Celeste', have you tried oil pulling? When DH finally tried it, it cleared things up pretty quickly. We were very surprised.

I agree with your sentiments Asta about bringing kids into this old system but also not pressurizing my kids one way or the other. I have one son who flatly refuses to have kids in this system (girlfriends get warned very early in the relationship) and then I have one who had a child. And we know that it IS going to be tough.

I finally found an email address to contact sparks by, and ask for help, so now I wait and see what their suggestion is. I belong to the NOW generation lol....I dont want to get my team notifications the long rout....I want it NOW. sigh.

Im into my 2nd week of flu symptoms and hating every single day of being achy and miserable. Im not a good sick person. I get frustrated and miss my active lifestyle emoticon

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Ginna, The P90X scared me. It looks SO hard. Enjoy your weekend!

Asta, Even though I haven't met you face to face, I can guarantee you that you are a fantastic Mom and Grandma. When I found out I was pregnant with Thomas, I was terrified because of that scripture. I am so thankful that he is almost 11.

We got SO much rain and it's not over. Our pool is almost over flowing. We really needed the rain. According to the forecasters, we might have rain all the way through Monday morning. They said we could get 3/4 of what we normally get in a year just in this storm! Hopefully we will catch up and get out of the major drought.

Have a great weekend!

Gina, I will NEVER be the good grandma that I dreamed of being..same as my days of parenting. lol. Trouble is, when you ARE available (even if you don't want to be), how can I say no to a work need? I don't do social function babysitting..and made that clear early on. (when we moved back from St. Croix, first full day back, son asked me to babysit a child who didn't know me at all (she was 3) so HE could go fishing. emoticon I told him NO WAY. The youngest of the five is now four...and they are old enough now to do for themselves more, and that does make it easier...though I also have to pay attention to what they are getting into in a different way from when they were in drawers and cabinets!

I tried to never influence my kids one way or the other regarding having children. I have friends whose parents badger them for grandchildren (which would bring kids into some not kid friendly situations!!). Not me. I was reminded by the folks who studied with us of Jesus' warning to pregnant women and those nursing babies when this system ends...and that was nearly 40 yrs ago...and we still had four kids. I am glad my gang are all grown.

Cinamin, that sounds like a great workout. Sounds intense, but also not too long. I was doing P90X a while back and if I remember right each DVD was about an hour long. By the time I was done, I was tuckered out. Keep up the great work!

Asta. that is so funny! I was just telling my husband today that I hope my daughter decides not to have kids in this system. As much as I love kids, I don't want to take care of grandchildren. I am way too busy. I hardly ever take my great, great niece anymore. She is 5 and adorable, but she is a handful. You are a good grandma!

You all have a great weekend!

It figures.
DIL has been substituting at her boys' elementary school. Older child (10 yo.) has been exhibiting all the stress signals of someone being bullied..but he claims he is not. They have narrowed things down to when he is entering one particular class....now parents have decided to pull him out and home school. Next I hear Mom is going to FL to work with/for her parents for a week and will take Dylan with her, but that means Dawson..in K. will need ride to school and pickup so it appears I am on call yet again. How is it I raised my four with NO help..and my kids ALL need help??? I am going to need a secretary to keep track of which of the five I have to pickup or deliver or entertain etc. on any given day.

Much as I love them all.........I'd rather be quilting. lol

WWREFUGI, Good for you! Way to go on your success!!!! I hope your pain subsides soon!

Ginna, Sorry about winter dragging on for you. I am hoping that if I am able to come in April that there will be nice weather. I am really hoping that summer doesn't come so soon. I can't stand the high humidity. (I am kind of hoping for snow, but I won't be disappointed if there isn't any)

Anna, We are getting sprinkles right now. We are supposed to get a REAL rain tonight and most of the weekend. They were talking about 5 feet of new snow for our mountains! Awesome!!! We need it so bad!

Asta, It's nice to see you!

The sister that I went to see died yesterday morning. I don't know how her husband is doing. I don't want to call because I know that there are so many that are calling and the daughter just lost her mom and her dad doesn't want to go on without her. On Tuesday night at the meeting it was announced that only phone calls, no more visitors. I am glad I was able to go while I could. I was able to let her know that I love her and am looking forward to seeing her in Paradise.

I am trying the T25 from the same company as Insanity. I have to load it on my computer and once I get to the garage I can play it. I finally was able to do one workout on it. It has the same style as Insanity, just the workouts are only 25 minutes. There is a different workout each day. Saturday will be my off day and on Sunday, I stretch using the video. My friend downloaded it for me so I can do it off my computer. He didn't put all the workouts in there so I did next months workout using weights last night. It was a really good workout. It moves really fast so by the time I get the routine, he changes it. I know I will get used to it the more I do it.
Have a great day!

Hi to everyone else and hope everything is going well. Not much to report here. Waiting for winter to be over. It is my favorite season, but I have had enough and I feel bad for those who are having a rough time because of this brutal winter.

Take care,

Ginna

Very proud, I have finally gotten into the 250s. Unseen since the late 1990s. It feels so wonderful. The flare of pain continues to worsen rather than improve, but my bipolar swing has started to go in the other direction finally. Now if only the weather would moderate! It will struggle to see the 20s here, and it has been a long, bitter winter. Temp wise, the worst in a long time in duration. I cannot remember a winter where so many mornings were in the single digits. Snow again Monday. I am winter weary! Meeting tonight but the foggy brain has not let me study like I am used to. I hope I can go tonight, despite pain and weak legs.

But I sure am happy about that 258!

I have been absent but still on track with eating. I am bipolar and some days are just hard to think, then others I think great. I have been on a downswing but bipolar does that... swings. Worse than that, I am having a horrific fibromyalgia flare for 9 days now. Too hard to explain but extreme pain all the time. I think the fibro is messing with my bipolar. I hope you are all doing well. Keep on track!

Further updates on accident. Gloria Johnson will have 2nd hip replacement this week...replacing the half replacement job they did last Tues....which is not workable because of the broken femur first hospital reported but 2nd hospital apparently ignored. Care wreck and TWO hip replacements on the same hip in a week's time is pretty hard on the body I would think.

Debby is having surgery on her face tomorrow to repair the bone damage around her eye. I think everyone else is now home.

I went to a visitation for a friend/sister's husband last Friday and met an elder/pioneer couple from the congregation in whose territory Stacey is now living. In the conversation the accident came up. The Br. told us that they had been contacted by Bethel about how to handle responses if they are questioned about the accident. I was very surprised to hear that but apparently Bethel advised ALL local cong. since this info was on the news broadcasts last week..and in the newspapers. Focus of our responses is to be on supporting those injured and their families. Not discussing the ministry etc. or the guy that caused the accident.

Asta, Thank you for the update on the accident. I am happy that they will all recover.

Anna, My neighbor came over with a hula hoe and I have never seen something so easy! I loved it so much that I got one the same day. WAY easier. We have rocks on the front part of the property and even though we sprayed and tried to kill any and all weeds, they still pop up occasionally. I need to water the queen palms in the front, but I am scared the weeds will grow when I do. We even have black weed resister under the rocks. At least we aren't getting any gophers popping up where the rocks are. They have a hay day in my back yard though!

I did end up doing the workout. (YAY)

I went to Target and bought some shirts. I always have to get XXL to fit me. I don't like trying things on at the store so I brought them home and they were all WAY too big! I took them back and got large on the t-shirts and medium on the tank tops. I wear tank tops under a light sweater for the meetings since I get hot so easily.

Anna, I have heard that spraying weeds with vinegar will kill them. Might be easier on your hands if it works. Try googling it to see what to do...can't remember whether they say to dilute it or not. Will try to remember to check.

emoticon Hi everyone. Absolutely GORGEOUS day here today after wild storms last night.

Just home from a visitation for the husband of an inactive sister. Sure hope his unexpected death will motivate her to get back on spiritual track again. I love this sister so much..and her family. I am sorry that htey have lost Keith...but he now has the resurrection hope for sure. Youngest son is around 13...oldest son and wife have a 4 mo. old baby. Keith will be so very missed. The family had recently moved..now an hr drive from me, so I can't really drop by or bring car groups by...so we contacted the local elders. To my delight, one I had contacted showed up with his wife..both are reg. pioneers. Another had already been by to meet her at home.

Update on the car accident from last Monday. Maria had surgery on her ankle (severe break..she was the driver) and I heard she was going home yesterday. Debbie O. is home. She was in the 3rd row seat and the least injured of the six. Gloria had hip replacement surgery Tuesday...and Wed, they discovered she also has a broken femur (how did they miss that?) She is doing well. Ruth Anne is home. Montoya is home. Debby D. is still in intensive care..but not the ER one. Her heart stopped beating once or more during Mon night/Tues...but is now regulated and doing well. She will be having facial reconstruction surgery next Tues...2-3 hr surgery to repair the bone around one eye. Several of the sisters have other facial damage and broken ribs. All will live and recover. We thank Jehovah for our loving brotherhood and the many prayers raised in behalf of these sisters. I thank all of YOU who have prayed for them also. emoticon

Very inspiring story Celeste.

I am so sore from yard work (weeding with a hula hoe). There are a lot of weeds on this property. I put in over 3 hours of it yesterday. Weeds irratate me so badly that when I lived at the other house I would literally sit on lawn and pull out crabgrass and other annoying weeds with my hands. That's what you do when you don't have money for weed and feed and you want a nice looking lawn.

Over here at my new place there's no lawn. It's all plants, bushes and fruit trees. Since I donít pay rent the least I could do is keep up the weeding. There are a lot of weeds right now because I barely found the hula hoe. Otherwise I would have started on them a long time ago with all the spring weather we have been having.

Celeste, That is WONDERFUL that they get to stay. Even though they are being reassigned. They have so much love for Jehovah to wait to get married to make sure they can stay at Bethel.

I am happy that even though your Mom was "difficult" the brother stayed steady to teach her. He must have known that Jehovah was drawing her in and had the patience to do so. Wonderful story!

I am trying to decide whether I am going to do my workout today or not. Every time I get a massage, I am wiped out the next day. I drink almost a gallon of water to get all the toxins they massaged out. Tomorrow, I will be back at my workout though! (still not decided on today)

We did yard work yesterday. the "we" were Jacob, Thomas and I.

I made a new rule that if they don't make their bed in the morning, they will get an extra chore to do. Yesterday, Jacob didn't make his bed so I assigned him to mow most of the property. Thomas and I picked up all the limons (it's a hybrid of lemon and limes). They are SO BIG! I trimmed under the tree so when Jacob was mowing he wouldn't get cut to pieces from the thorns. We also have a peach tree that died last year. It tipped over. We were able to get most of the little branches off and we pushed the tree down to an area where we can cut it into smaller pieces and throw it away little by little.

Jacob needs to mow three more areas and the yard work will be done for the week.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Celest, that is awesome both about your nephew and your sister meeting the brother who studied with your mother. Jehovah used him to help your mother and because of your mother's good example you and all of your family accepted the truth. That's is so wonderful. I love hearing stories like that. So inspiring.

You all have a great weekend!

My nephew who has been in Bethel for 7 yrs is getting married. His fiance has also been in Bethel for 6 yrs. I discovered for the first time, that you no longer automatically get to stay after you wed. You have to reapply to your Bethel branch and then it goes to Brooklyn Bethel. These two young people (27 and 30) have been on waiting rather nervously for the answer which came today....they may, but are being reassigned to construction. This means they could be sent anywhere...a lovely start to a new marriage and lovely because with this change means no more night shift for Devon. Awesome.
My sister is up at our Bethel branch at the moment and met the old brother that brought my mom into the truth. He is STILL there and STILL ALIVE AND WELL. Wow, he was so delighted to hear that my mom (a truly difficult study) was still in the truth all these years later and that her kids and grand kids and great grand child are still in the truth.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Anna, I will have to watch that movie. It sounds like a good one. Sometimes a good cry is good. We had lost our dog in November 2009. He was old and after he was running the neighborhood, he was acting strange. I don't know what killed him, whether it was poison or a heart problem. He was breathing really heavy. We watched "Marley and Me" and ALL of us were crying. It had been about 1 year since he died. I didn't know about the ending. Way too sad!

I was able to get a massage today. She said that she can really feel my muscle definition. YAY! I have been trying to go at least 2 times a month. I NEED to go. It's the one thing I can really enjoy and it helps me stick with good eating and my workouts.

I hope all of you are staying safe!
Sending hugs and love to you all.

Cinamin, that is so sad.I am sorry for the daughter, she is going through a very rough time right now. She will be in my prayers.

There was a couple here in a car accident the other day, they were in their late 80's and had been married for 64 years. They both died in that car accident and I thought, though it was heart wrenching and the family must have been devastated, it was probably for the best they went at the same time. I had to watch my dad grieve so hard for my mother, he just couldn't be without her. It was so hard to see him like that. My sister and I had the hardest time grieving for my mother, but then to see my dad so sad made it way more difficult. They are both resting in peace now and in no more pain, so that is a comfort. I will wait to see them again soon.

So happy we have such a beautiful hope for the future.

Have a great day everyone!

That kind of love brings tears to my eyes. That type of love reminds me of an older movie called "where the red fern grows". it's about this young boy who saves and saves to buy himself 2 hunting dogs. He finally gets them and after they are grown abit and has already taught them to hunt. One day while they are out on hunting trip they are attacked by a mountain lion or a cougar and the dogs battle it to protect the boy. Long and short is one of the dogs is injured pretty bad and ends up dying. The surviving dogs is so sad about losing his dog partner that it refuses to eat and ends up dying shortly thereafter too. They bury the dogs side by side in 2 separate graves. Soon thereafter the family has to pick up and move and as they are leaving they notice that a beautiful red fern has grown in between the 2 graves.

No matter how many times I have watched it.. I cry.. The love they shared was beautiful and it really touches the heart. And then when you here about something like that happening between a husband and wife.... soooo touching. Okkkkkk. Im crying now just thinking about the love our brother and sister share. Awesome. ?

Our chiro moved to another office and changed his hours. He is only available Tuesdays and Thursdays. Jeff didn't feel like he needed to go. Jacob seems fine too. I will offer to take him tomorrow after service. Jeff and Eric are gone until Friday night.

I went to see the Sister. It was heartbreaking. She didn't open her eyes at all. I didn't know what to say or do so I just put my hand over hers and told her how much I love her and how I am really looking forward to seeing her in Paradise without all the pain and sickness. Her husband will be 95 this year and he is an Elder in our hall. He is having a very hard time with his wife being so sick. She isn't able to eat or drink much and the doctor said to make sure she is comfortable.

Their daughter lives with them. She hasn't left home. She has been their "caregiver" for quite a while. She is an only child. Her Dad is refusing to eat as well. He has always said he can't see himself without her. There won't be a memorial for either one of them.

I am beyond tired so I am off to bed.
Sweet dreams!

Some good news here and some bad news. Hugs to all those needing it. My sister (also my best friend) is away at the moment, has been for 2 weeks already and I miss her. I've got my kids, and my grandson keeping me busy, but my sister and I share everything...stuff I wouldnt even share with my sons (men) so.....its time for to GET BACK now emoticon . I think her hubby feels the same way. Week 1 was fun in the house alone, watching loads of TV, eating when and what he wanted, but by week 2 the fun element has evaporated. emoticon

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Our prayers are being heard for our dear sisters. Continue to pray for their full recovery. Pray daily and often to Jehovah the the God of all comfort and strength in all our daily needs. Hope everyone here draws from Jehovah's spirit as we encounter the various trials Satan and his system throw at us.

emoticon CINA-MINI on inches lost.

The last few days I have been working on the weeds over here. It is definitely a workout chore. I am not too sore yet.. but if I keep at it I am sure it will come.

So sorry to hear about your family being in an accident too. I agree with doing the chiropractor thing. They can do wonders with the body.

I had heard everyone was off the critical list, but apparently that is not so. Debby is the one sister from my congregation who was in this accident.

The white SUV that is pictured upside down is the vehicle our sisters were riding in.

Oh Cinamin! I am so sorry to hear of this. I would venture to bet that both of your guys will be dealing with whiplash. I highly recommend you get them to chiropractor, promptly. Ins. MAY cover those visits. I was rear ended some yrs ago...and it took a little while for the ache to really set in, but the chiro care really helped. I followed the recommendations...X wks going 3 times a week, X weeks twice a week and X weeks going once a week...then my Reg. Dr. told me to go back for 4 (or was it 6?) MORE weeks. Treating whip lash now will help prevent whiplash issues cropping up yrs later.

Cinamin, congrats on the inches lost. I know you have worked hard towards that goal~!

Re: our six sisters. maria (driver..age 18) had surgery on her broken ankle yesterday evening. She told a friend that she would probably be in hospital a few more days. Debbie O. is home...broken ribs, Jaw and teeth (that last according to my son last night...I am not sure). Debby D. is still in Vanderbilt and news we heard as of noon was that her heart stopped several times last night, so she may be needing a pacemaker(?..my hubby wasn't sure of the device/surgery). Ruth Anne was sent to Vanderbilt last night for evaluation, but I heard she went home this morning. Montoya is home..I have not heard what injuries she may have had. Elaine had hip damage and had hip replacement surgery today. I've kind of lost track of who had facial trauma, broken ribs etc. I heard also that there was a lot of support immediately at all the hospitals involved. This car group carried FOUR regular pioneers! Other driver was 53 yr old male (caused the accident passing on double yellow line)...and had been drinking. He was pronounced dead at the scene. All in all, recovery will be long for all the sisters, but all should recover. Prayers welcome and appreciated.

Jeff and Jacob were in a car accident yesterday too. They were at a stop light and someone ran into the back of the car at about 20 miles an hour. Jeff drives a rental car and he had just swapped it out. I spent almost 40 minutes detailing it. He went to LAX (Los Angeles airport) and swapped it out. We use our American Express card and we pay the $15.99 per month for the added insurance so we don't have to use our insurance for our personal vehicle on the rental. After the accident, both Jacob and Jeff had a bad headache.

Jeff didn't make most of his appointments scheduled for yesterday and now he has to push them off until next week.

On a different note, I have lost an inch around my waist, hips and around the top of each leg.(that's 4 inches!) I also lost 1/2 an inch on both biceps. The last time I did my measurements was Feb 1st. I started the middle week of the "Insanity" workout and I forgot how much fun it is. I really enjoyed it! It was still hard, but I wasn't dying afterwards. Then, I did 2 1/2 hours of yard work. Shoveling stubborn weeds off the drive way. My arms are pretty sore, but I am going to do the workout again today. For this week, it's the same workout every day. Thomas will join me today.

Ginna, I am planning on coming out in April. Not sure of the exact date yet. I really wanted to go to Mackinac Island but it's too far from my parents and even further from my sisters house. I haven't been there since I was in second grade. I will just have to wait until I have more time to visit to go. I wanted to stay on the island over night. Oh well!

Thank you all for the support regarding my Mom.

Have a great day everyone!

Although losing our loved ones is difficult and saddening and we would never want to wish death upon any of our brothers/sisters, we can still rejoice in the fact that we have the resurrection to look forward to. And as much as we want Jehovahís kingdom here on earth (asap) as it is in heaven we can have reason for further rejoicing in the fact that Jehovah is allowing as many as possible to either return back to him or for the many others that are lost in false religion to learn the truth and dedicate their lives to him. Sunday watchtower was making us aware that there is still much work to be done. It mentioned that 6,400 kingdom halls still need to be built.

Jehovah is truly loving and merciful.

With that being said I pray for all our friends that our going through tribulations right now to have the best recovery possible. Let us all make Jehovah our stronghold.

I am so sorry to hear about those sisters. I will keep them in my prayers. Makes you realize the end of this system could come for us at anytime. We must always keep our relationship with Jehovah strong.

We've had a lot of bad news at my congregation lately too. 4 of us have lost our fathers (one father-in-law but sister viewed him as a father) in the last 4 months and another friend lost his mother. Really tired of attending funerals. I feel like Habakkuk sometimes, 'how much longer'? But I know the end will come at the perfect time because it is Jehovah who decides when. I just have to be patient. (boy is that hard!) emoticon

I kept dreaming about these sisters last night... replacing them in my dreams with local sisters and waking up worried for them; plus interspersing real memories of my son's crash... not a good night.

Asta, when you know more could you please post updates? emoticon

That is horrific Asta. Our poor sisters.....every day we survive this old system is a day to be grateful for....and another day to keep asking Jehovah for protection, even though we realize that he doesnt give "divine protection" automatically to all. I really hope our sisters come out of this relatively ok. There will probably be health issues that occur after it all, I'm hoping they will be minimized.

So sorry to hear about your mom Cinamin, it will be nice for you to visit and see your family! Hope she is feeling better. If you are coming soon you will get to see the beautiful snow. We got hit with about 7 to 8 inches today and it is still falling.

Asta, that is terrible news about the accident, I will be praying for the sisters and their families and hope they all make a full recovery.

Take care everyone! Be safe.

It's a double yellow line where the crash occurred. I have heard everyone was hurt, but none are still considered critical. Hope that is correct. ; Photos of the car the sisters were is makes you wonder how ANY survived. They were trapped in the car after impact, hanging upside down by the seat belts according to a first on the scene neighbor who saw the crash.

My goodness what saddening news. Just serves as a reminder that you just never know when something like this is going to hit close to home. I surely be praying and thinking of everyone that was mentioned here today.

The public talk we had yesterday ties in well with the tribulations that are being shared here today. Let Jehovah be your stronghold.

More info...it was SIX sisters in an SUV. In the photos (see link) the car upside down by the phone pole is the one our sisters were riding in. News is trickling in (on FB). Maria has a broken foot and will be having surgery in Murfreesboro. Ruth Anne is en route from M'boro to Vanderbilt to be assessed for possible brain swelling. Debby D. is apparently now stable, but not out of danger. Debbie O...I have heard different things..my son heard she had a broken jaw and broken ribs..but I don't know. Gloria went to Summit hospital..I don't know condition. Montoya...Can't remember her condition either. www.wkrn.com/story/24744320/old-nash

I hope you get to visit both our sister and your Mom, Cinamin.

I had a full day of child care and helping with a moving project...but then bad news came through: Our sisters need prayers. I got a phone call around 1:30 pm...apparently an afternoon service group of four was hit head-on on a narrow road. Their car went in the ditch and flipped at least once. I don't know much by way of details, but Hubby (who spoke with one of our elders who was en route to the hospital) said three life flight helicopters were brought in. One sister..the only one from my cong. was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital. I don't know who the other two were for but I heard they all went to different hospitals.. The driver of the other car died. I know three of the sisters very well...long time friends. PLEASE pray for them. I will post more when I know more.

My Mom had another stroke last week. She asked to go to the hospital. She NEVER wants to go, so she must have been in a lot of pain. She had a migraine that made her dizzy and she felt like she was going to throw up. Thankfully, my Dad was able to drive her instead of going in an ambulance. They kept her for 2 days and have upped her blood thinning meds.

Jeff has decided that I should go back for a visit. I really want to, so I was thrilled that it was "his idea".

Yesterday at the meeting there was an announcement at the end of the WT that if we want to see a certain Sister, we should do so right away. When he said her name, I held my breath. I was afraid that she had already passed. She hasn't been able to attend meetings in over 4 years. Jacob's pioneer partner said that she looks really bad. They don't know how much longer she will live. When I try to visit, I am scared that she might be sleeping. She has asked her husband and her daughter to not hold a memorial for her.

That's an awful lot for a Monday! I hope everyone else has a great day!

Yes the service meeting was great! I appreciated that part about writing things down in detail too. I am guilty of grabbing a receipt out of my console and writing info on there because I forgot my call book.

Toward the end of that part, the Br. conducting asked how we know that these things work. I don't think he expected my answer of: "Those of us who already do these things know from experience that they work!" (I think he was looking for: "Because the direction comes from Jehovah and Jesus.")

Wasn't our service meeting so good this week. I was doing a private chuckle to myself because I can remember not to long ago while out in service with the pioneers) an older pioneer sister was griping in a silly kind of way about another younger pioneer sister who is always getting onto her about writing down the information about a householder she has left some literature with. But here we have it directly from the faithful and discreet slave to write it down immediately after you have left the door and to even let your partner(s) know that you are writing the information down. And write as much information as you can. Another young sister commented that she even writes a description of the individual like hair color.. eye color.. short.. tall.. thin.. fluffy.. cuz she said that we come across a lot of individuals in our ministry work and writing all that information about them helps her remember them better.

I think that the society is really trying to better equip us with good instructions on what to do with someone who expressed interest. Helping us with what seems to be the final big push to find as many interested ones that we can and be able to deal with them properly so as to hopefully not lose them after they have shown interest. Especially how we are going to be devoting some time for that in our service meetings each month.

How wonderful Jehovah is blessing us and what a great deal of love he has for the human race. So inspiring to us that we make sure to do our part.

I can't believe how HOT we are. We are supposed to be in the 80's for the rest of the week. My Dad lives in Michigan and we "compared" our weather. It was 84 when I talked with him yesterday. They were -8! We didn't get a winter and that is my favorite season. Hopefully, when we have our DC, the weather will get straight. Even though we are by the ocean, if we are getting land breezes, it will be hot. I bought some umbrellas to shield us from the sun. They are small so hopefully, we won't be blocking anyone's view.

I hope today is a great day for all of you!

Obedience is a choice, and yet Jehovah says that it will not be burdensome. All things Jehovah teaches us is for our benefit, for now and into an everlasting future. When people decide that it is easier to not obey they accumulate the burdens the world allows them to choose and most are of no benefit.
Anna thank you for your heartfelt post, it reflects the regret of a wrong choice, the remorse as well as the repentant attitude you have toward that choice.
And most appreciatively your choice to throw those burdens on Jehovah, no matter what may come from your earlier choices Jehovah will strengthen and comfort you because of your Love and dedication to him,

The only way to succeed at anything, is to take 1 step at a time and be happy with it! If you fall pick yourself up, if you take a step back, if you stall, just take a step toward your goal, no matter how small!

emoticon on a 3 lb loss. I went to the dr.s on Tuesday and scale was up to 160 lbs. EEEK!!!!!!!!!

I also have a huge sweet tooth. But I have chosen to delve more into my spirituality and worry a little less about my weight for now. I do have a lot of healthy food for myself. I just have to eat it. With my sleep schedule being out of whack. I usually only eat once maybe twice a day. As long as I stay under 160 my clothes still fit. So I will just roll with it for now.

Anna, I have been really appreciating all the info we have been given too. I am happy you have found your way back to Jehovah. We can see how important it is not to leave him as the time is so short before this wicked world will end. Hearing stories like yours really brings it home that Jehovah is waiting til HIS appointed time, it won't be late. We have to do our part by doing all those things you said.
Thank you for sharing your story.

I decided that I am going to take this week off from exercising. I need my body to heal. The scale has been going down. I am so frustrated because while I was working out really hard and eating correctly, the scale was only going down a little bit. Now I haven't been exercising and I have lost three pounds since Monday. I haven't been eating very well either. My sweet tooth is ferocious lately and I have been giving in WAY too much.

I am eating well starting today and ignoring that monster (sweet tooth).

Have a wonderful day everyone!

CLADY326, what beautiful heartfelt comments. I am so glad you and your aunt came back to Jehovah. My mother in law always says "this whole thing hinges on obedience." My husband had a friend that was df for 10 years and he said it was the darkest place he had ever been. He said it was one of the hardest things he went through in his life. It is always so awesome when we see our loved ones come back.

Thank you for sharing!

You know we are living so close to the end and it seems every single watchtower drills it home for us. BE AWAKE, STAY ALERT, OBEY, PREACH, LOVE EACH OTHER AND OUR NEIGHBOR.

My aunt and I have become very close. We are only 3 years apart, she is the older one of us two. But she was disciplined about 3 years ago and her husband had her in limbo for 3 those 3 years until recently when he finally made up his mind whether or not he was going to forgive her or not. And sad to say that he chose to end the marriage. In her behalf, despite her wrong and being disciplined, she stayed strong and kept her faith in Jehovah. Continued to make to all the meetings, preparing for them, daily meditating on the Bible and last but not least diligent prayer to Jehovah. She was reinstated within 1 year of her disciplining.

However, as for me, I was stuck on stupidity for 17 years before I finally made the choice to come back.

And the reason I say we have become close with these past 6 months, is I understand the hurt and pain she feels inside for disobeying Jehovah. And although we know that we can't take it back (the wrong) Jehovah has forgiven us. But that awful disgusting feeling of disobeying serves as a constant reminder that we both don't ever want to be in again. When you are in that position you are truly lost in Satan's grip.

Now both of us have daughters and both of our daughters blame us, the mothers, for everything that went wrong in our marriages with their fathers. But I comfort her and she comforts me in the sense that we both can agree on this (me more so).. The price you pay for disobedience is HIGH. In my case, I was given 3 beautiful children. They were gifts from Jehovah. And I BLEW IT!! I didn't give my children the foundation they needed to have in Jehovah's organization and as a result all 3 have been lost to the world. But it doesn't stop there..

The chain of hurt goes further than my children... my ex husband fell away too, remarried and went to another religion.

Then I see all four of my beautiful grandchildren. And I say to myself... What have I done!!! If I had only listened to Jehovah and my elders in the congregation.... When I contemplated leaving and being in the world I had a plan.. My plan was to be in the world for about a year or so, find another husband (of the world), remarry of course and come back and all is hunky dory and forgiven. WRONGGGGGGGGGGG!! IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY!! As a result, 17 yrs for me and I haven't remarried. BUT I SURELY LOST A GREAT DEAL FOR MY ACTIONS!! I was thinking, IN THE NOW, not about the long term consequences. IT WAS ALL ABOUT ME. Well let me tell you that SELFISHNESS brings you heartache. It may not show up right away, but if you had any real sense of love Jehovah at all, ITS GOING TO BITE YOU REAL GOOD!!

What brought me back to Jehovah??? Well first and foremost it was love for Jehovah. I knew that I had made a dedication and commitment to him many years ago and had to come back and fulfill my end of the deal and prove to him that yes, I want him as my heavenly father and creator. I wanted to as the scripture says, "pummel by body" so as to never be a disappointment to him again. Secondly, I said to myself that before I tried to preach to my grown children I had to set the example. Something I failed at before but am determined to make it right with every power of my being.

Now I say all this because if there is any one of that is thinking of taking a misstep.. DO NOT DO IT!! Stay close to Jehovah, pray for his help and guidance. I would never wish the hurt and guilt that I feel upon any one of Jehovah's servants.

Then as these watchtower studies are like I said, really hitting it home, OBEY!! And I found myself sharing with my aunt about how Jehovah is really trying to prepare us for something that is just around the corner so to speak. And then with my study today, I brought the subject up with her. We don't know that as this day approaches what instructions we are going to be given. Think about how Noah felt.. didn't have a clue as to what Jehovah was really asking of him in regards to building this huge ark. But did he say, Oh, Jehovah, I know nothing of what you ask of me, I can't do it, find someone else. No, he obeyed and trusted in Jehovah that he would guide him. And what about Abraham and Issaic. Both father and son OBEYED!! The father could have said, no, he is my only son and and the son could have easily over powered the father in other to protect himself. BOTH OF THEM OBEYED!!

Now Jehovah sometimes gave very detailed instructions to his people. Example, the Isrealites in Egypt. When Jehovah was going to send an angel to bring death upon all the firstborn sons in Egypt but the Isrealites would be protected. But only IF, they followed in detail what Jehovah instructed. (Ex. chapter 12)

Now, I want to be confident that when this time comes, that when we receive instruction from faithful and discreet slave that I will be strong to OBEY exactly as instructed. Remember when Lot and his wife were leaving Sodom and Gomorrah. Yes, they both obeyed and were fleeing the city, but what did Lot's wife do?? She turned back to look and had a longing for what she was leaving behind. Consequences... a pillar of salt.

Are we going to be able to OBEY just as instructed. What if we are instructed to leave with just the clothes on our back. Are we going to have enough faith in Jehovah, and DO JUST SO. And flee without looking back with a longing at what we are leaving behind.

This is a very serious question we all need to ask ourselves. Are we doing everything in power right now TO OBEY Jehovah's commandments? Are we loving Jehovah with our whole heart, our whole mind and our whole soul?

This is to be taken as food for thought. And these are some serious questions I have pondering over and really taking to heart. I hope you all feel the same.

Don, Sorry you are dealing with so much pain. We didn't even get winter here. I keep seeing on the news how often the arctic blast keeps pounding that half of the US.

Ginna, It hurts to fall after you graduate high school. (in my opinion). About 6 years ago, I fell getting out of the truck and I literally cried it hurt so much. I hope you heal quickly.

It's nice to see all of you! Meeting was fantastic and so was the WT. We read the first article before starting. I love reading about how the Truth touched so many lives and they would risk so much to make sure as many as possible could get the spiritual food they needed.

Today, we were overcast. Jeff took Eric out in the Ministry. Eric didn't want to wear a jacket and it was only 49 degrees when they left and by the time they got home, it was only 54. Around 4 pm, the sun came out. The sunset must have been pretty. We have meeting so late I didn't get to see it.

Thomas feels a lot better. He had a few more episodes of puking, but at least now he is keeping food down. While I was helping my friend move, Jacob had put her bed together in her new place. While we were putting the box spring down I tripped over the frame of the bed and landed on my back on the floor. I have terrible bruises over and under the back of my knees. One of my friends offered to help me clean my other friends apt. The friend that moved has fibro and a lot of other medical issues so we tried to get as much done as we could. We made a trip with the rental truck. We got everything except her hang up clothes and her plants. Not too bad! Thankfully, she had two maintenance guys that work at her apt place that helped us.

I am off to bed. Good night!

Body weight can fluctuated even up to a couple pounds each day depending on its reaction to what we eats and do. If you strain your muscles too much your body will compensate and sooth those muscles with water retention. Doesn't make it comfortable for us though! LOL

When I got out of high school I started roller skating and it became my passion, I lost 70 ponds in 3 months, I skated at least 5 time a week and on Sundays from 9am to 11pm. Now it's just once or twice a year and have had thoughts of selling my skates, which if purchased now, new, would be worth between $1000- $1500 U.S. Dollars. My wife won't let me do it and I don't really want to, but even if I lose 100 pounds I don't know how much longer my hips will stand up! This winter has been extremely hard on the arthritis in my hips and it has been very hard to get motivated to move. emoticon

Hi everyone, hope all is well. It was an awesome meeting today, the talk was excellent. We had one of our Elders give it because of the weather. I loved the WT study. Some great reminders for us.

Went rollerskating again on Sat. We make it a family thing, me, husband, sister, her husband, our children and my little niece. Some little girl come right up behind me and hit my skate, so I bit the dust. I will tell you, when you are 49, it hurts more to fall...lol. It doesn't seem to phase the young ones when they fall. My left knee is messed up, but I will be ok.

Well I just got home from work so I am going to relax for a bit.

Take care,

Ginna
