Lecates, I looked for instructions with the inhaler, it's just a small portable thing, PA gave me an extender for it. I believe I have learned how now to use it, but, just need to find out how far down to push the button on the top..... Do you use one now?

Rosie, ask the pharmacist to explain it again plus there are directions with the ihhaler---I had to learn how to use one, too---never have been sure if I use it correctly either---LOL
Tina, are you prepared to pay that kind of money for those tests? Does it hurt the dog or just not looking nice? Why can't more vets be like Dr. Jeff in Colorado that doesn't charge you a massive bill to treat an animal.
Paid a bill that came in yesterday and got the bills ready for Dh to mail off tomorrow. Nice to get rid of mail as soon as it comes in. I don't do that often enough----LOL

Saw my PA for the followup, and I still have some wheezing, and a cough, have another script. for another 10 days, and I'm to go back to see her in 2 weeks, she also wants me to use, an inhaler 4 times a day, so a script. for that, I've never used one b4, nor have I ever had to, so, I don't know how, has any of you ever had to use one,? My PA explained to me how, but, I don't remember everything on how to do that, like she explained.

Today I took the dog to the vet to have a lump on her neck checked out. After bloodwork (which came back pretty normal, just a few slight elevations, nothing to really worry about) she was going to do an aspiration of the lump, but decided to do a quick ultrasound first. The lump is filled with swirling fluid and is close to her jugular and carotid arteries. She was afraid if she poked it there would be massive bleeding. So now I am waiting on a call from the Vet Specialty Hospital in Raleigh to call to make an appt for a CT scan or MRI depending on their recommendation after talking to our vet. While I wait, I'm going to tidy the kitchen counters and the family room (pillows, blankets on the couch, coffee table). I already paid bills and the sheets are in the wash.

Tina, good plan for the paint. Glad your son was finally feeling better and hope it is all cleared out. My oldest had a lot of problems with that----it ended up being caused by a milk allergy. You sound like you really had a whirlwind of cleaning---woohoo!
I actually got to enjoy by straightened up spare room this weekend---sat in there to watch TV and stretched out on the bed and fell asleep in there for a while---and the cats are very happy and spending a lot of time on that bed, too.---LOL
I have off today but no major projects calling to me---might find a spot to clean off or straighten up.

Rose - I sure hope the meds the dr prescribed help quickly to fight the infection. I will say prayers for quick healing!

My youngest was home all week with bad constipation. Took him to the dr on Thursday (3rd missed day of school, need a dr note) and he gave us a regimen for miralax and a note to go back to school Monday. He is feeling so much better now.

I did manage to get almost the whole house cleaned on Friday. My oldest son turned 16 on Friday and had some friends over. I decluttered so much! The kitchen counters are still (mostly) cleared. I was able to do the boys bathroom, loft, entry, family room, and mudroom. This week my plan is to work in the pantry. I need to buy a shelf for the closet under the stairs so I can move the paint cans from the pantry floor into that closet. Hubby doesn't want them in the garage because the temps can damage them. I don't know why we never moved them before, since they have been there from the contractors before we moved in. Oh well, that changes this week!

Good thing you went! Hope you got that laundry done.
I did clear off some things from my dining room table yesterday---had a pile of llama stuff for my gd for Valentine's Day so we took them over to her. Then she showed me how to do a few new things on my phone---and we had fun texting each other back and forth. Also finally got the tin of fudge to my son---his birthday is today.
I have a 3 day weekend so thinking of working on the spare room some more and cleaning some kitchen counters---so not sure what I will tackle today.

Yes, I went, and was told he believes I have the beginning of pneumonia and now I have a scrip. for an antibiotic and one for my cough. I most likely will not go to church this Sunday and might stay in my PJ'S all day today, I do need to wash some clothes, today because I need some clean underwear, and need to put some dishes in the dish washer.

Rosie, good for you on both posts.
Tina, guess they didn't feel all that bad---LOL Isn't it amazing how much trash they accumulate in their rooms. I remember having to make my boys clean their room---I would sit in there with a yard stick and point to areas to work on---I would help sort---and if they didn't move fast enough I could do a quick tap on the bottom to get them motivated---LOL---but that was only after I had told them to clean their rooms about 5 or 6 times---but they were always happy that they then could play with all their stuff because all the pieces of things were together again. And usually we took out at least 2 bags of trash if not more.
We had to evacuate the school I work at yesterday---malfuncion with bad air from a ac unit that caught on fire this weekend and was repaired---guess it wasn't really fixed right. What a mess! And I rushed around and made my knee ache like mad again---riding the bus to the evacuation point did not help either. I had my dh come get me once our kids were picked up so that I could go get my car and go home and prop it up----so nothing done here yesterday.

I have my two boys home with belly troubles and my oldest decided to completely clean and rearrange his room, giving a bookcase to my youngest. That led to both boys clearing out lots of stuff and trash - 4 garbage bags full of trash, a large box of papers, boxes and water bottles for recycling, various toys and things from older to younger brother (legos, star wars figures, nerf guns), some unused school supplies that will go in the bin for next year. They even vacuumed! emoticon I helped a little, but I did get the laundry room cleaned and vacuumed as well. So proud of my boys! I bet they will feel well enough for school tomorrow!

I agree, yes, all flat surfaces are and do get cluttered up, but, here, not just by me. Yesterday, I cleaned my microwave, and got the dishes, all done in dish washer and wiped the counter, yay for me. emoticon emoticon

Today is kitchen day for me. The island is a magnet for "stuff" - books, mail, newspaper, lunch box items, a juice bottle, headphones, cookie sheets and a sandwich maker that all need to find their right homes. Then I can give it a good scrubbing and polishing.

I have a few of those, Pyrex bowls, you know you can also cook on top of the stove with them, a couple I got from a thrift store. they are worth money, a few years back, maybe 2 or 3 years ago now, Walmart had a set of them on sale pretty reasonable, It was an anniversary year for them. They are worth a lot of money is that I have seen.

Theresa, what an accomplishment! Good for you in getting rid of stuff and to your dh for taking it off for you. I kept my grandmother's pyrex bowl set---but I do use the larger bowl at times---you can't find them that size anymore--but if you don't use them, you did the right thing. Good thinking on the sealer thing---and if you don't use it this summer at all, you know you can get rid of it. I like the idea of putting the shelving units out to the curb. We do that occasionally when we get something new and need to get rid of something that we just don't want to haul off---so much easier.
I worked on my spare room yesterday---didn't get of anything but I took a break and sat down on the now cleared bed and saw some things on the shelves in there that I think will go soon. I did do my taxes so that is done and that is no longer cluttering my mind and the papers can be stored away.

I hope you have a nice time on the field trip!

The storm lasted through most of the night and now it is just very high winds and sunny.
Today I'm getting some paperwork done, paying bills and making phone calls. I'll work on my desk today and the kitchen island.

Tina, glad you got advance warning that they were coming home early. Yuck to the mess running down your street.
I had energy when I got home but couldn't decide what to do---LOL---I did piddle around and did a couple of small chores before putting on my pjs and going to sleep on the couch. Glad it is Friday----going on a field trip today that I would rather not ---hope it doesn't make my legs hurt so bad that I can't do anything this weekend. I want to do the floor in the spare room and need not be to achy to do that.

I only did 1 load of laundry today. I got a phone call around noon saying the schools would get our 90 minutes early today because of bad weather coming in. We had a ton of rain and flash flooding right about the time the buses would've been on the road. It's stopped for now, but we'll see how things are in the morning. We have some new construction going on up the road and there was all sorts of dirt and sand just running down the street.

Lol, it's the only place I have for one, and yes, I do not like going to a laundry mat, but, they are not as bad these days as they when my kids were little/young and we had to go there, I'd get there early and by 9:00 am they were packed, and one lady even said to me, don't you like to fight for a dryer, I said No, I don't, some people were just too pushy, period!! It's not that bad having a washer and dryer in the kitchen, I don't leave my dirty clothes out in the kitchen, I have them in my bedroom bathroom and bring them out load at a time, I have all down stairs rooms no upstairs, just attic with insulation, I also take care of my clean ones, I'm glad I don't have to go down stairs for them also

I am so glad I never had a washer/dryer in my kitchens but it is better to have them there than have to go to a laundromat. That is where we had to go when we first got married.
I did get my desk at work straightened up yesterday.

Nope, my washer and dryer aren't in a closet in the kitchen, it's right out in the open, on the same side as my sink with a small space of a counter, in between. emoticon

Nothing done at home yesterday but I think today at work I will work on my desk a bit---spilt something yesterday and had to clean part of it, so I think I might as well do the whole thing today---LOL
Tina, hope you enjoyed the goodies enough that the mess wasn't too bad to clean up yesterday.
Rosie, guessing yours is kind of in a closet area in the kitchen. I am glad I have a separate place for mine. That is one thing I don't like in places.

Still waiting for the shelf to be put up. Maybe next weekend.

Today is kitchen day for me. Especially after Hubby was in there yesterday making all sorts of Super Bowl goodies. We got a start on it last night, but it needs attention today too.

Tina, good luck getting that put up---LOL---but you will love it. Wish I had space enough to do that in my laundry space. Hope you are feeling better.

I caught my daughter's stomach bug so not much planned for today. We did meal planning and grocery shopping yesterday and bought things to build a shelf with a hanging bar for hangers to put in the laundry room. Now to get hubby to put it up!

Made good progress on the spare room. Spent a bit of time reorganizing my cooking notebooks and getting the recipes put back in that I made over the holidays. Then they were placed back where they belonged. I think I will get rid of the toy bin in there---my gd hasn't played with anything in it for several years---she turns 11 this year---so that would free up some space. I am thinking of moving the bench I have in the living room that holds all the legos in it to in there but need to measure the space. Those I won't get rid of. I do need to clean the floor in there and vacuum----saving that for next weekend---then tackle a pile of books in there.

I would be worried about them melting at an outside Farmer's market sale.
Nothing accomplished yesterday as we went out last night. But today the plan is to attack the spare room again and change over some decor to hearts.

Tina, good progress.
Rosie, just don't eat them all at once---LOL
I found the dining room table again! Wanted to make sure it was cleaned off so that i could use it this weekend to reorganize my favorites cookbook notebook---I have everything in those plastic sheets and pulled them out to make them over the holidays, so now they need to go back in. Also used up some leftovers for our dinner last night to help clean out the fridge.

I actually got a lot accomplished today. I washed the sheets and remade the bed, cleaned and organized my desk and credenza/filing cabinet, and gathered some things for Goodwill. I even worked a little bit in my planner for Feb. I feel pretty good about getting all that done. Tomorrow I've got some phone calls to make and finish getting my planner ready. Dinner in the crock pot tonight (Slow cooker Salsa chicken - a spark recipe and family favorite) and leftovers tomorrow.

Glad you all enjoy having them visit but not me---and my son's house smelled like dog---yuck!
Hope to do a bit more in the spare room when I get home. But will be doing some clean up in the classroom today---teacher being observed on Thursday so we want a nice room for that ---it's someone from the board for this one. I hate when we have visitors---our kids don't do well with strangers being around.
