Jo can you do this? If not I will think of something else such as no cake---use fruit or sugar free jello instead..

I had a slice of pizza last night(the 1st in 2 weeks) and it wasn't even tasty. I don't know whether its the heat wave we are having but I seem to be living on lemon ices. It went up to 101 yesterday and is going to be the same today. My a/c decided to go on vacation so I spent the day next door with my son and his family. Thank goodness it decided to kick in today. emoticon

Jo, no need to feel guilt....this is just a fun thing to do....besides you said all you can eat is white bread......gosh...last week I had ice cream and the week before that a cookie...this is to help make us aware of the things we do eat......hugs to you..

Still no white bread here....2 slices of raisin toast for breakfast...dark bread with raisins..

Pineapple Chobani for me this morning. Love bacon but I am allergic to whole eggs. Crazy huh?? Stomach just hates them. Mouth loves them though :- /

Jo ...as long as you stay within your daily allowed amount that will suffice for the challenge...

No white bread beginning tomorrow---I don't have any white bread in the house...

Joy...thanks for your kind words...sometime next week I will finish the last serving of the ice cream then all I have in the house is frozen yogurt---except of course DJ's ice cream which I'm not tempted by. His is low fat or sugar free vanilla. DJ (AKA--Critter) is my 8 1/2 year Alaskan Malamute and yes he does have his own box of ice cream. He even knows the word and the initials I.C....LOL

I'm back. For some reason I couldn't get onto the website. I still am off pizza. Really can't do the challenge for this week since white bread is the only kind I am allowed(no wheat or whole wheat because of the kidney). But I will limit the slice of white to one serving a day

better luck next week. I was good and stayed away from any ice cream. I prefer frozen yogurt anyway.

OK...no white bread beginning Monday.

I sure blew the challenge right out of the water this week.....normally I don't have ice cream in the house----well DJ has his own carton of low fat vanilla----BUT!!!! the girls brought neopolitan ice cream Tuesday for my birthday, then had a FREE blizzard Wednesday at Dairy Queen...hot fudge sundae yesterday because I was so hot and shaky from being outside...had to cool down...followed it with 32 ounces of water..so I guess I didn't do so well on this challenge...BOOHOOOOOOO.....WAAHHHHHHHHHHH
!!!!1...The devil made me do it!!!!!!!!!! hehehe

new challenge starts Monday........what about either no white bread......use wheat or grain bread.......or no white potatoes.....use sweet potatoes instead...or brown rice or wheat pasta

Good trip into NYC today with my birthday daughter. Really made an effort to stay away from the bad foods, walked for close to 4 hours and rewarded myself with a Crumbs Cupcake.

Valuing time before it is too late

Often our days are busied with worry, stress, complaining, work, and a general wasting of time. Once we finally realize the value of our time, often for many of us it is too late. I would say ok to ice cream as long as non fat frozen yogurt does not count. totally addicted to the stuff and a new self serve just opened near my house. YUMMY!!!

Okay, I went grocery shopping today and walked right[ past the frozen pizza dough. I usually buy 2 lbs of dough and make 2 pizza's on Friday for the family. If I don't make them I don't get tempted. I know my son, daugher inlaw and grandchildren will miss my not making them but they can have pizza delivered. I will tell them not to bring any to me. emoticon I am giving myself a star for this emoticon
