I have realized that my job allows me to write about what I want. So, instead of writing about anything, I now know to write about what "I" like...fitness and nutrition. I have an education in fitness and nutrition and am a Sparkpeople team leader. Makes sense? So, no more stress. Most of my co-workers write about sex and make more money. Sex sells. However, I keep my stuff clean. You are going to find me to be a much better person.

Can you believe it is New Year's Eve?

What are YOUR resolutions? I have an obvious one... to find a good man to share my life with.

I am so sick and tired of being around 2 girl roommates. Cooking for 2 girl roommates. Cleaning up after the 2 girl roommates. I want a member of the OPPOSITE SEX!

OK. I know. Compose myself.

I would like to get a new hairdo. My hair is finally growing longer but there is no style. If I would tease it like I used to, I would look like Gene Simmons. Can't be looking like Gene Simmons. LOL

Have a super evening and cheers!

Well, last night was a humdinger... Total anxiety. I worry about my family. I worry about work. I worry about exercise. I worry about what to prepare for dinner so that both roommates are satisfied. I worry about housework. I worry, worry, worry.

How are YOU?

I was told by accounting that the money I had set aside for Christmas needs to be used for other circumstances. Merry Christmas.

I have a job writing for a women's website and do several side hustles. My crafts are going to have to be completed in warp speed to make some extra money.

I opened up a tote crate today and found dressy winter clothes that I forgot I even had. The clothes were all gifts from Santa over the past few Christmas'. I will have nice clothes for church if my neighbor ever asks me to go. For some odd reason, the neighbor does not ask me to go to church anymore. I about passed out today though, cause she asked me to go to the church craft show on Thursday. I have no money to spend but it will be nice to get out and socialize. Fun fun.

The roommates' kitten tore into my knee. They acted like it was no big deal. The kitten can do no wrong.

Today I loaned a ton of Woman's World magazines from the local library. YEA! My favorite magazine. If I get anxiety, I can always read the anxiety away. When I go through magazines, I like to find the hidden gems as opposed to what the diet of the week is. Although, sometimes there are really neat diets.

Well, this is my dissertation for tonight. If you are up late, message me or something. I would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
ON_A_DIET

I have been attempting to take care of myself. If not, I will be of no use to my family or Mr. Right.

Joyce Meyer says in her book, "Look Great Feel Great", that if you saw a run-down church, you'd wonder about the pastor, right?

I am giving this team one more chance.

ďYou donít have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.Ē ~ Zig Ziglar

For many of usÖTODAY is the day that it all starts anew. For me, Sunday (the first) was hectic. I was at a theme park for the bulk of the day. While I accomplished over 13,000 steps (and almost 6 miles), I also had French fries and chicken strips, soda, some of my sonís cotton candy and funnel cake. I donít think the 2 things balanced each other out.

And then yesterday (the 2nd) we celebrated our Christmas. My mom had been in the hospital over the holidays having part of her foot amputated (not taking care of herself and having diabetes can cause this to happen Ė make a mental note!). We did open some gifts in the hospital, but waiting until she got home to do the dinner and the rest of the gifts.

That brings us to TODAY! New year. New month. New day. New start. But rememberÖ Sometimes itís best to start small. I joined the challenge on SP today ďThe 30 Day Small Changes ChallengeĒ. Iím hoping this will be a good start for me. I have already started one small change. And if I can keep it up for 30 daysÖIíll be extremely happy.

NO STARBUCKS!

I knowÖthat can be difficult for a lot of us. Fortunately for me, my local Starbucks has made it difficult for me to deal with them. Attitudes and other things. So today, I stopped at the store on my way to work. Purchased some sugar free cappuccino powder, some instant coffee packets and some sweet Ďní low. Everything totaled less than $10. Thatís less than only 2 cups of coffee at some fancy coffee shop. Can you imagine the amount of savings if I only have to purchase the supplies 1 more time in the next 30 days? And letís not forget about how many calories Iím saving by making my own. Not having all that sugar in there!

The point? Remember to start, even if itís just starting small.

We can do this! emoticon

Have a blessed day!

ďEven if you fall on your face, youíre still moving forward.Ē ~ Robert C. Gallagher

How many New Years have come and gone and each time itís the same thing. ďThis year Iím focusing on losing weight!Ē You go strong for 3, 4, 5, or 6 weeks. ThenÖ BOOM!! Something happens and you slip right back into the same old routine.

- Itís Valentineís Day. This 10,000 calorie steak dinner isnít going to be THAT bad. Iíve been doing so good. I deserve this treat.

- St. Patrickís Day. A little green beer and corned beef never really hurt anybody.

- Easter is here! Itís totally ok that Iím eating the mini candies and marshmallow treats that Iím stuffing in the kids plastic eggs.

The problem is that itís not just these days that shake us up. I believe if it WAS just these special occasions, we wouldnít do the yo-yo thing as much.

So maybe we just take it one day at a time.
- Today Iíll make a healthy lunch
- Today Iíll walk around the block
- Today Iíll use that gym membership Iíve been paying for and swim a few laps.
- Today Iíll prep my dinners for the week and make sure to include salads and fresh veggies.

There are so many things that we can do. I received this in my email this morning and I think it could come in pretty handy!
