Hi All, Leanne funny you should tell of your quote about the change... That was another one I was attracted to. We must think some alike!

This has been a good month..so far 4.5 lb loss for now.... 2 month loss of 15 lbs in Spark and 33 lbs since I started to behave 16 weeks ago, and 71 lbs since my highest admitted weight. I am a happy camper!

I think I did not lose as much this month because I was not doing that 100 mile challenge!!! Now that moved some weight! Doing a Done Girl challenge this month. I said here I would drink water..aughhh I am so bad at drinking just plain water, but at least I started and working on it.

I am getting stronger and also losing inches. Sure wish more people would post on this group site. Surely somebody is out hiking! I only walk but I do dream. Shoe..you never said where you lived in GA, and if you did I did not catch it.

Hello Shoe and Everyone,

I live in Flint, MI and I'm walking distance from hiking, biking, and fishing. I bought my first home here in June. Thank you for the encouragement. I will get outside today. emoticon

Just get out there and hike. That's what I did. I hike very slow and eventually get to where I need to be.

Hello Shoe!

I love the picture of you on Springer Mt. It is a dream of mine to hike the AT. I have a long way to go, But I hold on to it anyway. I read Leslie "Gotta Hike" Mass's book, "May She Walk in Beauty" and was very inspired. I hope we can be good friends.

Well I haven't eaten any fast food or cheese dip and haven't been eating out. That is enough change for me 1 month. I am making healthier choices which I guess is the most important thing.

I haven't been working out. we are in the process of setting up our home gym. I went to work with my husband today and worked really hard scraping up old linoleum tile. I will defenitely be sore tomorrow emoticon

Went hiking in PA yesterday and it took alot of energy out of me. I know I probabaly should be holding off on the gym, but I can't.
If it doesn't get better this week than I will go back to the doctor.
How is the dieting going and working out? I am trying very hard to get my arms in better shape for the pull ups I will have to do next year in Southern Maine or the Whites. Strong upper body as well as lower body.

I am sorry to hear that you are still feeling bad.
Maybe you should should get some Vitamin B and some Zicam. emoticon
I guess yours ahas turned into something worse.
Prednisone never gave me an appetite either. I would take it easy at the gym. If you are still sick going to the gym may not be a good idea. You need all your energy to get better. Don't you have a hike in a few weeks?

I have been doing Ok. My appetite is not back to normal and I am still a little sick. They put me on a new med and predisone. Some people say the predisone should up start my appetite but I can't see it yet.
I have worked out everyday this week, but have not yet gotten back into weight lifting, as I have been so tired and can't seem to get out of bed in the morning to go to the gym, so I have been doing cardio at lunch time. I did the stair climber on Thursday and only lasted 15 minutes as I was really winded, and my chest was hurting, so I did 15 more minutes on the treadmill.

Keep up the good work with the food and no cheese dip............

Hi All, Hmmm Since y'all are not making a Challenge.. I think:

--I will continue to walk the longer distances I was
--I am doing another Monthly Challenge with another group that has exercises to do.. I will do it all.
--I am going to work harder to drink at least 4 glasses of water a day.
--This is start of my 4th month..and I am not going to have one mouthful of what I should not..so I can say I really tried to lose each week..doing the best with the way I am doing it right now.

Do you really think you can go without cheese dip ?
I would be proud to join you.

I will go to the gym everyday of the week. More stair climber, which by the way, I hate....
I will make health chioces when eating.
I will be better about loggin my food and exercise.

I need to hold myself accountable for what I eat so I am challenging myself during the month of September to do the following.
~ journal my food everyday
~ no fast food (unless it's a salad)
~ no cheese dip (this is going to kill me)

Anyone else want to join me..you can make your own goals for the month.
