I use it when I walk my dog. They also have mapmywalk and mapmyhike plus the mapmyrun. Set up your free account and enjoy!

Thanks! I have a fitbit flex and my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a health app so I use both. My son explained that my fitbit just counts steps when my arm is moving since it's worn on your non-dominant arm and believe me I notice the difference. My phone's app tracks actual steps and uses GPS to track your mileage. So I go by the fitbit numbers to make sure I get my 10,000 steps in but use my S Health App numbers for my actual miles. Crazy I know but that's what I'm doing.
I was having fits Saturday! Samsung updated the system and apps. Well, nothing was tracking right on my phone Saturday. By the time I saw my son I was ready to throw this new phone in the river. He gets all my grief when he comes over since he works at the Best Buy Store in mobile. He said not to worry that since they have a Samsung "store" inside all we have to do is take it in and the Samsung rep will install the update correctly. Apparently there's a problem with the updates not fully or properly installing. He fiddled around with my phone and it's working right again. The funny thing is I like to use my MapMyDogWalk App when I walk my dog just to see how long and far we walk, it wasn't working right either - it wasn't tracking how far I walked, it stopped half way in the walk but it was tracking the time. So strange. I was major stressed out. Now things are running smoothly (fingers crossed)
My son had a Shine Misfit or whatever it's called but lost it during one of the ice events we had while cleaning off the car. He's also had that Samsung "watch" activity tracker with the heart rate monitor but he couldn't wear it because of the heart rate monitor causing a reaction on his arm.

The link compares all the trackers and whether they are waterproof or not. (No, it does not compare the Spark Tracker.) I love to swim though, and may upgrade to a waterproof one.

After the comparisons, there are two good articles--The Monitored Man and What Your Tracker Sees and Doesn't See.

Enjoy!
