All those ideas but you didn't start the new threads, Andee!!! I signed off early last night thinking about a title...and woke up thinking about it. It is hard to choose when you seek alliteration. Well, February is here so time to emoticon the January thread and move forward in February. See you all on the new thread...in a few minutes.

Yudelka, Good for you for not complaining to your husband. That is something I am working on. (continually I might add) LOTS of prayer involved for me.
I hope that she answers your calls. Try to write down everything she says with the time and date. If you have a way of recording the call, even better. I hope things will work out.
Sweet dreams!

Tonight Jacob, Thomas and I went shopping. The plan was just for a few items. What actually ended up happening is Jacob got a new suit jacket. It has to be taken in but it was only $16.99. Thomas got 3 suit jackets and a new suit for $10.00 each. Also, some really nice vests that came with a bow tie and the little hankie that hangs out of the suit jacket. Those were cheap too. Even dress shirts were only $5.00. Thomas is still growing so the items we bought are just a little too big, but he will be fitting them all well very soon. The ties, he can wear now. Really happy about the bargains. I just hope that they are not going to fall apart.

Have a nice evening. (again)

Sorry to hear about all the issues in your house Asta, I'm glad you guys are finding solutions :-) I just imaging myself in that situation freezing, and is not a good looking picture, I remember not having proper heat and trying to keep the house warm, doing all kinds of things to help protect the house from the cold outside, good night girls, you are so right cinnamini I'm so upset with my DH but not even worth it to think about it, I told him to call her many times today he said he had to much work, when he finally call her late in the afternoon he got a voice recorder lol I have the feeling she won't answer that phone? And she will take a vacation lol

Tomorrow is the first Saturday of the month, so get ready to try to start a Bible study. Great service meeting last night for reminders. When I was first going door to door I was nervous about the magazine offering, so I usually started saying that we were at the door today to offer a free Bible study for anyone who was interested in knowing what the Bible teaches. Started some interesting conversations anyway. ;) Then even if they said no, I finally felt like I could offer the magazines!

I got some blood test results today, my thyroid level is off so I need to increase my meds. I hope that it helps me to finally feel warm again. Even in a heated room I am cold.

My carb craving is gone again, so the plan worked. I am back to feeling sane about my food again! I think I am going to have to try harder when I visit my son, the carbs available are in abundance. So hard to say no to some roasted potatoes and gluten free pizza, and one serving is never enough once I go down that road. At least sugary foods are not available, not the ones I can eat anyway!

The last of the problem issues is resolved. Hubby took the connection for the dishwasher out, cleaned and reinstalled it. He was so frustrated..still not working. Then he realized it would work better if the water was turned back on. Then he found a leak...and I think that is fixed, too. What a project. He also decided to drill some holes in the cabinet floors and backs and use spray foam insulation stuff. His thinking is that it will help insulate those pipes under there. I hope it will cut down on the cold air...when it is really cold, opening the lower cabinets is like opening a freezer door. There IS insulation in the walls, but I don't think anything under the floor. You can't crawl under this part of the house and the studs are not standard width apart.

Anyway, we will be able to get out in service tomorrow. Next round of cold stuff..possibly even some snow..will come in late Sunday.

Hasn't this month FLOWN by!

Yudelka, You should have allowed the police to come. She could indeed change her mind and not pay. Why would YOUR insurance go up when it was HER fault? Sadly, she is mistaken. HER insurance would have gone up and depending on her age, she may lose her license. That could have been "the last straw". She may have been in other accidents and perhaps she shouldn't be driving since you were honking your horn and she didn't hear it. I hope it all works out for you and your family.

I can't believe it is the end of January 2014! It is crazy how fast everything is moving.

I hope everyone is having a great Friday and enjoys the weekend.

Well I did call the police, but when my husband came to see the accident and he talk to her. She change his mind and convince him that she will pay, them the police call me back to say they were on their way and my husband told them to cancel the whole thing, the old lady told DH that insurance will go up, so he got scare lol anyway is his car is on his name and he pays for everything, the only thing I do is drive it lol so as much as I try to change his mind, he agreed with the old lady. Will see I'll keep you post

Too bad you listened to her about not calling police...people sometimes change their minds after they have had time to think about it. With a police report, you have recourse to follow up whereas without it, the incident becomes "he said-she said" and you can't prove anything. Hope she will indeed pay for the damages.

A friend got hit in FL and the person said they would pay, then claimed it was not their fault, but the fault of my friend. That police report was crucial in getting it all untangled...proving with the report and the photos that it could NOT have been my friend's fault.

Glad you and your family members were not hurt, Yudelka!

I can't believe this month is almost ending, wonder what would the next February post will be called ?. Any ideas girls !!! Today a finished a scrapbook proyect with my older son, we have to do and search a lot of information, lots of interviews, trips, drawing, it was fun but I'm glad is over too much mess in the house, getting the scrapbook ready, every time we decorated one page, is being raining here in Florida, today an old lady hit my car, when I was picking up my mom, she did not look at all when she reversed, and I was pressing the horn like crazy but she kept going, she agreed to pay for the damage, and ask me to please not call the police, even thought my husband said that it could of easily ended up being my fault, because I was in the back of her, but who could of though that some one hit the reverse without looking at all, I did not had time to react, I usually leave one car of space to give me a chance to react if something happen, but today I was not expecting her to go so far to do a reverse. Good night girls

I was at my son's for 2 days, babysat 5 year old granddaughter. I had too many carbs and now I crave them, so I am doing what is needed to battle that, I am reducing carb intake for a couple days until my brain resets. My DIL bought some gluten free pizza for me, and it was oh so good. But grain is grain, rich in carbs, and it triggered that addiction. At least I have the tools now to know and change it before sugar comes into play!!

Thank you for your kind words Yudelka and Ginna.

Yudelka, Glad to hear your little one is almost back to normal.

Asta, Great to hear that your hubby is handling the stress well and that soon you will have heat again.

Celeste, I don't have a 3 year old to chase and I get the days mixed up. You are doing great!

Ginna, There is a white board demo on the jw.org site regarding bullying. Thomas and I have watched it a few times together. Maybe the sister and her child can watch it and have practice sessions as to what he can say (or better, not say) and how to walk away and pray. Thomas keeps saying he wants to punch them in the face. I keep asking him how Jesus responded. I let him know that those feelings are not good, but that being human, it's understandable. I also remind him that even though the people that are supposed to be watching will only see his bad behavior and everyone knows he is a Witness. I pray with him so often and I hope he will start trusting Jehovah with his problems.

I am going to go do my workout and get ready for my massage! YAY!

Kudos to my husband...he has managed to keep us sufficiently warm and comfortable despite the very cold temps, the fan going out on the Buck Stove and the issues with plumbing. He suffers from depression but has been able to stay calm, not get upset about each issue or set back. Stress is the trigger, but so far, so good.

The part I ordered yesterday from the Buck Stove manufacturer was here by nine am this morning...and Hubby is working on getting it installed. Today the temps should get above freezing which will be welcome though it may not solve the plumbing issues any time soon. Everything will get worked out in due time. Happy today.

Celest, I was cracking up when I read your post. Trying to keep up with a 3 year old and boot camp...you go girl. You are a better woman than I.

Asta, I hope you got your heat back and are staying warm.

Cinamin, we have a sister in our hall whose boy is being bullied and she is having a tough time with getting him to go to school. It is so difficult for our young ones. They go through so much in school. A lot of pressure. You are doing a wonderful job with all of your boys. That was a blessing with the sister coming over to share her story with him.

Take care everyone,

Ginna

LOL...yes, today is Thursday. So easy to lose track of the days when your schedule is disrupted...and a 3 yr old suddenly back on the scene could easily throw your mental schedule off. I keep a calendar going all the time...and still manage to get days/weeks mixed up.

Hope your day is a good one.

I have managed to keep up with my reading, but fell a whole day behind in the week lol
The whole of Tuesday, I had Axel to watch, I told several people that I was going to the botanical gardens to let him play and I could sit at their tables and prepare my meeting for TOMORROW (our meeting is Tues evening). No one said a word about the fact that it WAS already "tomorrow". At 3.30pm I sent some photos to a sister on watsap who got baptized with her quadriplegic husband and she thanked me and ended her message with "see you tonight". "Tonight?" I asked, "do we have an arrangement that I have forgotten?" She replied..."at the meeting, you are going aren't you?"
LOL I lost a whole day. Fortunately, even though I was unprepared, I was able to have a meaningful share because one part was on magazine routes that become a bible study......and I currently have just that.
So...today is Thursday...right? LOL

Lyn, That is interesting about the mattress. It does make sense though. When I was pregnant with Thomas, we had to get a new mattress since I made a huge dent on my side. We bought a sleep number bed and it is really good. My husband goes between wanting a hard mattress and a soft one. So, he can set his side according to his needs and I can get my side the way I like it too.

It is almost 2 am here. I was ready for bed at 8 tonight but I sat in front of the TV and couldn't pull myself away. I have to get my workout done before 11 am so I can cool down and have a shower. I have a massage scheduled for 1 in the afternoon. I am really looking forward to that!

One of my good friends that moved back into our hall came over tonight. She works in an elementary school and I have been trying to tell Thomas how important it is to pray to Jehovah before saying anything to the bullies that are taunting him. She just started talking about it and explained it in a way that I hope Thomas could understand. It was basically the same thing I told him, but hearing it from another person other than mom just might help. She said that when she sees anything that upsets her, the first thing she does is pray. Then she told him how Jehovah was able to help her keep a calm heart and mild replies to those saying mean things. She said that if he makes it a habit now, it will help him through all the different phases in life.

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Good night!

I cannot believe it is the last couple days of January! It has been so bitterly cold, and I am really looking forward to things being closer to freezing. Brr.

I babysat my 5 1/2 year old granddaughter Monday and Tuesday and napped this morning when I got home. Even away at kindergarten for hours she is still exhausting to me. I did not overeat at the kid's house so that is a triumph.

Another weird thing about my weight loss. I need a new mattress. I have been having so much trouble at night, and someone told me that because I slept on it for years at 330 pounds it is shaped a certain way and now that I am 70 less it just isn't working for me anymore. Good reason to get a new bed! I hope to continue the loss over the next year so it doesn't get 'used to' this size. ;)

Yudelka, I hope your little one is better and that you are both able to catch up on your sleep.

Asta, I am so glad that you decided to stay safe. I hope the issues in your house are fixed today and you can sleep in warmth tonight.

Celeste, It sounds like you and Axel had a very busy day! Were you able to do your boot camp while Cole watched Axel? I think that's what you said. (right)

Ginna, Nice to see you!

Eric had the Bible reading last night and Jacob was interviewed on the second part of the KM. The other brother that was being interviewed is also tall. The brother "conducting" said that he would like the smallest brothers that are pioneering to come to the stage. The mic had to be raised a few inches after the first brother for Jacob. He is still growing!! He is 6 feet 5 inches. That is CRAZY! I was able to find some ties at Burlington that actually fit him. Most of the time, he wears his jacket and his tie is just long enough to stay tucked in. If he raises his arms too high, his tie looks like it belongs on a toddler.

The other day my dog ate a bee. It was the strangest thing. We have been very warm and I have a hibiscus tree. The bees love it. There was a bee that was getting water off the porch and the dog picked it up on the way inside. I didn't realize it at first, but she laid down right away and started licking like crazy. Then I found the bee. I watched her for 30 minutes to make sure she wasn't allergic. I don't know if dogs can even be allergic, but better safe than sorry.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Celeste', that must have been what I smelled when I was up here by the computer and suddenly noticed the HOT smell...kind of like a very hot burner on the stove. Investigated and couldn't find anything burning or heating up. LOL. I have to admit, I would rather have cold temps that I can cope with by enjoying hot tea or cocoa and can dress in many layers for...rather than heat and humidity that zap your energy and make you so uncomfortable...you can only take off so much clothing. I can run a fan at night, but mostly don't like it blowing directly ON me..esp if it makes the sheet flap in the breeze. Hubby, of course, wants that fan on HIGH and ON HIM. Well, no fans for us right now..not even the one for the Buck stove tonight!

Well, after one wild goose chase (dealer said he had the part, but it was not the right one!) the replacement part is ordered and should be here by 10:30 tomorrow morning. We have the kerosine heater in the family room and for now, the house is cool but that is not unusual for this very old house when the temps drop to deep cold. We also have some frozen pipes...not sure how we will fare with that, but we do still have water...just not in the kitchen and one bathroom. Temps will get above freezing around noon tomorrow...hope the warm up tomorrow and through the weekend will help keep things from freezing further and/or bursting pipes. Hubby is doing very well at coping without letting it cause major depressive issues..so far.

We have notified the sister that we usually pick up for mtg. that we won't be going tonight...we don't feel it is safe to leave the kerosine heater running unattended...and don't think it wise/safe to leave the house for 4 hrs with no heat in this cold. We are grateful neither of us have parts tonight and can listen in to hear the meeting.

I am SO happy for the bright sunshine today.

Hello everyone,

Asta, no heat that is rough. I hope your hubby gets it fixed soon. Try and stay warm. Do some jumping jacks...lol

Yudelka I am sorry to hear your daughter is sick. Both of you get lots of rest and hope your daughter is up and around soon,

We have been having another Arctic Blast, last night wind chills -20, the other night -30. I usually don't get affected by the cold temps, but I was really feeling it last night. I feel bad for all the ones that don't like the winter cold. Tomorrow it is supposed to get up to 27, that will feel like a real heat wave...lol. I am excited because that means I can go running. I haven't been able to run outside for 5 weeks due to the single digit temps.

Take care everyone and remember there are better days ahead.

Ginna

So sorry to hear you little one is sick Yudelka. Hope the fever is over with and she is on the mend now. Both of you will need rest after a night of kid illness.

Celeste, I am glad the Axel care went well. Hope he will settle into a happy routine. two hr nap is normal for a kiddo his age...sometimes even longer. emoticon They need that rest as does the caretaker!

Blower on our Buck Stove is not working this morning. 2 degrees F. this morning and that Buck Stove is our main source of heat. Hubby is not happy...guess we are going to have a chilly day inside.

Today I had to watch Axel all day. I did have help though lol. Initially Cole my younger son took him to feed the wild ducks at the dam where I did boot camp. After boot camp, we all went to the tea room (same place) and had breakfast (compliments of Cole) and let Axel play in the kiddies play area.
Went home, showered and changed, did some shopping and brought him home where he watched some kiddie cartoons while I did my bits of housework. When I came to give him lunch, he was FAST asleep on the couch and slept for 2 solid hours which gave me time to prepare my watchtower. When he wakes.....we will go for a walk....I'll walk while he rides his scooter. His daddy should be home within an hour and he will be a happy little boy.
He only asked after daddy twice and accepted the simple explanation that daddy was working. He really is a good little kid to babysit.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

I try to give a compliment to an Elder at each meeting. I know when someone says that I am doing a good job at anything, It makes me want to continue on the right path. I need to widen out with the Elders wives. I know that they are also making a huge sacrifice for the benefit of the cong as well.

Celeste, I hope Axel is able to enjoy his day with you with no tears. Maybe when he nods off to nap you can sneak one in too.

I was up until 3:30 this morning getting all the things ready for Jeff to be able to go to work without having to get up at 6 am to get it all done. I am so exhausted and I have meeting tonight. I am going to try to sneak in a nap before I have to get Thomas from school. I have SO much to do today. I had better get at it.

Have a great day everyone!

I've said this before many times....I dont think I would be an elder even if I were a man. Much as I love Jehovah, my brothers/sisters etc I also feel that its a H.U.G.E. responsibility and I'd be terrified I could not do that job to satisfaction....but the non-emotional side of me says that Jehovah qualifies us, Jehovah gives us what we need, especially if we are in service to him....so maybe I would have reached out. I try not to have issues over much to lighten their load, but definitely call on them when I need to because they are Jehovah's provision for me, one I am eternally grateful for.

Spent the morning with my grandson at McDonalds. Yikes, climbing into, onto, under, through the Ronald McDonald play area is like boot camp no2. Axel managed an hour nap but I didn't... emoticon
Today was a test run for tomorrow. Tomorrow my son starts his job and Axel will spend the whole school day with me. Today went well, no tears or anything which is a first. The last time Daniel tried to go to the local shop without Axel there were major tears...heart wrenching sobs. It totally broke my heart. Hes come a long way in 2 short weeks.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

That is good information Cini-mini. I am an independent person by nature so I try to handle everything on my own and when I went through all of that stuff with taking care of my parents I didn't go to the elders for help. I should have and they would have been a great source of encouragement to me and my family. I have this mind set that I don't want to bother them, but I know that is just my issue. Thank you for the reminder!

We are so blessed to have our Elders.

While balancing home responsibilities with congregational responsibilities can become very hectic in an Elders life, LOVE should be the motivating factor that creates stability, Love for Jehovah; Love for his word of truth; Love for and faith in the ultimate display of forgiveness in the act of the ransom of his firstborn Jesus; Love for the flock; Love for the lost sheep (which includes all wayward humanity)
If most Elders are like myself, they would have had thought of relinquishing this privilege several times over, due to self perceived inadequacies, but it is Love in it's many forms as stated above that motivates them to continue to serve.

The Wt lesson was amazing! I love all the great info we are getting. One of our Elders reminded us that they aren't mind readers and when we need help, we need to make them aware of it. Good reminder! When we are going about our lives, sometimes we think they should just know what's going on. They have their own lives along with caring for us.

Celeste, I hope you are feeling better.

All those in the colder climates, be careful!

Hugs to all of you.

Celest, sorry to hear you got sick on the pie. No sweets for you in the near future I'm sure..lol.

We are having a snow storm here in Michigan so our service got cancelled. The state police are advising everyone stay off the roads today. I will probably be a bad girl and go out anyway. I have to get some things at Sam's Club for my job. I didn't go out yesterday because of the weather, I can't put it off. I will be careful though.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Well Im not so sure about junk food tasting great emoticon (this is meant to be a lemon meringue) My sister and I decided to go out and have a private celebrating...my kids all at the assembly and Nikki studying and her kids invitation to Bethel service. We decided to - for once - go wild and order a lemon meringue to SHARE. The sweet waitress, on finding only 2 slices left, decided to spoil her regular clients with a slice each. Her regular clients (us) proved that we had learned NOTHING over the past year and set to devouring the slices of sweet cake. My oh my oh my oh my did we suffer. We had a bad case of diarrhea and nausea the REST OF THE DAY.
Well lesson learned for me....NO MORE CAKE. I've had such a good run for 8 months. LOL

Yudelka, I WILL join you on the challenge of not cheating today. I have been cheating terribly lately. Instead of eating food, I am filling up on junk.

Since my tummy started hurting last Sunday, I have only done one workout. I did a bunch of yard work yesterday and I am going to do my workout today and clean the pool. I have gained 5 pounds back! GRRR. I know it's my own fault but I am going to get those 5 off with at least 15 more. The best way to do it is stay on track with my eating and working out. I know the "secret", but it's so hard when bad food tastes so good. lol

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Aw I read your post too late. Today my sister and I SHARED a lemon meringue and we both got so SICK. Neither of us has eaten stuff like that in months....that'll teach us.

I heard the cutest thing today. My kids and 3 yr old grandson I went to the botanical gardens coffee shop and just sat there having coffee while Axel played with other children there. In time, the other kids left and Axel got a book out of their little collection meant for folks to sit and read while enjoying being there. He put this childrens bible on his knee and started his usual flipping pages and saying"Jehovah help daddy"....."Jehovah help Cole"...."Jehovah help granny"...."Jehovah help Axel" and then he looks up, turned a page and said "Jehovah dont help Nikki!"
I was utterly perplexed and Nikki said "Hey, that's not fair Axel....Nikki isn't a Jehovah's Witness, but Nikki is going to study." He looked at her and said "No, Jehovah not help you cos Nikki grabbed Axel leg and made him fall." hahahaha just goes to show whats on her mind. But for me, it was good to hear her reiterate that she IS going to study.

That was the first thing I checked this morning! Praise Jehovah!!!!

The dog is better, she is back to her jumpy self. lol

I stayed in bed til a little after noon. I had to get Jeff up at 3 to go to Arizona to work, then at 7:30 to wake Thomas up and again at 8:30 to take him to school. A few more interruptions with the phone, but I was able to get right back to sleep. I really needed it. I feel SO much better.

I have a lot of orders to get out so I had better get at it!

January 22, 2014 UPDATE: Jehovah’s Witnesses won a major court victory today when an appellate court reversed an earlier ruling by a lower court that banned jw.org, the official website of Jehovah’s Witnesses, throughout Russia. The Regional Court of Tver conducted a new trial, which concluded that the decision of the Tsentralniy District Court on August 7, 2013, was unjustified, since there was no legal reason to ban the site. “Witnesses around the world are rejoicing at this victory,” states J. R. Brown, a spokesman at the Witnesses’ world headquarters. “Thanks to this legal victory, all citizens of Russia will continue to have access to this excellent Bible-education website.”

Celeste, That is such fantastic news! I am so happy that she needs answers and you are able to show her from the Bible. Good news about Daniel too.

Lyn, emoticon on the weight loss!!! Great job!

My belly is better. I am not sure if it's a stomach bug going around. I have heard from many others that they have been having issues too. Even my little dog has something going on with her tummy. She is normally jumping up and down and now she is just laying around. When Jeff went to pick her up, she yelped.

I took her for a walk and she seemed fine. No limping and she was in a hurry, not lagging at all. I hope it passes. If she is still like this tomorrow, I will have her checked out at the vet.

We had a great meeting tonight. I am off to bed.

Celest, that is so similar, I was searching for God since I was 9 years old. I can't tell you how excited I am for her, she will be so thrilled when she learns the truth. It will be an eye opener to her. I have high hopes too!

I remember smiling from ear to ear when something that I had wondered about for so many years was answered and it was coming right from the Bible. That is what impressed me so much. When I went to church, I didn't even bring my Bible. I went to a meeting first before I studied and I was so impressed by how many Scriptures were read during the meeting. I remember thinking this is the truth, I finally found it. I started my study the next week.

Happy for your son too!

You are right Ginna, she says she's had questions since she was a little girl of 10. Her first question was to ask her father why she was sent to sunday school and they never went to church. He scolded her with a foul mouth telling her to basically shut up and do as she was told. Since then, every church, youth group etc she has been to, has left her unsatisfied. When she lived in a separate town to me, I emailed her once and told her to go onto JW.org and she says she got more answers there than anywhere else....and whats more, it had a ring of truth. I have high hopes for her.

Another piece of really exciting news on our home front is that my son Daniel got a job today. He is drummer (djembe drum or African drum) and he was phoned by a middle school asking if he was able to teach 9-14 students for the year. The salary for once a week, is a bit more money than when he slaved away in a little pub for 6 days a week...long hours. He is so excited, because additional to that, he has found something he can do at home for the balance of the week. So, its all coming together finally for him.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Yes it is so important that our brothers and sisters in Russia have access to the website. Have been praying fervently for them.

Lyn, that is awesome on your weight loss, congratulations!

Celest, how heartwarming about your son's girlfriend. It sounds like she has many questions that need to be answered. I was in Christendom before coming into the truth and I had went to my pastor and could never get the answers that I needed. I was so happy when I started to get the answers I had been looking for. It is so exciting that she agreed to a study.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

It is a constant back and forth for so many of our brothers in some countries, it must be so hard. But I have been told that they pray for us more eagerly than we pray for them, because their enemies are in their face, and many of ours are behind our backs sneaking up on us. I surely do hope they do not lose that wonderful gift of the website. What a joyful thing we have from the organization.

My weigh in was great, I have lost a total of 24 pounds since Nov 10. That is about 2 pounds a week, but in reality it has been more like a pound and a half a week except for the first month. I see my doctor in 2 weeks and she will be pleased. I sure am. I am 3 pounds away from where I was last May, and then my weight loss will be new loss, into new numbers! I am determined to keep eating healthy and never have that horrible belly pain again. It is quite the motivator.

I read that, its utterly heart breaking. Lets hope Jehovah hears all our appeals. The rulers will answer to Jehovah for all they have done.

Good news is that my younger sons girlfriend came to the assembly. She saw an talk by 2 sisters on why a the "study" could not keep her gold cross in light of it being an expensive gift from her late mother. Today I woke up feeling too sick to walk in the blazing son, so I took the opportunity to pop into her house and find out how she enjoyed the assembly. She asked how we know the cross was not a cross. I had my reasoning book with me, so we used that and her bible to show her. I also showed her the script that says we must worship in spirit and TRUTH. 2.5hrs later I offered her a study and she's accepted. I am SO delighted. She starts a brand new job on Monday, so she will get back to me whether she studies one evening, or comes to the meeting on a Sunday and studies straight after that.
She reads the magazines I give her each month from cover to cover and says she has many questions. She first went to her old minister with her questions, but he told her she's just a child and has no right to question things. She was NOT happy because at 20 she is NOT a child. I explained to her that Jesus was preaching at the age of 12, any questions he had of his father, would not have been met with...go away, you're just a child. She agreed. We will see how things progress from here.

Hello brothers and sisters we need to pray for our Russian brothers, did you read today's news at jw.org. Russian officials seek to ban jw.org. The Appeal from Our brothers is tomorrow, if denied website will not longer be available for the 160,000 Jehovah 's witness in Russia. And promoting the web site will be a criminal act in Russia

Yudelka, Thank you. I hope you had a great day today!

Celeste, I agree with you 100% about how thankful I am the brothers in charge of the flock work and still are prepared for meetings and parts they have. I work from home and I have to find the time somehow. It's not easy when everyone is loud when I have time.

WWrefugi, Great job on staying on track! Can't wait to hear about your progress!

Hello to anyone I missed!

I went to the doctor today about my tummy. He wants me to get an ultrasound on my right side. He thinks it might be ovary or kidney related. My lower back doesn't hurt so that almost rules out my kidney. I don't have insurance so I am thinking about calling a local school that would like a patient to practice on. That is what I did to find out when I was pregnant what I was having. They only charged $30.00.

Jeff was out of town at my 20th week and I couldn't wait to find out so I went without him. Then, when he got back, we found a place closer to us that only charged $25.00 and they even put it on tape for us. They asked if they could check him out and they won't charge us for my ultrasound. They had finals coming up and they wanted to see if they could locate everything and give a proper diagnosis. He was given an "all clear" on all his vital organs. It's so cool how they can see so much!

I have errands to do and I need to go lay down.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hello all. About to get some snow here near Boston. Ready to hold down the fort with Bible reading and Draw Close to Jehovah book. So hard to stop reading when I'm supposed to! I did find my heart touched by the scripture where Jehovah felt hurt at heart. That just made me so sad to think of our Creator hurt at heart.

Doing well with my eating and I look forward to weigh in tomorrow. :)

The will to conquer is the first condition of victory.

You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage to say no to other things. The way to do this is to have a bigger 'yes' burning inside.

Loads to prepare for tonight's meeting....but got it all done. I have such respect for working parents who have to get through the same schedule I do who has the day to do it in. Hats off to the secular working brothers and sisters who do "just so".
I loved that point at the assembly....Noah did just so! His just so was building an ark that would withstand an onslaught of flood waters. What is our ark? Preaching. So, are we preaching in such a way that we are not leaving gaps for the flood waters to seep in? Obviously we have limitations and situations....and only we know if we are doing Just So with regard to our preaching work.

Celeste, I love the way all the assemblies show us how to put the lesson to good use. All the demonstrations and practical value being shown makes it easier for all of us to pay attention and get it into our hearts since we can actually SEE how to make the lesson valuable in our own lives. Good to hear your entire family came.

I have been sick for the last few days. My tummy trouble has started again. I have been eating really well and my digestive system is not working like it should be. It seems I have to have a really greasy hamburger to get things moving even though I make sure I have healthy fats at least in two meals each day. I don't like turning to junk food to make my body work, but I know that is what my body needs to get things moving correctly.

So far in 6 weeks I have lost 17 pounds and my muscles are much more defined. Muscle weighs more than fat. My clothes are fitting much nicer too.

I am going to go lay down. It's just after 5 here. I will probably be down for the night.
Hugs to all of you!
