I learned that I actually like being organized and having a schedule. I use to run around like a chicken with my head cut off with no real direction or plans. Now I make to do lists and I find that I am getting a LOT done!!!!

I can talk myself right past the fast food place to the healthy food I already have at home...Even after 4 years I still hear "the call of the fried taco" when I'm super tired like tonight...But I didn't listennnnnnnnnn....

Today i learned that although delicious, cinnamon buns are not my friend even one was so sweet it gave me a headache.

Zozo ~ Me too.. I love salads that way, I am fuller for longer, and I lose more when I do it. I also like to snack with granola and whole grain things and things like apples (yay fiber). I've been staying in line with those things lately and am feeling super awesome! :)

I learned that I'm truly not alone and realize I'm a fighter, that can do whatever I put my mind to. For 5 years I let alot get to me and totally let myself go. But I realize now I can take that control back for me. I learned I'm a phenomenal woman and keep telling myself that everyday.

I've been a little hush hush about my efforts. Probably because deep down I don't want an audience to any failures.

Yesterday I heard innocent passing comments from people that made me feel like I'm not my old self. A friend that doesn't have much to lose said that with my workouts inspired her to start running again. My husband said that he prefers the tastes and variety of my "diet" cooking after eating one of my high-fiber/protein concoctions. And, the cashier at the grocery store asked how I cook kale (she's always wanted to try) and asked if I'm vegetarian (I buy massive amounts of produce to cook for the week on Sunday night).

I've been so wrapped up in focusing on the scale and coaxing the number down (and getting discouraged by it) that I negated that I'm actually acting like the person that I want to be and, in turn, people are treating me like I'm the person I want to be.

Yesterday, I learned that an audience to my efforts is important. I feel accountable. Those three comments yesterday make me feel like I would let my friend down if I stopped exercising, that my husband would be disappointed by non-nutritious cuisine, and I'd have to switch supermarkets if I were to start buying a bunch of junk food.

Basically, I've learned that I need to tell more people what I'm up to because having an audience means that I'm all kinds of reluctant to give up and I enjoy being treated like a person with healthy habits.

I learned that tea is my new best friend! I'm working on tea with no sugar or cream. Tea is great on it's own and dousing it with lots of extras hides the real flavors.

I also learned that working out makes me feel a sense of accomplishment!

That even though the scale is not moving as much as I would like I'm losing weight all over my body because today my mothers ring fell off with out me even knowing it .... thank goodness I found it still at work but I was panic stricken for a few moment

I learned two things. My body tells me everything I need to know--if a food makes my stomach upset then it's not something that should be in my diet, even if it tastes good (like the rich peanut butter treat I've been allowing myself lately). And the other thing is that if I take it one day at a time, I will see improvement. For the first time today, I saw some definition in my stomach. It's still mostly fat, but I have the capability to not be a blob anymore if I just push myself! And I've always had it in me, I just never wanted it enough!

I've learned that walking on my lunch break makes me feel so much better & less stressed for the rest of the day! Today was only my fourth day lunch walking but I already know this is one habit I'll be able to make stick!!

That I am smarter than I used to be and am IN this lifestyle FINALLY!!! I have been hitting it hard lately with fitness and today I felt really fatigued. I didn't push myself TOO hard, I did a bit, then stopped when I felt I wasn't strong enough to finish.. and it was great.

Also, today I planned out meals and such and had dinner at Taco Bell with my son... and STILL have 300 calories left for the day. Man!! I am really starting to get this thing... heck yeah!

I learned today that a nice long walk with the iphone cranked is a nice stress reliever! I walked 2.47 miles in 43 minutes and felt great! I left in a horrible mood and came home refreshed!

I learned that I binge eat to fill the time. For me food is also emotional , its a little luxary to buy food out. If I were thin I would buy a new shirt or shoes but since I don't wanna buy fat clothes . I buy food.

I learned that one of my major hang-ups has been worrying about doing everything for others and not leaving enough time in each day for me. But that's gonna stop... and I will realize that the world will still turn, and nobody will say I'm selfish if I take some ME time.

I'm listening to my body as to when it is really hungary.

I also am giving my body time to adjust to all that happened to it.

I've been listening my body's hunger cues and am learning to tell the difference between mental hunger and actual physical hunger. emoticon

actual physical hunger has actual physical symptoms (sounds like I'm stating the obvious but I only realized this recently). I feel weak, get lightheaded and my tummy grumbles. The mental hunger comes when I'm bored and comes with a feeling of restlessness.
