Dorothy~Sure wish I'd gotten some cleaning done today. I slept again this morning as I felt awful again. I did get to my client meeting and then came home and did some personal stuff online that was needed finished and didn't take much brain power.

Kohl~What a fun time with friends today. We love Annie Gets Your Gun. Such a fun movie.

Other than the above, I really didn't get much done today. I felt a little better once I took a cold pill and that allowed the cough to stop for several hours. I am claiming that tomorrow is going to be a day of feeling better and having more energy.

Dorothy — Mammograms are a necessary evil and boy do they ever hurt!

Janet — One day at I time and before you know it Issac will be in his twenties. Although It may not get easier there is always hope. Seems here the issues evolve into new ones. Oh, for the toilet training days when I thought I was at the end of my rope.

Going to a homeschooling families house this afternoon. They just got back from a cruise and will leave in another week for another two month vacation. Her husband is a foreman that works for a private road construction company. He works from the middle of March until the middle of December weather permitting. He is only home on the weekends when he works so they get away together for most of the time the off season. The girls will play some games with her son and daughter while we chat away about all that's been happening.

Tomorrow tech week for Annie Get Your Gun starts for the girls. A rehearsal of at least 4 hours is expected every day Saturday through Thursday. Dress rehearsal is on Friday and the performances are on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Am I ready for this?

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Janet - hang in there - look how far you have come emoticon

Started cleaning out my office area last night and moving it into the dining area. I am trying to take my time so I can get some stuff actually put away - its going to be tight but hopefully my daughter makes it down this weekend so we can get the floor done.

Dorothy~I feel that way sometimes on the massage table when it is time to turn over. LOL Glad you were able to enjoy the sunshine even if it was cold.

I was so tired today and this darn cough is making itself well known once again. So tired of coughing and the headache that comes with it after so long. Oh well. I did get some paid work done so my next round of "coming due" plans are organized and ready to go as documents arrive. Naturally the day I am dragging is the day Isaac decides to blow things up by being argumentative about anything and everything and then blaming me for why he chose to start it all off with a lie. Ugh! If he survives the teen years it will be a miracle! emoticon

It actually hurt my hips putting my feet in those stir ups. Good lord - when did my hips get so tight. Glad I do not have to worry about that for another 2 years.

We had sunshine yesterday - yea - and are suppose to have it again today and it is a whopping 19 outside right now. But it looks like we may be having nasty weather again this weekend. I was hoping to go pick up my grandmothers dining set at my dads house but really don't want to if it is nasty out. I will have to call my step moms son and see what he has to say about it. Hopefully they are not in too big of a hurry.

Janet - it is hard to work through those days of no motivation - sometimes I have to force myself t do anything on the weekends and after work - forget it. This time of year really does a number on me.

Dorothy~Oh the fun of annual checks! Ugh! I bypassed the pap and went straight to surgery this time.

My day was ladies Bible study, paid work and hanging out. No motivation to do much so the laundry is still in piles awaiting me!

Janet - does not surprise me it was a Walmart salon - ours does not see to be very friendly at all, At least when I worked there it did not seem to be,

I bet you are loving your new pantry.

I feel like my closet areas.storage areas all need revamped.

I had to go get a retake on my right breast yesterday at the mammogram center - I had to last time as well. I apparently just have very dense breasts. And OMG did it hurt. But all is well. She said the next time I go they should have a 3D machine so there should be fewer call backs. Today is my pap smear - just loads of fun.

Dorothy~The salon that was not helpful was actually a Walmart salon. I told her she could always try one at a different store and see if it was just this one, but I doubt if she will bother. We watched an interesting movie last night and may have to watch it again to pick up on some of the things we missed now that we know the end result. It's called "Displacement".

I slept a bit longer after getting home with the groceries and then did my Bible study and planner before I moved some things to the new pantry and then did some paid work. I binge watched Grey's Anatomy again today and got the 16th season finished. Tomorrow is ladies Bible study and then I'll do more with the pantry.

Janet - that is a shame that the salon was not more helpful - and odd. WE know she will not want to work there. Glad the first one was so helpful.

Hard to believe that it is that time of the year again to start the plans all over again.

I like Time Traveling movies.

So thankfully yesterday was pretty low key. Had to shovel in the morning, paid my bill at lowes and work was quiet - so here is on to Tuesday.

Dorothy~You are right. Tim rarely stops and it is a blessing that he can do so many things. I think a Tai Chi class would be fun.

We all slept in today and then Maegann headed off for a day of shadowing. She ended up coming home about three hours into the eight as they had nothing she could help with and weren't too generous with answering questions. She has another salon to shadow this week and is going back to talk with the owner of the one she went to the first time as he was very knowledgeable and helpful. She's definitely gained awareness about the differences in places.

Tim did some clean-up work in the addition in preparation for some painting. Isaac just did his own thing and I got my Bible study and planner time done before heading to do paid work. It was just emails to about 8 families to start gathering renewal documentation. Here we go again! LOL

Tonight Tim and I are watching time travel movies as we've extinguished all the free Christmas movies. Right now it is a a movie called "The Time Traveler" based on a book by H.G. Wells. It's interesting.

Not much going on with me today - back to work. Next Monday I am planning on starting tai chi looking forward to that. Yesterday I shoveled, did laundry, and started cleaning out the office space to work on the floor,.

Dorothy~Sounds like a smart thing to restrict some traffic with that weather. Layer of ice underneath is always dangerous.

This morning I did online church as Tim went to Karcher. Isaac was supposed to go with him, but he was a brat about getting up and moving so Tim left him home. Of course Isaac got all mad with me about "why did dad leave without me - I wanted to go". He didn't win that argument. I know why dad left him. emoticon

Maegann is shadowing at SuperCuts this afternoon and she is loving it there. I never knew they did color, but she says they do on M-F and they use Paul Mitchell supplies. Tomorrow she is shadowing at the salon inside Walmart.

Tim put shelves in the closet off the dining room -- used to be the water heater "room" -- so tomorrow I am going to move some things from the counters and cupboards to make more room in those areas. So thankful he had the supplies on hand to build the shelves.

I have not received many tax papers yet Janet, but am trying to get everything in order.

l. I woke up yesterday and it had actually rained the night before and of course it was frozen rain, I mad a quick trip to the store and stayed home the rest of the day. It started snowing and snowed all day long before switching back to rain and then back to snow. Ugh,.I got out and shoveld late afternoon and it was wet and heavy - we probably got a good half a foot. WE got more last night and it is suppose to snow again today. Not as much as yesterday, I am going to go out and shovel again in a bit.

They actually reduced the speed limit on the highways and had road restrictions. There was a pile up on the thruway and it was closed for most of the day.

Hopefully Michael waits until tomorrow morning before heading back. Issac and Michael must be close to the same height,.

We are just now starting to get needed tax documents in the mail. How much snow did you end up getting wit this storm?

Today was good. I slept in, started a load of laundry, did my personal study time and then got busy taking down the exterior Christmas lights with Isaac’s help. I needed his 6’3” to make it go easier! Then I organized my work area and watched a Hallmark NOW movie. Their new “winter” movies are all tropical and fun in the sun! Tonight Tim and I are watching time travel movies. I liked the first one called Allistair 1918. The second one has been a bit slower, but Tim wanted to see it again (he saw it in Reno). It’s called “A Plan in Time”.

Roads were not bad. Snow really did not start until yesterday after work - so I have to shovel this morning.

And it is cold - in the teens - we have been spoiled with such a mild winter that that is not going to be fun,

Sounds like a good day all the way around at your household Janet.

I am so glad that I do not have to go back as often for my pap any more - now I wish it was the same for my mammo - I am always late with it.

It was beautiful yesterday and I was able to get out the last 3 days for a walk at lunch but it is all changing today. It rained all night with the temps falling continuously and now it has started sleeting. I just hope the roads are not icy when I head in to work. Suppose to snow all day. I do have an appointment after work and then if it is not too bad may run to the store. I do have to run to the pharmacy as they screwed up on my prescription.

Glad girl's night was fun! I am sure glad my round of "female tests" is done for 1-2 years.

Spent the morning at ladies Bible study and it's going to be a good one once again. It's on Psalm 107. This afternoon I cleaned the kitchen, did my Prayerful Planner and then some paid work. Tonight Tim and I are watching "A Frosty Affair" and trying to get a fire to take hold. The snow we had Monday night came with strong winds so the wood pile was damp.

Maegann had a good day. She got Level Two, did her first Balayage on a gal with very long hair and then did an amazing job for a photo shoot tonight for "Roaring 20's" using her friend Kim as the model. Hair and make-up. Tomorrow I will put the pictures in my blog.

Janet - oh yes - life can be fun. I find myself in that situation with Mike at the Drs. - he rambles on and on and does not always tell the truth or remember the facts - and it is hard not to to always be butting in. But when I don't go things don't get resolved - so very hard indeed.

Nice that Maegann was able to get half her hours booked. And an internship would be lovely.

Stopped down to my moms yesterday after work. And tonight I am going out to dinner with th girls that I kind of barged into there group - lol. Tomorrow after work in my mammo

Dorothy~Always nice finding some positives in the midst of sadness.

Maegann spent time today calling salons to schedule shadowing time as she needs 30 hours outside of school to graduate. She has Sunday and Monday booked for half of those hours so that was encouraging to her. She is also going to contact Kelly Cardenas once she graduates about the internship as he told her to do that so she should at least try.

Isaac’s doctor appointment was frustrating in a way because there comes a point where I can only say so much without sounding horrible and honestly, who would want to sit and listen to negatives about themselves even if it is to bring about positive changes. I intend to send a written communication to the doctor this week and see if Tim and I can schedule an appointment with her minus Isaac. The “professionals” are all about the need to be doing what they enjoy, but she doesn’t have all the background as to why Isaac is not playing basketball right now. It isn’t always that simple. And the doctor doesn’t know the back story regarding his desire to attend a different school so he can play ball. It’s not logical. Oh, life can be fun, right? LOL

Janet - I bet that every day is a relief that she is getting closer to being done.

It was good to see my old friends in Galeton yesterday, I stopped at my good friends house and had lunch with her and then we went to the viewing and saw my old neighbors there. Just such a sad occasion. But good to see people dear to me. And I was so thankful my daughter went with me and her boyfriend drove - it is nice to be chauffeured.

Quiet day here. Church, sleep and football.

Glad Maegann has made it through the cosmetology program certification. She still has some floor hours to finish - shadowing at a salon and she's going to get the student director's help on getting that scheduled. Then comes the licensing exam. Almost done!

I spent my morning working on personal finances and stopped when the football game came on. Go Vikings! (I root for the underdogs when my teams aren't playing.) I will miss most of the later game as Maegann's graduation ceremony is from 6:30-8. Worth it!

Janet - wow - I am sure you are both glad that her school is almost complete. Michael's is getting getting close to be done as well - I believe he is done in March as well. He is looking into an internship right now.

Poor Issac - it must be so frustrating for him as well as for you. Its too bad that the basketball is not working out for him.

I need to go get groceries this morning - just wanted to come home yesterday. It poured all day long. Suppose to rain more today but this morning should be quiet.

I saw on facebook that a dear friends husband has passed so it looks like I will be making a road trip this weekend.

We've been having light snow off and on today and they are predicting some overnight and in the morning. Hopefully it clears off and doesn't do much as Maegann's formal graduation ceremony is tomorrow night. She doesn't officially "clap out" until March and she is so ready to be done with all the "like high school drama".

Isaac's behavior is still on high gear this afternoon (ugh) and I know the basis is that he isn't getting his way regarding where he attends high school because he knows he can play basketball anywhere else. He just won't hear us.

Anyway... quiet day overall. Groceries and entering my time online. Need to go fix supper, but wanted to do my personal email and Sparking first. At least most of it.

Dorothy~Sounds like a surprise snow! We had rain all night and then it froze.

I had a very quiet day and actually got extra rest this morning once the house was empty. I think I'm just simply exhausted from life the past month and a half. It hasn't helped that Isaac has become more argumentative again with everyone and really escalates that behavior when Maegann gets home from school. I wish I could figure out the why behind this with him.

Janet - got to love a good day.

I got up yesterday morning, sparked, did my yoga, got showered and ready for work and went to start my van - we had gotten at least a half a foot of snow. What the heck. So then I had to do a mad dash to get walks cleaned. Shoveled our 2 houses and the one elderly neighbors but then had to get to work. I got the other two neighbors shoveld when I got home - at least the houses are empty. I think everyone was as surprised as I was. Today suppose to get sunny and get into the mid to upper 30's - but right now it is only in the teens - brr!

Dorothy~Hope your labs come back fine and that is good news to have a referral to a specialist for Mike. I know you've hoped for something to change with his care.

I was gone all morning for a client meeting and then came home and started a load of laundry and then did some paid work. Now I'm Sparking before switching to the jigsaw puzzle. A good day.

Janet - anxiety is terrible and it affects everyone so differently.

It was overcast here yesterday but the closer we got to Erie the bluer the skies were ad we had sunshine. This morning woke up to snow - not much but some - so today is going to be winter and then back to mild temps tomorrow and through the weekend.

My appointment went well - saw my metabolic Dr - should get the blood test results today.

Mikes was very informative. We saw the Eye Dr who took his cancer off his eye lid. The cancer that he removed is the type of cancer that grows veins and spreads. He is referring us to a specialist in Pittsburgh. Hallelujah! I am so sick of the Dr he sees here in town. I am thinking it may be the same type of cancer that we dealt with 10 years ago - I will have to find his reports and see. Just so glad to finally having some action on this. After we left there we ran of to the Tim Hortons that Michael works at and saw him and got a bite to eat. So a perfect day.

Hope the appointments went smoothly today Dorothy.

Couldn't get to sleep last night and Maegann was having an anxiety attack so I "napped" all morning. This afternoon I got the next plan draft done and put some things together for a client meeting in the morning. Meeting at a coffee shop this time. Now I'm doing some Sparking before heading to my Prayerful Planner and then jigsaw puzzle.

Isaac came home saying it was a good first day back, but he was tired. Maegann also slept the morning away and now is cleaning out her makeup supply. I wear nothing but mascara and then just once in awhile.

Janet - hope you day goes as planned.

Nice that you were able to get mostly caught up yesterday.

Very quiet day today after te weekend - much needed - today I have to leave work early to go to Erie to see my metabolic Dr and Mike has to go see his eye Dr. Luckily the weather is going to cooperate.

Dorothy~Nice that some of your appliances are in place! Whoo Hoo!

I had a good day. Got two plan drafts done and tomorrow will be able to get the next one finished. Feels good to be close to caught up again after having put things on the back burner because of the holidays, surgery and then the cold.

Tomorrow Isaac goes back to school and Maegann has two more days home due to instructor training. She usually keeps to herself so should be a quiet day.

Yesterday I made 3 trips to Lowes to get fitting for the stove and still did not have the right fittings. I even took the book and the gas line. I told Mike I am not going back so he went after the Vikings game and got the right part. Its just ridiculous. The good news is that my microwave and stove are in and my storm door is back on and my new cupboard is in place. I even laid a few pieces of the flooring for under the stove and dishwasher. Today hopefully Mike will work on the dishwasher while I am at work. I just bought the installation kit so hopefully he has everything. Why do these places sell appliances if they do not know what you need to hook them up??

Janet - I do hope Maegann is able to keep her focus on her dreams for a while and not on boys. It is so hard to learn that we do not need a boy to complete us but she is smart and hopefully she will figure it out sooner rather than later.

WE had some snow yesterday as well - not much.

Glad you were able to get the work done on your puzzle.

Mike was very happy his team the Vikings won.

Dorothy~Sounds like a good idea to find a different doctor. Hope that kitchen gets put back together soon! Sorry about the Bills, but I was rooting for the other team at the very end. I've been rooting for all the underdogs. LOL

We had some snow this morning for our drive to church and once back home Tim and I both fell asleep in the living room. This time I set my alarm so I would have time to put lunch together before football. Spent the entire afternoon and most of the evening on the puzzle too. I finally got the black sky done and that's a huge relief. It was difficult.

The latest news is Maegann and Jeff have chosen to "just be friends" as they are going in completely separate directions right now. His is military and hers is wanting to see where she can take her cosmetology dreams. He was quite upset, but I was thankful he was able to voice the differences and knew it was the right thing to do. Feel badly for him, but Maegann was relieved so that's all good on my end. She promised me "no more boys". I sure hope that can stay out of things for several years when she has finally had time to learn who she is on her own.

Tim just arrived in Reno so he's gone for the week. Hopefully this will be the last of the week-long trips.

Janet - I caught the end of the Bills game - what a heart breaker. And a nail biter.

Yesterday must have just been a sleepy Saturday - I was so tired too,. Sat done to watch a bit of TV - but then Michael found me watching Tv and we ran to the auto store, he needed a light kit for his car and I needed a a wind shield wiper for my rear window on the van. And then hubby came over and we got busy. I hope he starts earlier today. I will see if I can get a few things done before he show up. so my kitchen is tore apart right now. And because he is in such bad shape he has a hard time moving - Michael and I do all of the running and lifting and moving, It breaks my heart - even his hands - he does not have the strength in them at all - I am thinking I need to find a Dr who will address all of this answers - this Dr seems like such a quack to me. Maybe I will get him back into the VA.

Sounds like I'm not alone living in a construction zone! Glad you finally got the water line figured out after three trips to Lowes. Have fun figuring out your new oven.

I can count on one hand how many days I have actually felt good and those came at the right time for the Seattle trip the first part of December. Today, even though I am still coughing, I have had a clear head and the energy to get some things done. Still didn't go crazy, but sure feels like I am turning a corner. I sure hope I'm at the end of this run of feeling yucky and tired.

This morning I got one of the two client plans drafted before Isaac got home from his time with Patrick and then I packed it up for the day as he needed to tear out the tile that was for the entry when there was still carpet. I spent time in my bedroom with the dogs as the noise from the power tools was just too loud. Once that lessened I took Christmas down inside the house. Always looks so bare, but I'm glad it is done. I got finished just in time for kickoff so settled down for some football and jigsaw puzzle time. Tonight Tim and I are watching Christmas movies (we've been doing that all week).

Janet - hope you are feeling better soon.

They were able to get my refrigerator in yesterday. They set up everything except the water line. They told me what part to buy - I had already bought one part but it was the wrong one. So I went and bought it - suppose to be easy breezy - nope - it leaked. Hubby came over to look it and could not get it to work either. My nephew showed up t get my old refrigerator and took it to my moms. His friend told us what we should buy. Hubby and I headed back to Lowes and ended up coming back with the same part I had gotten earlier - still did not work. I finally looked int he book and saw what we needed and went back a third time - we had to replace the existing water line that was in place but it worked like and charm and was easy breezy -grr - it was actually the part my nephews friend told us to buy. - how can they sell appliances if they do not know what you need to get it up and running. Hubby was ready to try and tear out the dishwasher and I told him to wait until today - I was exhausted - lol! Was looking at my new stove earlier - emoticon good grief - I did not realize it was so high tech! I am going to have to sit and read the book. It looks like my house is going to be tore up for a couple of months with new appliances and we need to finish the floor and switch around rooms - ugh! But it will be nice when it is all done.

Dorothy~Did the new appliances arrive?

Kohl~I wish I had some freshly baked sourdough bread right now!

Resting big time today as cough is worsening and signs of a slight sinus infection. Going to kick this bug to the curb without antibiotics! (hopefully) Do have laundry going, got some paid work done and once finished here I'm heading to the jigsaw puzzle.

Khol - I love sour dough bread.

I think I agree with Janet - I think full time would be best - I think too much time on her hands would just make the anxiety worse.

Michael struggles with anxiety and it just breaks my heart - why can't they just be happy young adults enjoying there lives,.

Glad your hubbys work worked all out. And nice that he is listening to something positive while he commutes.

Janet - I loved the Little Women they made several years ago - I will have to check out the new one.

I got my hair cut and colored yesterday as well but alas - no videos of mine - lol! I do enjoy my pampering time.

Dorothy~I did enjoy the movie. Casting was very good for the characters.

Kohl~And D21's anxiety will heighten if she can't be at school full-time, etc. I know that cycle all too well. emoticon Enjoy the bread machine.

My morning was spent having my hair color touched up, trimmed and styled. Maegann had to video parts of it all for her Honors work so it took a little longer. Once home I did some paid work and now Sparking before I get supper prepped and then spend time on my puzzle.

Happy New Year!

My husband's temp job ended on December 16th and a contract job started on the 17th. That worked out nicely. He's been listening to a Christian marriage program on the way to work or on the way home (Not exactly sure when) some days as his commute is an hour and 15 minutes each way. Says it has been making him think about the give and take of it all. I can see God working in full force in many ways. I am sure God is always doing this but at present it is more apparent.

Family doctor thinks it may do D21 good to take a semester off of school. I like that idea and hate that idea. I think she needs to reduce her stresses but at the same time without an outside schedule she will most likely not use her time wisely and will sleep more often than not. I don't want the responsibility of telling her to get up when there isn't a scheduled reason to do so. She wants to try going to school full-time so she can keep scholarships and not have to reapply and have to deal with the possibility of them being lowered. She also doesn't like the idea of going part time because it will take her twice as long to finish. She is going to the disability office on Monday for an intake visit to wrap up things on her side so the professors would have the info by the time the semester starts if she follows through with trying again.

I received a bread maker from my children for Christmas. Made white whole wheat pizza dough with it which went over well with everyone. Also made homemade rolls for New Year's Day. Now to get the sourdough starter going...

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Sounds like a nice way to ring in the New Year Dorothy.

We slept in this morning and then I did a few things around the house until it was time to go to the movie with Maegann. We went to see "Little Women". Tomorrow I have a hair trim and root retouch and then I really need to go through my work emails before I start putting Christmas decorations away inside the house. Got the majority of the outside stuff down today. Just lights left.

Janet - sounds like a busy day

Left work a bit early yesterday and spent some time with Michael. His and his girlfriend left to go to a party and then I took a nap and got up to ring in the new year. Just got back in from cleaning off the walks - we got some snow but not much. Going to get stuff put away in the house and out of the way for the new appliances.

Happiest of New Years to my very special friends.
