I think I'm feeling several of those all at the same time. Maybe my nickname should be Spaz.

Ready for February - been really busy the last couple weeks in January. Ready to slow down.

Going out to lunch with my girlfriends today and I have already been thinking about what I should eat.

Sounds like everyone has been busy also - let's make it a great weekend.

Good Morning!

Laura-I'm excited for February Leap! And I'm glad you will be using FOCUS! My word of the year!

Kim- HUGS for you! As you the real craziness begins for you, remember to take time to breathe!

Brenda-Yes! We want to hear everything about the baby shower! So exciting!

Jules-I joined your walking challenge as well, a little late but it's never too late to start, right? There is no way I could walk for 20 minutes straight right now. I can stand and exercise for that long though. Walking is hard with my knee. I know one of these days I will have to get it replaced but not for awhile due to $$. Hoping it will feel better as I lose weight though.

Tracy-I'm sure you will be happy to get the work move done. I hate working in a mess! And so happy for little Hudson! I get what you mean about the $$. The specialist called me yesterday for the appt and gave me the estimate .....$2000!!!! I about crapped my pants! I have a little bit in my emergency fund but not that much! Might have to be calling my mom for a loan. UGH! And now I have to get it done because the dang thing hurts. And my appt isn't until March. So frustrating!

We had a little snow overnight but they are saying upper 40s for the weekend. Should be a nice slushy mess then! Hope everyone has a great weigh in and weekend. Let's LEAP into February with some passion and kick this extra weight to the curb! WE CAN DO IT!!

Hang in there Kim. You have the strength to get through this. Just hug those little buggers any chance you can get. They will help see you through this.

Beverly - many prayers. Just remember that most of what we worry about never actually comes to be. You got this! I'm sure once it is done, you will be glad you did it.

Brenda - I'm so excited for you. We will want all the baby shower details. It is amazing all of the things they have for babies these days. Can we start calling you granny now?

Tracy - I understand the budget crisis. Had one going last year before I got this new job. It will have a way of working itself out. Hang in there and I'm sure you will find a solution soon.

Everyone else - HOWDY and TGIF!!

Silly me this morning - got to work and realized that I had spent a lot of time last night on Sparks (prepping for the Feb boards) and then totally spaced actually updating the current threads. I promise to get to that when I get home. All of my links are on my personal laptop and not my work one.

In case you are wondering - Jules gave me the inspiration for the February boards by pointing out that it is leap year. So we will be taking a Leap of Love in February. Another key word you will see me use is FOCUS. So be looking for the new threads tomorrow, deck out your SparkPages and let's take that leap together!

May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.

Brenda, yep yuck to tax season. I wonder every year why do I do this to myself? Then I remember, I do enjoy it most of the time. Nooo to loosing all your recorded shows that stinks! Dougís has been out for over a month. We are at a standstill, he thinks I should call and I told him too. I know I will end up calling but until I find the time, he can deal with me recording 2 things at a time and having to watch one of them lol

Laura, I hope by today hubby is feeling better. I hate it when Doug is sick, he is the biggest baby in the world.

Wendi, I am jealous I wish I could sleep 7 hours. I am lucky if I get 5 at the most a night.

Tracy That is awesome! I am so glad to hear that Hudson is going to get his wish!

Hi Jules, I joined the next walking challenge with you my dear. We can do this a little at a time my dear!

I went and seen my mom at 7 in the morning yesterday, only time I can go is either really early or really late in the day. Momís legs are seeping. So bad that she had a pool of water around her on Wed. Yesterday they had got her up and put dressings on her legs. They finished with her at 6:30, by the time I got there at 6:50, she had already seeped through the dressings they had put on her and her pants were soaked. They said that the doctor changed her meds to see if it helps but if not, I am guessing she ends up back in the hospital. At one moment, she knew I was her daughter but didnít know my name, the next she new my name. I am so not ready for this up and down.

I did go and pick up the boys after work. They are truly my sanity in this craziness! We had a great evening playing, dancing and watching tv. We are going to be watching them again tomorrow evening, the kids are going out on a date. I canít wait. Love those little buggers. Have a great day ladies!

Today I got in exercise helping my mom. I watered, swept, cleaned, picked up and put away. Her house looks good so she can relax. She's finishing up crocheting a baby blanket and her hands hurt. I might have to help her tomorrow.

Good luck on weigh in tomorrow!

emoticon Hi everyone

sorry, on the run, will try to catch up more this weekend!

Miss Bee - ooh, baby shower & stuff... imagine it will be all wonderful!

emoticon Beverly, yes, good idea to call doc... Mom had that surgery... and it was worth it.... I think the waiting on anything medical is so hard - keep doing things to help you de-stress it... we also can't wait to hear you are on the otherside and having a good recovery - it's going to be so worth it... (hugs)

emoticon so was offline yesterday, long hallways to walk and lots of waiting and other stuff and it was tough, I was so tuckered. I need to continue with my goal to walk 10 mins a day, for sure..... I am still in hobble/wobble mode, and I just really need to keep at it...

emoticon so sharing my 10+ minutes walk challenge for the next 6 days (missed yesterday). The 30 day SP challenge suggests 20 mins, so I will work on increasing as able this week... with a minimum of 10 at 1 walking episode, increase bymaybe adding another 5 minutes once or twice a day, and work towards 20 minutes at once. If you're interested in joining me, here's the next 6 days link. Cheers :)

We found out last night that Make-a-Wish foundation granted Hudson his wish to meet some princesses at the castle in Disneyland. He requested to meet Rapunzel, Cinderella and I can't remember the third! So the family will be getting to go to Disneyland.. super happy for him (and them)!

One week until our office move. Cannot wait. It's hard working out of boxes and so much clutter around. Today they sold our fridge....so it will be a little inconvenient with foods for the next week. but i'm really looking forward to our new space and it will be so close to home! about 1 mile emoticon (well instead of 3 miles..lol) But the best is that I won't have to commute over the bridge which is notorious for accidents weekly. Will be nice that I can go home for a real lunch break.

Realized that I'm super hormonal this week. Out of balance. Super tired, irritable, cranky and ravenously hungry for no reason. So just trying to get through it without total destruction of my progress.

Root canals....yuk! I currently need 2-3 of them but just cannot afford it. I wish dentists were more affordable. It's not like I'm asking for plastic or cosmetic surgery.

I hope everyone has a great day!!

Hey everyone!

My schedule was thrown off yesterday with the rising at 4am to get the boy off to the bus by 5am. But I slept really good last night! Over 7 hours! That hasn't happened in a very long time! I feel good this morning and have accomplished a few things already! Hope everyone is doing well! Gotta get to work! Have a good one!

Found out yesterday that our main DVR died (lost all of our recorded shows). They sent out a new one today, so i installed that. After that, I went to Costco, UPS store, Dollar Tree, JoAnn Fabrics and Target! Got everything I needed before the baby shower....only 3 more days!

Kim - Yikes...tax season! I need to do mine before my grandbaby comes! I hope it doesn't drive you to drink! LOL

Beverly - I'm glad you feel better about having the surgery. It makes me nervous having them, but better to fix us up!

Wendi - Sorry about not getting your root canal finished... that's a bummer. I'm still in the ever-so-long process of getting my permanent tooth put in. Soon!!

Today I made my WW chili, did some chores and ran a few errands. More of the same tomorrow! Such an exciting life... LOL

Hi everyone!

Another busy day! Went in for the root canal and the dentist wasn't able to finish because there was a canal that he couldn't get to that was under my crown. So now I have to go to a specialist to have it finished. Really don't need this but I guess it is what it is. Now I'm trying to catch up on stuff for the business. Jack is gone for basketball today. I didn't go as wasn't wanting to drive 2 hours there and 2 hours back by myself. He can live without me there for 1 game! I have bible study anyway tonight and they won't get back until 9pm. Then he has to be at the school at 5 am for band. Their band (Jim Hill Middle School) was chosen as the governor's band for this year so they are off to play for the state of the state address in Grand Forks (about 3 1/2 hours away). It is pretty cool that they were selected and it will be a cool thing for them but I am not looking forward to Thursday because he will be so tired and crabby by then! I might be too if I have to get up and take him at 5 in the morning!!

Well I hope everyone is having a good day!

Beverly, donít let this surgery keep you awake at night my dear. And donít second guess yourself. It sounds as though this is something you need to do. Maybe calling the doctors office will help get rid of some of your anxiety. I am thinking about you my dear friend.

Jill, you are so right when your babies have babies you are wrapped up in those little nerds. They are truly the best things we have ever done arenít they??? I mean we let our children live long enough to give us the joy of grandbabies. LOL Totally kidding here.

Tracy, look on Amazon, you can get a new heating element for a little of nothing and they are super easy to change. That is probably what the issue is. It will be way less than the $100.

Hi Wendi, Sounds like your boys are keeping your hopping. Good for you for remembering to take some ďyouĒ time.

Brenda, I canít wait to see that baby wrapped up in that blanket! I think I am about as excited as you are lol.

Not much going on in my world just taxes, taxes and yea more taxes. Itís that time. So glad I meal planned on Sunday though. Made my evening a lot nicer getting home at 8 last night. I really donít like eating so late though. But, it is what it is right? Have a great day ladies!

Hello! It seems like an extra busy time for everyone! We'll all have to take some time to decompress this week!

I finished the baby blanket today! Now all I have to do is wrap everything up. I also helped my sister tie a bunch of bows this afternoon for some prizes and treats for the baby shower. Only 5 more days until the fun!

Tomorrow I'm going to finally sort the last few bins of Christmas that I want to donate. The garage needs to be cleaned up from it (finally!!)

Enjoy the last week of January! Where did the time go??

Hey everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA! It just got so busy with running around here. This week we have something every night of the week. Mostly basketball games. It's not far to go just takes time. And we are usually back so we can enjoy our evenings.

Over the weekend I got my bathrooms cleaned good and most of the main floor cleaned. Still have the spare bedroom which is the catch all and the files in my office. I'm feeling better though with it being clean and organized around here. So much easier to get things done.

I did get a workout done this morning and I'm really trying to stay on track this week so I get a good loss. Been getting in lots of water and keeping close to my calorie range. It'll come.....just gotta keep plugging.

Hope everyone is well. Will try and get caught up on everyone's posts and try and stay on top of it for me too. If I don't do this right away in the morning I have a hard time finding time to do it. Have a great one all!

Popping in to say happy Monday! I haven't read posts from the weekend yet...hope to catch up later on that.

I spent most of last week working on packing up my files and emptying the filing cabinets for our move in a couple of weeks. I still have one more cabinet to do, but I need to take it slower as I strained by back last week. emoticon

I did drive some on Saturday, but only morning - early afternoon. My back was just hurting a enough that I needed to cut it short. Since payment for the rides is done automatically through the Uber app, I don't have to collect payment.

My eating was good and to plan last week, except for Friday it unraveled. I was really tired and stressed in the afternoon and ended up hitting the candy bowl at work. Not good as it set off cravings that send the whole day into the ditch. I think I'm back on track so I'm hoping to do better today.

I think our oven died! Stovetop still works, but the element in the oven freaked out and isn't working. I cannot even deal with that until next month. I have to figure out our financial situation. Because I'm still not working enough hours driving we have still be using credit to make ends meet and those sources are running low. So I need to get a grasp and figure out what I can do. For the oven we can use the American Home Shield again, which saved us with the water heater..but still need to have the $100 service fee. This might be the year of new appliances...lol

I hope everyone had a good weekend and has a great Monday!

I did so much with and for my 3 boys that I was really concerned when they finally all moved out but it does get easier and soon they have children and you are wrapped up in the grandbabies and the cycle of life goes on. My husband and I really enjoy our alone time now.

Kim the lady does sound fascinating. Love the preplanning and I really need to get some meals precooked.

Brenda every week is closer to baby time. Blankets made by grandma will become a treasured heirloom. Wish I could sew or crochet but not one of my sills.

Lisa you have got this this week. Hate how I let company derail me every time.

Laura you will have something great for February I am sure. You never disappoint.

Beverly hoping the surgery will be a success and give you relief.

Where or where are Dee, Wendi, and Tracy.

I tell ya ladies that little lady is truly fascinating. I am hoping next time I get to go that I can pull momís chair over so they can gab. She is so interesting that is for sure.

Jules, Love your sunflower quote! I wrote it in my journal.

Stephanie, Ah the empty nest syndrome. You know, I honestly thought I was going to take it horribly hard when the kids moved out but strangely, I didnít. I thought about everything I taught them and I knew that they were ready to spread their wings and fly. I am so incredibly proud of my children. Funny how we raise them to someday leave us and when that day comes we fight it tooth and nail. I am sure you will soon find your new normal and will love having a empty nest. I love that hubby and I finally got to connect and learn to be us without the children. So much of our lives revolved around them I was honestly worried we wouldnít make it when they were gone. But here we are kicking it and still hanging strong. Take time to reconnect with your hubby. Enjoy spending time just being you for a bit. And take every minute you get with them and embrace it.

Brenda, I would love to see the blanket you are making. I made the boys several when they were born. And I have to threaten my son all the time not to throw them away. He is anal about his house. And not sentimental at all.

Lisa, Tracy, Laura, Beverly Hello Ladies.

I meal prepped yesterday, I made the meatballs Laura shared (thank you so much), Brown Sugar Cinnamon Pork Chops, Chili, Egg Roll in a bowl, Philly Cheesesteak in a bowl. A gallon of green beans, steamed carrots, cut up fruit. Made Yogurt for breakfast for the week. My 12+ hours start today so all hubby has to do is get it out of the fridge and heat it up. Funny thing, I forgot in all this meal prepping to make things easy to take for lunch so I will be making chicken salad this morning. LOL Have a fabulous day today ladies.

I worked on the baby blanket all day Friday and am hoping to finish tomorrow. Saturday we did some shopping with my mom and sister, then went out to dinner at Outback. Today we hung out again and worked 2 puzzles, then had dinner together (WW turkey chili!). Back to finishing the baby stuff this week!

Kim - Super interesting stories from your mom's roommate!

I'm back to the gym this week to push off some weight!

Hello friends! I'm sorry I've been MIA so much this week. I spent my first week in my empty nest cleaning out closets and staying busy. Jacob came home for the weekend, and he left this afternoon around 2:00. Laken and Baizley are visiting with us Tuesday, and I'm looking forward to that. I can say one good thing about having an empty nest is not having junk food around all the time. I haven't had a soda, tea, or any other sugary drink in a week. All I've had is water, and I already feel SO much better.

Wendi - That's wonderful about Tyler's job. I've never heard of sloppy joes called slushburgers. I love that!

Tracy - Awesome news about the $140! Do you ever have trouble with customers not wanting to pay? I'm so sorry about little Hudson's heart. (((HUGS))) I'm glad his mom decided to reconnect with you and your husband.

Beverly - Continued prayers for you and your upcoming surgery! (((HUGS)))

Laura - I can't wait to find out what you have up your sleeve for February! I have no doubt it will be amazing.

Brenda - I'm so excited for all of you! Those five weeks will fly by! How is your DIL's mother doing? Better, I hope.

Jill - I really need to look into purchasing an air fryer because I've come across a ton of recipes I want to try. I bet the pork chops are delcious.

Jules - Way to go on the exercise! Keep it up! Your posts are so inspiring!

Kim - That is so cool about your mom's roommate! I looked her up online, and she's lived an incredible life.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Stephanie

Just dropping by for a minute. I met mom's roommate tonight. She is usually asleep. But I went in and asked if there was anything I could bring her and she said a million dollars. LOL Then she started talking and wow is she ever interesting! She was Miss Great Britain 1951. Came to America because Bob Hope wanted her to do the USO show with him. So she was in Vietnam with him and the USO. Was engaged to Jim Denny the manager of The Grand Ole Opry. Got to know Elvis on his first and only time on the Opry, they wouldn't allow him to sing Rock and Roll so he tanked terribly. Johnny Cash asked her out on a date and Porter Wagoner gave her a jacket for Elvis to wear. She went on and on and I started thinking she was full of pooh ya know? Then right as I was walking out the door she said google me. My stage name is Marlene Dee. and I will be danged if she wasn't telling me the truth. You can see her singing at the Grand Ole Opry. Blew me away. I can't wait to go back and chat with her some more.

I'm off to bed. Just wanted to share my little run in with a celebrity.

Good morning, friends. Sorry to be MIA the past few days. Been working through this empty nest phase by staying busy. I started tackling Matthew's closet Tuesday, and it's kept me busy all week. It looked like a bomb went off in there. Ugh. Boys are so gross. LOL. Jacob is coming home for the weekend, and I'm looking forward to seeing him. I'll come back Monday morning and catch up on the posts. Have a great weekend! Hugs and love to all!

Thanks Jill, I can totally relate with your friend. I am honestly trying to figure out how I am going to get it all done this year. I have payroll for the stores that takes up 3 hours on Mondayís. I have to go onsite to a client once a week. And I am NOT compromising my time with the boys. That is just not going to happen. So I think, I am going to start taking clients earlier in the morning and maybe a little later in the evening. That or work some on Sundays. And I really do not want to do that. I have to have a day to decompress.

Wendi, I will get with Kaitlyn and get her schedule as to how they do it. I wasnít late yay me. I left work early to get them on time. Leo broke my heart though. He was still on his cot I thought he was asleep but he was awake and so I went to pick him up and he looked at me so sad and said ďIím wetĒ he was devastated. He is newly potty trained and I guess he had a accident. Well let me tell you I scooped that baby right up in my arms hugged him tight then took him and changed his clothes before we left. I didnít give one care that he was wet or that I was going to get wet. I am getting emotional just typing this. He is so proud of himself for going potty that when he has a accident it devastates him.

Hi Jules! I am doing my best to chase down the person I want to be. But man she is slippery and sly. Lol

Brenda, I am right there with ya I didnít loose anything this week.

Have a fabulous day my dear friends. Itís finally FRIDAY

emoticon Hi everyone!

emoticon Love the Lion mirror pic! Roar!

it always surprises me how much strength/ability we can lose when we're knocked off our feet... when I was a teenager, I recovered/improved rapidly... decades later, not nearly so fast... blarghÖ.

emoticon this is day 2 of my 10 min walk week, and my muscles at the hip are ouchy even! the article in 30 day challenge for day 2 mentions an ITB syndrome which includes weak hip muscklesÖ when I was in the hospital, they wanted me to lift my hips... I was on iv pain meds and remember giggling and saying don't think so.... they rolled me & moved me around and I remember thinking, well, I don't want this to be my life (and I so don't want to need anyone to help me!) so... the challenges. I want to be able to walk, reach, bend, lift, stand up - and I want to be able to do it without moanin & groaning! LOL

this is me startin' though...

on the run, hope to catch up this weekend! methinks u all rock! emoticon

Good Morning!

Brenda-hope your son's MIL is ok. They don't need that stress right now! I'm sure all the baby things you are making are super cute! So fun! I can feel your excitement! Oh and wonder woman I am not......more like I got my cape but keep tripping on it! lol! I try!

Kim- We don't usually "make" the meals just serve them but the gal who usually does it was out of town. However, she is retiring so I'm guessing it will eventually get pushed onto us. I don't mind though. I kind of enjoy it but it is work! Yes, I would love some tips from your daughter. It is hard to plan sometimes. Now be on time so you don't get in trouble with Luke! lol!

Jules-way to go! You can do it!

Jill- we always called them slush burgers growing up. It is a regional thing. North Western ND/North Eastern Montana. It is a big joke now because most people call them sloppy joes.

Beverly- Hi!

Laura- your pic made me think of this one:

Ok Jules I signed up for both challenges. emoticon Ready to go

Wendi I love sloppy joes. Never heard of them as slush burgers before. That is interesting

Kim wishing you strength to get through the next 12 weeks. One of my best friends owns her own tax business and she gets buried during this time.

Brenda hope the mil is doing better and the kids can focus on themselves and arrival of baby.

Happy Thursday to all of you

Stephanie, where are you hiding?

Dee, come back. I miss you two.

Wendi, No boys yesterday. I talked to mommy and she told me that they were asking where I was and she told them I was picking them up today. So Lukie told her to set a alarm so he will know if I am late. LOL You know according to him, I was almost 2 minutes late. Plus Missy got off early yesterday and I want to take advantage of all my play time. I got them remote control cars to play with though. Yep I am in trouble with the parents again. LOL How often do you make big meals for Church? I could ask my daughter for different ideas for you if you would like. She has a food kitchen and they cook 3 times a day 6 days a week to feed the homeless. Not sure what they make but she may have some different ideas if your interested?

Tracy, that breaks my heart for little Hudson. I wish there was something easy to fix it. Dear lord, the thoughts of moving makes me sick to my stomach. Amazing what you accumulate in a short period of time isnít it?

Brenda, ditto to what Jill just said. Grandchildren bring a totally different kind of love into your heart. There is nothing like seeing your child holding their child. Dear lord I am about crying here just typing this. But itís true. Canít wait to hear what they name the little guy. How is your sonís mother in law? That is scary.

Jill I havenít made pork chops in my air fryer yet. We mostly grill them, I will have to try that. No babies last night but they are ready for today that is for sure Lukie has a alarm set on me. I am going to surprise him and be there before the alarm goes off. Little nerd.

Jules, I am so glad you are back. You are always so upbeat and happy. I will join you walking! I got 20 minutes in yesterday and 15 in thusfar todayI am making a effort to get my 250 steps 11 hours today as well.

Beverly, You will be running soon after your surgery. I have not a doubt.

Happy Friday Eve Laura. This is my last happy one for a while. Starting next week, I have to start working Saturdays again BOO not looking forward to that at all. But itís a short period of time right?

So let me tell you how truly clueless the bosses daughter is. She invited all of us to her house for a baby shower for a co-worker on Feb 15th at 4pm um did someone forget to tell her that is smack dab in the middle of hell? I think someone forgot. Mind you I would love to go. And may change the office hours that day so we can all go but, itís an hour drive for us to get there so that would mean closing the office 2+hours early. Which is really okay by me but um tax season here lol.. Her heart is in the right place though. And she is having a girl so I get to make Little girl stuff with my cricut! Needless to say I am going to send her something if we donít get to go.

Hello!
emoticon

Busy day working on baby things, then went with my mom and sister to look at a house (my sis wants to buy). My son's MIL had to be taken to the hospital for not breathing well...she lives with my son and DIL. I hope she's okay - lots of stress for them at the end of the pregnancy.

Kim - Hope your day went well and you got to have some fun with your kiddos. My kids have a few names and haven't made a final decision! I guess we'll find out when he's born!

Wendi - Good for you for making the food for church as well as everything else you do...Wonder Woman!

Tracy - Poor little Hudson! I hope he gets a transplant soon! Good luck with your packing!

Jill - Now you've made me hungry for pork chops! Now I'll have to try them in my air fryer!

Jules - What surgery did you have? Hope you heal quickly! I joined the 30 day challenge and your one week challenge! I'm going to try... let's get moving!

Beverly - Wishing you a successful surgery!

Laura - Always love your monthly challenges! Thank you!

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Jill- we are making the whole meal. We feed mainly kids/families who come for Wednesday night activities. So I'm doing slushburgers(sloppy joes) and tator tots, oranges and cookies! Another gal made the cookies so that helps. I'll make the tator tots when i get to the church. We usually serve 40-50 people

Tracy so sorry for Hudson. Hope for the best for him.

Brenda (eeks) only 5 weeks. I am so excited to see pictures of this beautiful baby. Prepare your heart because even though you love him dearly now just wait until you see and hold that precious boy.

Wendi what are you making for Church tonight? I am always looking for potluck options.

I did the pork chops in my air fryer last night and they were fabulous. Served them with a salad.

Laura I am sure whatever you do for February will be wonderful. You are so appreciated here. Can't wait to see what you and Jules came up with.

Kim hope you get them boy hugs today. You have been so busy and dealing with a lot of stress.

Happy Hump Day!

Hudson's heart only has 1 valve. They have done many surgeries to redirect the "plumbing" so to speak, but it is getting weaker and can only be saved by a transplant. So it's a waiting game. So I don't often talk about the (step) kids (in their 30's and 20's) because they have been estranged for many years. The eldest, Jessica (Hudson's mom) only reconnected with hubby last year. All the other kids are still estranged, which I'm totally fine with because they aren't very nice people. I'm grateful that she decided to reach out so that hubby can finally have some kind of relationship with a grandchild.

We're starting to pack the office for our big move on Feb 6th. I have 10 yrs worth of junk in my desk that I need to sort, purge or pack....let alone my work stuff. Funny how much stuff ends up here as it's like a home away from home kind of...lol

Hard to believe that January is just about over .....time is flying by! I hope everyone has a great day! emoticon

Good Morning !

Laura- I know what you mean. It is crazy how fast the days go! Excited to see what you come up with for February!

Brenda- SO CLOSE!!! I'm so excited for you! I think that little boy is going to be spoiled like crazy!

Kim- hope you get a dose of those boys today!

Tracy- nice on the $140. Glad you got to spend some time with your grandson.

I have to prep the food for our meal tonight at the church and still get some work done before I go to serve it. So I better get moving! Have a great day all!

Bless your heart Beverly. I am sure that is a pain the patoookie literally. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that it fixes the issue for you.

Tracy, how did I not know you had a grandson? And 4 years old! They are so fun at that age! I hate to hear that he has a bad heart thought. That breaks my heart. Is it something that can be fixed? Sorry if you have told us this before I guess I didnít pay attention.

Laura, I am right there with you my dear! I tell ya I have been so busy that I didnít realize itís the end of January. I need about 20 more hours in the days right now. I am finally maybe starting to see the light with these financials with the stores I have 3 of them done and 3 more to go. And people calling daily for us to do their books, I am turning them away! Never thought we would be doing that.

Brenda, 5 more weeks. I was totally jumping up and down for you. LOL Seriously I canít wait to see pictures. I am sure he is going to be precious. Do they have a name picked out yet? You may have said but I am getting forgetful. That or too many things going on in my brain and itís dead

I think I am going to do my best to get off early today to get my boys. If not, tomorrow is going to be the day for sure I have it marked out already. I am in need of little boy hugs. Have a great day my dear friends.

Hi all! I'm so busy right now...only 5 weeks until our grandson is born and 1 week until the baby shower! Finished a baby aviator hat for him and am working on a "blankie". Got to get done!

Sounds like you're all busy. Sending prayers to all who are going through trials in life.

Many prayers Beverly that all goes well. You have had your share of procedures so lets hope this is a mild one for you. At least they were able to figure out the cause. Take care my friend.

This month is flying by fast. I just realized that we are 10 days away from Feb. Got some excellent ideas from Jules for Feb. If anyone has any other ideas, let me know.

Just a couple more days to make a difference this week. How are we doing?

Popping in for a quickie...will hang out more later this afternoon

I haven't had an issues with my Uber/Lyft passengers - not really. Only on the occasion that I drive late on holidays - more alcohol = more obnoxious...lol Now if I lived in a big city it would be different too. Saturday I ended with two good trips. A couple drove over from Seattle area to go skiing at Stevens Pass but there was no parking available so they drover over to Leavenworth. I then took them from Leavenworth up to the pass and then ended up picking them back up later. Granted from my home to pick them up was 1 1/2 hour drive! But I made $140, which was sweet.

Sunday we went and visited grandson with the bad heart. He is such a cutie and so full of life! Love them at that age, he's 4. We then went out for appetizers with some other friends before coming home. Spent 6 hours on the road Sunday.

Needless to say my system was really messed up yesterday and I felt icky. From being in the car so much and not eating balanced meals. It really drove home how much better I have been doing.

Hey everyone! Geez! I don't know where the time goes. Tyler was home for the weekend so enjoyed visiting with him. He is doing SO much better. He started this semester online and so far is liking his classes and doing his homework. All while working a full 40 hour per week job. He got a job with the census and is making $19/hour. He is guaranteed a job until at least August so that should help get him out of the hole and feeling better. He is busy and I think that is a good thing.

So no school yesterday and that just always throws my routine. I need to be better about that. Back to it today though. Not too bad for activities this week, 2 basketball games on Thursday but next week he has games M,T,TH & F! Need to get my crockpot going that week.

Jill-glad you enjoyed your Vegas trip. Yes, I'm still working out. Today I did upper body with weights. Makes me feel strong! Tomorrow I will be whining cause I'm sore!

Kim-so sorry about the whole mess with your mom. I get your frustration! Hang in there!

Laura- I wish I could fall asleep during a root canal. I don't think they are bad, I just hate sitting for so long with my mouth open!

Stephanie- sounds like a great weekend but I'm right there with you on the crying thing! It is hard but we are so glad they are strong enough to go for their dreams!

Hey Brenda, Beverly, Tracy & Lisa! emoticon

Well I better get some work done. Have a great day!!

Hello friends. I'm sorry I've been MIA the past few days. Matthew, Laken, and Baizley were here this weekend, and we moved Jacob into his dorm room yesterday. I managed not to cry, but when Matthew, Laken, and Baizley left this afternoon I broke down and cried like a baby. I'm truly happy for my kids, and I'm SO excited for these new phases of their lives, but that doesn't make this empty house hurt any less. I know it will get better, and I'm looking forward to this new phase of my marriage because Shawn and I have things we want to do as a couple again. Right now I just miss my boys.

Anyway ...

Laura - I'm ashamed to say I haven't weighed since the first initial weigh-in. Ugh. I guess I'll bite the bullet and do that tomorrow morning. I'm sorry the weather has been so crazy your way. Stay safe!

Kim - Congrats on that loss! You're doing great! That is SO sweet what Lukie said about you being two minutes late picking them up. LOL. I love it! I had such a wonderful time getting my Baizley snuggles this weekend. She is the most precious baby ever. I'm sorry Ron and your sister aren't being helpful with your mom. I totally understand about the responsibilities falling on you. I have four brothers and none of them help with our parents. Two of them moved out of state so they wouldn't have to deal with them, and the other two live in the community, but they hardly ever come around. Continued prayers for you! (((HUGS)))

Wendi - Ouch! I'm sorry you have to have a root canal. That's definitely no fun. ((HUGS)) to you.

Tracy - Do you have problems with any of your Uber customers? I don't think I could ever do something like that because I'm such a scaredy cat. People are just so unpredictable nowadays.

Lisa - Have you tried out the new recumbent bike yet? Let us know what you think about it.

Beverly - I'm sorry if you've mentioned it and I missed it, but what kind of surgery are you having?

Jill - I'm glad you had such a great trip to Vegas. I've always wanted to go there. My husband loves to people watch too. Whenever we go to a restaurant he has to sit where he can see everyone. He can't stand having his back turned to them.

Hey Brenda! *waving*

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Stephanie

Thanks ladies I truly appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

Lisa, sorry work is a pain right now. And you totally need to spend time with your Mother in Law.

Laura, you my dear are a rock star if you fell asleep during a root canal. I canít imagine. And you deserve a day of down time. Enjoy yourself.

Beverly, boy you said it there being the responsible one is truly a pain in the butt! You are in my thoughts my dear. Best wishes for your surgery.

Jill, Welcome back Sounds like you had a great time in Vegas You sound like my hubby he loves to people watch. I think he would Love Vegas. Is the huge brested lady still walking around? My co-worker had to get her picture with her the boobs were bigger than Amyís head lol Yep the 27th is the first day to file but we have been doing returns. They are just ďon holdĒ till we can efile them.

Met with Momís care team today and I really want to just slap some people. Mainly my sister and my motherís husband. How can people be so truly stupid? Seriously. STUPID doesnít even compare to these two. They asked my mom what her goal was and of course she said to go home. But that is just not feasible. Ron says she has to come home, I need to take care of her. SERIOUSLY you canít take care of yourself let alone her. This is why she is there. Plus the fact that she has dementia and sooner than later she wonít know who you are. He literally told her he was going to go downstairs but would be right back and 2 seconds later she starts asking where he is. Insurance has decided to do therapy if she will cooperate. If she doesnít then itís hospice. I guess itís one or the other. But not both. And Ron was suppose to turn in the papers for medicaid but they are saying he hasnít GRR. I canít do that piece of it. He has too. So who knows. Aggravating. And I seriously canít stand being around my illiterate sister. She canít wear clothes that fits so you see half of her butt. I told her daughter I was going to buy her some clothes that fit. I told her I was sick of seeing it to pull her pants up and she says I donít wear a belt a belt wonít fix the issue. Oh sorry off on a rant.

Frustrated can you all tell? Have a great rest of the day, I am off to cook a healthy dinner with veggies in it.
