I just finished writing a blog entry and then I saw your post. I can relate to how you are feeling because I've been there. You can do this you just have to find what works for you and be patient with yourself. Most of all don't give up! Here is my blog:

Welcome to the team!!!

Just like the other fabulous ladies stated, music is definitely a mood setter for me. If you can, download the app Spotify. It has it's own workout music section with all different music genres to suit your needs. I can't stress it enough water, water and more water lol. Also, stay connected to Spark People it is such an amazing place not only for the interaction with others but for the knowledge the website provides in all aspects of getting healthy.

You can and will do this!

Because Today Is Another Chance To Get It Right.

You are not hungry, you are bored. Drink some water and learn the difference.

Thanks for the tips and encouragement! I am feeling better already today. Could be because the little man slept through the night, lol!
I am starting small with more water and getting my "walk away the pounds" video out from it's layer of dust!

I am feeling positive this morning and just want to keep that momentum going!

Exactly what the other 2 said. Just start with something small, and before you know it that one small step will snowball into massive progress. You can do it!

I agree with Meraina; music is such a huge help to me. I understand what you mean about not knowing where to start. I didn't either when I recently came back. I started by finding Spark Teams that I fit with, joined and started posting. I don't post a lot but I always get an answer when I do.

Remember that we didn't gain this weight overnight and we're not going to lose it overnight either. It's going to take time. Start small. There is no way that I can do an hour of exercise at a time right now, but I CAN do 10 minutes of exercise 6 times a day. If there's an exercise you just can't do, try to modify it...such as push ups. If ya can't do them on the floor, do them against a wall like I do.

That baby of yours will be walking before you know it and you're going to need to be able to keep up. Then you and the baby can work together by eating healthy and staying active.

Please keep us updated on your success and whatever you do, don't give up.

Darlin' Done Girl!
My best motivator is music! I crank up the tunes & dance! Crank it up while cleaning the house, doing laundry, dishes, Hand washing the car & cleaning the inside! I mean music... good upbeat jamin music will just make your feet itch to dance & move girl!
Start with small steps and do not try to "Do it all at once". It is easy to give up if you pile too much on your shoulders.
Replace one soda a day with a glass of water. In a week replace two sodas with water.
Make sure you eat veggies & fruits! These small steps will make you FEEL GREAT!

Good afternoon everyone!
I last logged into spark a week after I found out I was pregnant. That was exactly a year ago today. Now I have a healthy and *if I do say so myself* gorgeous 3 1/2 month old baby boy. I also have another 10lbs on my already obese body.
I clock in at 220 now. And at 5'2, that's shockingly overweight.
I feel so lost. I just can't wrap my mind around where to begin. Even though I know there are articles and everything on where to begin... I just feel like I need some personal advice.
What helped you guys get started??

I'm trying not to get depressed, I know that won't help anything, but right now, I am feeling desperate and scared. Scared of failure and scared of telling my husband I am even trying to do this again, because I'll see that glint of doubt in eyes. And why shouldn't he... I've failed every other time. He's supportive, don't get me wrong, it's me that beats myself up about letting everyone down, but to glom onto that old cliche.. I've got more than myself to worry about now, but there's guilt here because my son just isn't enough to get me started. I need help!!

Thanks!
