Hello all,

Celest, it sounds like you had a long day, it will seem like that when you are around someone that complains a lot. Got one that comes over to my house and visits every now and then and an hour seems like 20. I was curious how your treasure hunt went? I read your blog and it sounded like so much fun.

Cinamin you are a super woman! You are always so busy and staying up late. I have to be in bed by at least 11 or I am no good to anyone the next day. Didn't sleep well last night so I am kind of tired, but I managed to get a lot of work done in my office and am heading down again to finish a few things.

Hi Asta, hope you are doing well.

Wow Cinamini how do you keep those hours with a youngster in the house attending school?
You really have got stamina.

Today I had the oddest day. I went to my meeting spot for fs and waited for my partner who never pitched up. After waiting for more than half an hour I decided to call her, only to discover that her number was saved onto my cell phone and not the sim card, so no number. My nephew wanted me to go shopping with him for some jeans, so I text him to say my fs partner had not arrived and he could fetch me. The response was "who is this?" I repied "who else did you recently ask to go shopping with you?" The response was "I think you have the wrong number, I provide a shuttle service for schools. I have no money to shop and dont need jeans???" LOL again, the number on this loan phone I've been given to use, must be an old number of my nephew. Oh dear, sent the person an apology with a brief explanation.
Decided I would have the long trek home because hubby had our vehicle out of town, when an elderly dear phoned to ask if I needed a lift home....what a coincidence....except she asked me to first drive her aaaall over town and offered to buy me coffee before returning me home and she was in SUCH A ROTTEN, COMPLAINING mood, she whined about EVERYONE...that by the time I finally got home, I felt kinda blue myself. Wow. Anyway, after preparing for the meeting, I felt a whole bunch better.

Ginna, I didn't feel the one last week even though it was closer to me than the one we just had. The damage was pretty extensive in the area it was located. 29 homes (20 apartments in the same complex) were red tagged meaning it's not safe to enter. There have been over 100 aftershocks. I haven't felt any of them.

Celeste, I hope your barbeque goes great. When you bring healthy items, it seems everyone wants to follow in your good steps too.

I used to only bring fresh fruit. I would either use an ice-cream scoop for watermelons and I would bring fresh strawberries. They were the first to be gone. When it's hot outside, the cold fruit cools you from the inside out.

I didn't get to bed until 5 am. I had started laundry and I took everyone's shower towel. I was trying to get all of it done before morning. I even caught up all the ironing. The bad....I am exhausted!!!!!

Have a wonderful day and keep making wise choices in eating and all that we do!

Been having such strange dreams for the past 3 days. Dreams where I seem to be fighting with everyone I come into contact with. Im not a fighter generally, so this is so out of character for me and I wake up tired. This morning I overslept and didnt make the group for fs.
Went shopping instead to get food stuffs for a barbecue tomorrow. The kids paid, but Im keeping it healthy while tasty. Hope I sleep better tonight so that I can be all smiles tomorrow. Who needs a tired mom at a barbie?? LOL

I just heard on the news about the earthquake, I am glad you are all ok. That must have been scary! They had one two weeks ago too, did you guys feel that one?

I wish I could jump on a trampoline, for bladder reasons I can't....lol. We used to have one and I loved it. I love to jump rope too, but that doesn't go that well either!

Got to get ready for service, have a great weekend everyone!

We were invited to join some friends from our hall to go to a place called "Sky Jump". We went and had SO much fun! They had an area for dodge ball, jumping on a trampoline area with about 30 trampolines put together with areas to walk on and it was all enclosed with the same type of material the trampolines are made from. They also had an area for rock climbing.

I jumped on the trampolines for a long time and I was able to get pretty high. I also did the rock climbing twice. They didn't have harnasses for the rock climbing. You just start on one side and try to get to the other without falling. When you do fall, you land in a huge pile of square foam things.

Jacob and Thomas played dodge ball. The balls were soft enough not to hurt, but I still didn't want to participate in it. They also had an area where you go out on a beam and have protective head gear on and you try to knock the other person off with a soft long stick.

I am all tuckered out and I haven't finished the work I was supposed to do for the last few days, so I had better get at it!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Ginna, She had the advantage of just joining you. Fresh eyes can see things we might have missed. But, I do agree with you about looking forward to the NS.

Yesterday we got a little bit of sprinkles in the early morning and then by the time we were done studying for the entire meeting, it started pouring. I decided that I would do the workout and try to get the rest of the territory done today after Jacob gets home. We have dark clouds all over. I hope it holds off until after we are done with the two and a half streets.

I did the modified version of the workout with no jumping. My foot didn't hurt nearly as bad.
I am going to get the taxes done between today and tomorrow so, I had better get at it. Have a great day everyone!

Hello everyone,

Celest, you need a good night's sleep after that stressful time with your car. Hope you are refreshed for the ministry tomorrow morning. Have fun!

Way to go on your workouts Cinamin. You are doing awesome. I bet you are toning right up. Probably going down some serious sizes. Muscle takes up less space than fat so your clothes probably don't fit anymore. Nice reason to go shopping...lol.

Hello, Freedee how have you been? Hope all is well with you.

I have this game book that I have been doing to keep my mind sharp. It has word seek, sudoko, secret word, crosswords, etc. I got the master series because I wanted to think. I was doing one of the puzzles yesterday and I thought I was doing really well until my 21 year old daughter sits by me. She asked if she could do it with me. She had all the words found in less than 5 minutes. What I wouldn't give to have my mind work like that again!

In the new system it will, can't wait!

Good night everyone!

FreeDee, It's nice to see you! emoticon

Celeste, I am so happy that Justin was able to figure out a way to get you help asap.
I hope you enjoy your day in the Ministry as well!

I did the T25 (a new Beachbody workout that only takes 25 minutes but is just as effective as Insanity) workout yesterday. I did the one that I was supposed to do on Monday but couldn't find the "go" needed and I had to take Eric to another doctor (this is wearing very thin on my nerves. I can feel a long cry coming once it is all done).

That means that I did the workout for Monday and Tuesday back to back. I did the stretch after the first one and the second one. As soon as I came inside, my heel started hurting SO badly. Jacob hasn't been feeling very well. He went with Jeff all last week and Jeff 'shares' food with the boys. I understand why, they are sitting for most of the day and when they get to an appt they have to load and unload as fast as they can to sell product. Jacob is used to eating A LOT of food. Jeff usually splits food 70/30 even with Eric. Jacob was trying not to complain about being hungry but when he got home, he drank almost an entire gallon of milk. He lost 10 pounds in the 4 days he was with him, but Jacob wasn't happy at all.

Come to think of it, when Eric is home on his day off, he eats from the time he wakes up until he goes to bed.

I am going to get all the work done that I have to and study for the meeting and hopefully by the time I am done, I will be able to stand on my foot long enough to finish the 2 1/2 streets I have left in my territory so I can get another one tonight. If I still can do the workout afterwards, fine, but I really want to get the campaign done before I do that. Spiritual things first!

Have a wonderful day dear ones!

I drove my son to his job in Mossel Bay (an hours drive from our town) and spent the morning at a kiddies play area (like a giant McDonalds playroom and thrice as noisy) At 2.45pm I finally noticed the time and had to grab Axel and make a dash to collect Daniel. Got to the car, dumped Axel in and put his seat belt on, only to find my car dead. Battery issue....I opened the bonnet and could not find the battery ANYWHERE. In desperation, I called Justin at work back in George-an hours drive away and tearfully told him my tale of woe. He called a spiritual brother who is a mechanic and the sweet guy came around to help me. Well, it turned out, that BMW batteries dont sit under the bonnet, they sit in the boot...WHO KNEW?
He got me jump started and away I sped to collect Daniel who in turn was panicking, because he was going from job no1 to job no2 and couldnt be late. We made up time on the highway because it is a flat, straight road and you can go faster...which I did. I managed to pull into his job no2 only 5 minutes late so there was no problem there thankfully.
Im now sooooo ready for a hot soaking bath and some down time then bed to sleep forever if possible. lol Ok not forever, since I have a fs arrangement tomorrow morning. emoticon

I have not seen her since she left for the UK.....Im also soooo glad that I have lost the 20kgs (44 pounds) and will now be seriously back on track till she arrives. Thanks so much everyone for their concern for my son! We truly are a loving caring worldwide family! He seems to be okay with the exceptions of a stiff neck and occasional headache. The Doctor said this would probably happen and to alternate ibuprofen and Tylenol.

Due to this harsh winter and a bout of sickness he fell behind on his hours the last couple months, so he was shooting for 90-100 hours this month, he may be just shy of the 90, plans to be out tomorrow 9-3 Monday and 9-6 Wednesday.
Kim and my youngest have made it to there 30 hrs. and I am 7 hrs away. I plan to take vacation Tuesday-Friday and go out with my boys Wednesday, Friday, & Saturday. Looking forward to Aux. again in May!

Don, That really must have been scary. I am glad you were able to keep your wits and handle the situation. Maybe he needs to sit down with you and your wife and decide a better schedule that is a little more balanced. Without having all the pieces of the puzzle, sometimes important things like personal study get put on the back burner. I am not saying that is what is happening to him. When I was a regular pioneer, I cleaned city busses at night. The shift started at 10 pm and by the time I was home, showered and in bed it was almost 3 am. I let my personal study slide and I was emotionally drained. I hope things will lighten up for him. I am sure with such a great father showing him the way, he will continue walking in the light of Truth.

We were supposed to get some drizzle today. It was much cooler, but no drizzle or rain. I washed the truck today so that means it will rain tonight. lol

We had our meeting switched from Tuesday night to Saturday (this morning) another cong has the CO. Since it's the beginning of the campaign, I asked for a territory near my home. The border is the opposite side of my street. We covered one street and now, when Thomas gets home from school, we can just do the invitaton wrok. I am aiming for 30 hours in April. I don't want to sign up for the aux as the last 1 times, I didn't make my time.

It has taken me literally a week of mowing to get all caught up. I can't start until after 4 each day and I didn't finish until last nigjt at 10 pm I cleaned the pool and there is so much dibris at the bottom.

I am off to bed, Sweet dreams....

My word, that is a SERIOUS schedule. My heart goes out to people with such heavy schedules. I have a friend who works extremely long hours, in fact they usually finish work in time to pick their children up and go straight to the meeting. The first time they get to sit down in the day is at the meeting. Whenever their is a public holiday...instead of being able to rest like most folks do, this family is out in the ministry making up for "lost" time. They are faithfully at every kh cleaning, fs arrangement...you name it, they are there. Their's are usually the first names down when it comes to working with the CO.....I often wander if they aren't going to crash and burn sometime....so far so good. Sometimes in the meeting, both parents eyes are closed and my heart bleeds for them, but Jehovah must REALLY love such offers of diligence.
Enjoy your assembly Asta.

Wow, Don, that was a scary situation. Glad he has a father who is paying attention and using wisdom in addressing the situation. Hope he feels better fast...and learns from this experience. It is hard to find balance when you have so many things going on...and young men have so many interests as well.

We have Circuit Assembly this weekend. Last two day for us..and our CO will be "forced" to retire at the end of this circuit (he is above the new cut off age of 70). He will be a wonderful addition to some congregation somewhere. He has also been serving as a replacement DO so he has done extensive traveling as he serves Jehovah. We just love him and will miss him when he leaves after serving our cong. one more time.

Invitation work starts tomorrow!! Let's knock some territory out!

Had a scare, my oldest son passed out at work yesterday. He was mounting a wall bracket when his co-worker slammed it into the wall pinching his finger which left a blood blister. He went to the restroom to lance the blister, looked up at the mirror felt dizzy and nauseous, a minute later after that he awoke on his back! He the was allowed to take off work and he drove himself home, (told him to never do that again!) anyway after 3 hrs of tests at the ER he was released. Turns out he has been burning the candle at both end with pioneering, his work schedule and helping a friend with his car engine, then coming home and playing a couple video racing games. Wasn't eating or drinking enough and may have an aversion to the sight of blood ( he almost passed out again after drawing blood for tests). I decided that he should get a little extra rest this morning and do letters for some not at homes today. That way he can be refreshed tomorrow for the start of the campaign.

Good afternoon everyone, I love the Greatest Man book. Someone else at our hall suggested that be read before the Memorial. I better get moving. Thank you Cinamin for the suggestion!

Sorry about your phone Celest. I hope it starts to work for you. Phones can be expensive.

Take care everyone,

Good idea Don LOL.
Well after one night, the phone still isnt working. I wish I had known to take the battery etc out immediately. Wish phones came with a few "can go wrong instructions" but sadly they dont. I've just kept the phone in the rice, in the sun.....so we'll see what the next few days bring. Tomorrow is a public holiday in my part of the world, so it gives us an extra opportunity for getting some ministry done.

Celest, one night may not be enough! If you hav an old cell phone reactivate it and don't even try your phone for at least one week. If the phone didn't completely short out initially it may when you replace the battery after one day. Unless you have it completely dismantled it will not be d\completely dry in one day no matter what method. One trick I heard of but have not tried is dipping it in rubbing alcohol, I would research this however. When I was a saltwater aquarium enthusiast I dropped mine in a bucket of salt water. I let it dry for several weeks and it worked for another year couple quirks here and there early on but they ironed out. I did get salt creep under the glass however. My son however went into Lake Michigan for 15 minutes with his and it never worked again using the same drying method, so it is hit or miss whether they work again after submersion, hope yours does!
All 4 in the household are pioneering this month! 1 Reg. 3 Aux (30hr) 3 of us are way ahead on our time, one is half way there, (that would be me) Kim and my youngest will have their time this weekend and Aaron RP is on course for a 90-100 hr month!

Hope all are doing well

Celeste, I am so sorry that your phone got wet. FIRST thing to do is take the battery out. You can then blow dry as long as you can without letting your phone get hot. I hope that the rice is helpful but make sure you take your battery and battery door off.

Ginna, We just had our CO visit. Wonderful talks all through the week! Service was awesome on Saturday.

FreeDee, I am looking forward to the campaign as well! Our CO and his wife start listening to the book "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived" while driving to and from meetings. They start in Feb and by the time the Memorial, they have listened to the entire book. It really builds a thankful spirit.

Have a great day everyone!

I had such rotten "luck" today. I took Axel to the beach and while the pair of us were having an absolutely marvelous time playing all over the rocks at the tidal pool, we suddenly found one that was slippery...so down we both went into the water....INCLUDING MY CELLPHONE. So now its dead. I've been given advice to leave it in rice overnight and Im hoping that is going to dry it out. I will be lost without my phone!

Hello everyone. Exciting times ahead. I am looking forward to the Invitation Campaign starting 3/22. We have our Special Assembly Day on 3/22 so we will officially begin on 3/23. Whole congregation meeting together to kick-off the campaign. I am so excited about the opportunity to glorify our loving Heavenly Father and to show our Ransomer how much I appreciate everything they have done for me. I hope you all have many wonderful experiences during the campaign.

During my bible reading and research (Genesis chapt 43), I found that Benjamin was a married man with children, yet his father Jacob would not let him leave town without his permission.....just saying emoticon

My friend Carol had a sad call today, her brand new study has been fired for theft from work....she's utterly embarrassed but still going to study. It's sad when people make such bad choices. Its true that she is on the lowest amount per day that one can get...but all the staff in that store are...theft is never the answer..now she has no income which is worse than a small income.

I guess if someone is going to make The Herbs de Provence...please look up the recipe...those amts. that I posted are for a bottle of herbs to use in cooking, not how much I put into that bean stuff. There are recipes here on SP and elsewhere online for white bean stew, and other similar things. Can't think what the name of the recipe was that actually set me to thinking of trying it.

Asta, that recipe sounds so delicious. I am going to try it, always looking for something different to cook and healthy too.

Thank you all, yes I did a lot of crying yesterday! They played "He Will Call" at meeting yesterday. That song is so beautiful, a tear jerker though. It will be ok, just going to take some more time.

Cinamin, you have been very busy, must of needed the sleep. Awesome day out in service too. Sounds like you are going to have a good call!

Have a great day everyone,

Ginna

Cinamin, the herb blend is actually Herbs de Provence. This is an herb blend I first found when needed it for a recipe. What my grocery had is a grinder blend called Tuscan Herbs Mill. A make your own recipe for Herbs de Provence includes:
3 tablespoons oregano leaves
3 tablespoons thyme leaves
1 teaspoon basil leaves
1 teaspoon sage leaf
3 tablespoons savory
2 tablespoons lavender flowers
1 teaspoon rosemary

I love beans and I love spinach...so your recipe appealed to me. I've just made a pot of bean soup for tonight.
I had the strangest outing this morning. My mom asked me to join her and another couple for breakfast. Great...I love outings. Well, the other couple spent the entire time on their cellphones, despite my bringing to their attention that they were being rude to my mom who invited them out....they just apologized but continued. I know my mother HATES this with a passion, so I mentioned it again...and they excused themselves and left.
Wow...their manners were truly tacky in this case.

Ginna, I am sorry that you are going through a tough time. FREEDEE is right, cry when you need to. It might help ease the tension for your brothers too. Maybe they are trying to hold back thier emotions so if they see you crying they can comfort you and vise versa. I know it's probably too late, but talking about the "great times" can be comforting and will help you get the job done. Sending hugs to you.

Asta, The meal you prepared does sound easy but I have never heard of tuscan seasoning.

I am just about ready to go to bed. I was able to get out in the Ministry on Sat. we have the CO and the meeting for FS was only about 10 minutes. He opened the Bible to the introduction and had his wife and another sister do a short demo. It was so easy. You just pick a topic and look up the scripture in the Bible instead of just reading it from the intro. Then leave them with the next question and possibly start a study.

I worked with Jacob and Thomas. Every door it was Jacob's turn, people were rude and wouldn't let him get more than a few words out. I was able to speak to one young lady. I got through my entire presentation and was able to read 2 scriptures and she agreed to let me come back. After we were done with door to door, Jacob had a door step study we went on. Jacob is SO good. I was in awe at how well he handled the young mans questions from the Bible.

Our meeting for FS this morning was at 11:40 so we could sneak into the hall in between meetings. I didn't go out. After service yesterday, I cleaned the pool. Once I was all done, we have a basket in between two hoses that catches all the leaves and things like that so the basket on the pump won't get too full. I almost had it out of the pool and it unlatched from the hose before I could get it out so everything went back in to the bottom. It's 12 feet deep.

I hooked everything back up (very irritated) and got it all up again. Then, I came in and caught up the ironing. It took almost 7 hours straight. My feet and back were screaming at me so I slept in until almost 1 pm today.

So now, I am off to bed at 1:21 am.
Have a good day!
Hopefully Eric will be in surgery on Tuesday.

Rained here all day...seems to have mostly stopped for the moment. It is dusk...I can see the tree tops in silhouette blowing.

I sort of made a SP recipe this evening and we were pleasantly surprised. My daughter is staying here part of each week till the end of school. She has a variety of food allergies that make eating/cooking rather difficult at times. She loves to eat but doesn't really cook.
Since the new year changes in meeting times, I haven't really got a rhythm going on Sundays...we used to have our hot/main meal at noon or just after and then eat lightly when we finally got home from our late afternoon mtg. Now, it is a challenge since I don't feel like cooking.

ANYway...I recently saw a recipe here that I thought looked promising for us...but I didn't save it. I am not entirely sure what all the ing. were..but it was some kind of white bean stew. I did a search but didn't save anything. Then when daughter asked about dinner, we went shopping in the freezer.

Long story shorter...I found a pkg. of hot italian sausage...so started with that. Once it was pretty much thawed, I cut them into bite size pieces and kept them cooking. When they were about cooked through, I added 4 cans of various white beans (drained) and two large handfuls of baby spinach. I had just a very little bit of Tuscan herbs left, so tossed those in, also...and heated up everything. Hubby LOVED it. Daughter liked it well enough to pkg some to take to school with her. Sausage doesn't like me, so I only tasted the bean/spinach part...but it had seasoned by the sausage and had a very nice flavor. This is simple enough that my barely-cooks daughter can make it herself. Ingredients are easy to have on hand and it doesn't take long to prepare. So, that was a nice quick meal for a rainy evening.

Hi everyone, it is a beautiful sunny day, always makes for a good mood. Didn't make it out in service this morning, I have to meet my brothers over to my parents house. We are going to start the process of cleaning it out to get it up for sale. This is going to be tough. Every time I go over there I cry, don't want to cry today so I am getting my mind set now.

You all have a fabulous weekend.

Hugs,

Ginna

Glad your husband found his pedometer. I know how he feels about those steps. Too bad.

Guys I don't think I will ever look at a jar of Miracle Whip the same again. It is forever changed. It will remind me of all of you. I love you all already.

emoticon Hi Everyone! I have had a LONG day, but finally made it through signing up with Obamacare AND getting the finances corrected...we DID get some help...and we found a much better choice for our healthcare than what we had selected back in the beginning. If you are having trouble, by ALL MEANS, Call them! Those folks are SO nice.

I spent the morning with health care and the afternoon with taxes. Had to call for help on that also...and to may delight, taxes are finished and filed. What a relief to have all that behind me!

Hubby got all the exercise today. He hauled wood and other stuff, then went for a L-O-N-G walk. When he got back he discovered his Sparktracker thing was missing. SO then he retraced his steps and couldn't find it anywhere..(he has found my lost pedometers 3X). Then he thought to check by the backhoe...nothing there, and finally where he started..at the woodpile and there it was. He is delighted to have his pedometer, but bummed at not getting to count ALL those steps.

FreeDee, GREAT idea!!!! lol

It sounds like everyone is enjoying their day. That is so great!

Thomas recieved two awards today at school. It's nice that he is recognized for his ability. He would barely smile for the pictures I took. The teacher only gets to give 8 per semister, So far since he has been in school(starting in kinder at the same school) there was only one time in 4th grade he didn't get an award. He has so many folders that they tried to give him two and he turned them down. He said he was out of room. lol

I know that with all the studying we do for meetings and FWE, that has helped so much with his ability. He loved to be read to when he was little. I LOVE that I FINALLY have a reader! (one that does it because he likes it, not because he has to.)

Our CO gave a fantastic talk last night and gave us council that we all need. He started out with what we are doing that is good, then he gave us something to work on as a cong. We went over a number of "new" things since 2009. There are over 65!!!! Some were in our understanding of prophecy and some were changes in our literature. It took almost 17 people to answer until he called on a little girl and she said, "JW.org". We all started laughing because that is what we all use so often. Try to think of some, let's see if we can get them. I tried to write them down, but he only had so much time to give the talk so he went through about 20 on his list.

I already shared 4
Family worship evening (FWE)
new understanding of Daniel 2:44
Magazines shortened to 15 pages
Study edition of the WT

Now it's your turn! emoticon

Ha Ha FreeDee, my daughter showed everyone at the Hall last night the picture with my face so red. Got a lot of laughs. Hey it must of worked, I got carded last night at Applebee's...lol
I ordered a beer and she asked to see my ID, I was laughing and told her I was 49. She said I am 37 and you look way younger than me. I said to my daughter and nephews, it must have been the Miracle Whip. We were cracking up! Oh well made my night! Her tip went up too!

Take care to all and make it a great day!

Good morning. Hope you are all well. I weighed in this morning and I am disappointed that the number on the scale is moving down so slowly. Maybe I should put Miracle Whip from head to toe and see if it will burn off some of my fat. Oh well, it is what it is. I am going out in service and focus on more important things and I promise to SMILE. Thanks for listening. Have a great day.

Ginna, I have never heard of putting miracle whip on your face. I have heard about putting it on your hair. It's supposed to take off all the chemicals that we put in our hair. Hairspray, and all the other damaging stuff. I have decent skin, so I think I will pass on that. lol

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Asta, yes the red is totally gone now and I have to say my skin feels so smooth. I just would have liked to know what to expect. The redness is from the vinegar in the MW. I don't think I will be trying it again, just because my doctor said I was having an allergic reaction to it, that is why my face felt like it was on fire. Not for me, but it does work for some.

Thank you for the info!

Ginna, I had never heard of this (though by now, nothing should surprise me!). I googled it and found info about using Miracle Whip...and it does produce the effect of temporary redness...it is likened to a chemical peel. Here is the info: www.acnescarstreatments.com/acne-sca
r-
home-remedies/miracle-whip-for-acne-R>scars.html
Apparently it is a method of treating acne.

It would worry me to get a severe reaction...I would wonder if that is happening INSIDE if you eat Miracle Whip. Just a thought. I have family members with food allergies and you learn to be cautious.

Awesome illustration Cinamin. I am glad you are enjoying the CO's visit. Next week for us.

Well my sister went to the doctor today and her doctor was in her early 60's and her skin is flawless, so my sister asked her how she got her skin so smooth. The doctor told her she used Miracle Whip once a month. So when my sister left, I got the MW out of the fridge and slathered it on. My daughter was sitting there and was like mom your face is red. I said well it was red before I put it on, and she says no mom it is really red. So I went to the mirror and my face was like a lobster and it was on fire. I started freaking out and my daughter was cracking up, my husband was laughing, I called my doctor to see if I should go to the emergency and the receptionist was chuckling. My daughter Miranda sent a picture to my sister with her phone and my sister couldn't even talk she was laughing so hard. Needless to say I was giving everyone a laugh today, but I didn't think it was very funny. I can laugh now because my face is calming down. It was sorta scary though because I thought I burned my face.

Thought I would share, so maybe you might get a little chuckle!

We have our CO visit right now. His first talk was so great! He was talking about fishing. How good fishermen know where the good spots are and what time the fish will be biting and what will work as good bait.

We are fishers of men. We need to be where the people are. We need to find out what interests them so they can get the most of what we can offer. Moving around and taking the necessary adjustments takes work, but in order to catch a fish, that is what is needed.

We have very nice neighborhoods in our territories. Most people will mark the only people that are home since there are so many not at homes.

I was invited to a sisters house that hosted lunch for the CO and his wife today. Her husband is not a Witness but enjoys our company. He loves working with wood and makes so many different beautiful walking sticks. His rule is: if you come to visit, you leave with a stick. So generous! I was able to get one today. It's so beautiful. Jacob has had his for over a year. Lunch was fantastic and the association was great too!

Have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone. Celest I really appreciate your comment about Joseph. It is a good reminder for all of us. I know none of us want to hurt anyone by gossiping. It is just human weakness but it can be conquered if we pray and learn from Bible examples. Thanks for the reminder. I haven't decided on what my comment will be this week. I loved reading yours though.

We have a problem being dealt with right now in our congregation regarding gossip so I didnt answer that (our meeting was Tuesday) because I didnt want to put anyone on the spot. What I chose to answer rather was in the next chapter about Joseph. When summoned to Pharaoh, he shaved his beard off because while wearing bears was customary for Jews, beards to the Egyptians meant uncleanness. He did not have to shave, but did so to respect Pharaoh. My take on that was when we meet people in our ministry with clear differences to us, if it doesnt break bible principles, we can show them the same respect and dignity.

All good suggestions re the frustrating calls, trouble is its not from a cell phone its from a computer number which means I cant call back or send a msg back. Still, I just keep getting hold of them and complaining...hopefully like the widow in the bible...I will finally be heard.

I managed to get to boot camp today for the first time in 3 weeks. It was tough, but not as tough as I expected - thankfully. Sadly, field service cancelled due to a cloudburst. While I am loving the rain, I really need to get out....I havent been out in the ministry for 3 weeks while I was sick, so the only way I could talk about Jehovah was online to my family who are not in the truth...necessary also...but I was looking forward to getting going again. I will have to wait till tomorrow now.

I have SUCH an issue with gossip. I'm not talking about when a person is so burdened that it just bubbles over, that is understandable...Im talking about...just hearing stuff and cant wait to repeat it asap...that is what I have a problem with. So its was with delight that I read how Joseph recognized his brothers yet kept silent, not exposing them as he could have, but kept confidential the terrible thing they did to him. Imitating his example will make us better people. Ah well...everyone has problems and we all have to work on our own particular issues. Roll on the new system.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Hi everyone,

Lyn- we to are having our OC visit. First talk this week was very encouraging for me as well.
I can relate to your pain. The great news we had temp in the 50's and a lot of snow has melted. A little more and we can walk in the park. Can't wait. We found out that there is not a warranty any longer for the bay window that crack on us with all these sub-O temps. Will see where we go from here.
Celest sorry to hear you got that weird phone call.
Hope all it well for the rest of the friends.
Sharon

Celeste', maybe you can contact your local paper ...or write a letter to the editor. TELL! Of course, if you can do so, blocking their number would be excellent. If you have a lawyer, you could also write a legal letter requesting that they take you OFF the call list, or you will go after them for harassment. Sometimes just the threat is enough.

Of course, you can also take another tack...call them and witness to them. Show up in their show room and ask them nicely to stop calling you...and "while I am here" tell them about God's Kingdom. Before you do anything, PRAY on the matter and see what Jehovah suggests. The kindness route..despite how aggravating they are...would be the better choice.

Hope you find SOME way to stop the middle of the night calls. That really is harassment.

Just checking in and saying Hi. It is the CO visit this week so that will be very upbuilding. Something has to shake me out of the low. Bro. Crutchfield is so kind and encouraging! I am glad I am in less pain and will be able to go with an intentive ear.
