Kim: I have also had crying jags from missing my grands. Our governor is talking about missing his 24 grandchildren right now on his daily news conference. Itís heart wrenching. You are so blessed to have a wonderful Bonus Daughter. Itís amazing watching our kiddos raising our grand-treasures (even when they are stinky boys!)
Laura: I have been on SP since June 2010. Sadly, Iíve been up and down twice in this 10 year period and find myself at my heaviest ever right now. I need to find a way of life that I do not have to stop. A life of habits that are supportive all the time, not a diet.
Jill: I agree with your granddaughter, that cough in this situation is scary. I hope you feel better every day.
Brenda: I love the term ďfun on a bunĒ but dealing with termites must suck. Good thing you are headed to the Maldives with us! We did say no men allowed, didnít we?

Jill I am so very glad to hear that you donít have ĎRonaí and I hope you get to feeling better soon! Ding dang allergies are the worst!

Brenda, my stinky boys are as their mother says ďliving their best livesĒ. They donít have to go to ďschoolĒ they get to play at home most of the day. Mommy still makes them do school work she has been so good at keeping them busy in the mornings. Itís amazing what they have done with her. She is such a great mother. I am blessed that we have her that is for sure. Those two little boys are fabulous that is for sure.

Hi Everyone!
emoticon
I've been bagging up the food in our house. We're tenting it from Mon to Wed for termites. We're taking our kitty and staying at Mom's, but Mike will have to work from my sister Belinda's house for the Wi-Fi (Mom doesn't have internet). Fun on a bun!

Kim - How cute are your stinky boys?!? I love that they found a fun, special thing to do with Ra-Ra ...so sweet! What a great memory!

Kelly - So glad you're joining us! We're all in the same boat - It'll be fun!

Jill - Glad you're feeling better - we missed you on our team! Take it slow and easy so you don't stir it up!

Welcome Kelly. Great group of ladies with much support here.

Kim the hide n seek was so awesome.

I have been sick since Sunday. Not sure if allergies (which I never had before) or a bad cold. I just cough like crazy. Only a low grade fever but long story short my dr. sent me for a Covid test and it did come back negative. I was so thankful. My granddaughter Alli was so worried and kept calling and texting me. She said if don't get over this cough by my next appointment on the 5th I will need to have a chest x-ray. A friend of mine had this in March with the awful cough so hoping it will go away soon.

Excited for May and warm weather. I was doing so well with my walking but haven't been out all week. Think I will start with a walk around the block tomorrow.

emoticon to all of you out there.

Hi Kelly! Welcome to the FSC! We are a hoot and are glad you want to join in the fun. You picked a great time. I'll be updating the boards tonight for May. We change things up every month to keep it fresh.

I'm working from home too so I understand - its a great commute in the morning, but too much access to the fridge.

You won't find a better group of ladies on SP. I'm sure by the end of the day, you will have greetings from all of them. Are you new to SP?

Let me know if you have any questions about the team boards. Find the ones that interest you and jump right in. Challenge for May starts tomorrow.

May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.

United we stand. Divided we fall.

Thanks Dee, I was in tears last night missing them little boys! Ugly sobbing. I was so glad I got to play phone hide n seek. It was truly awesome!

Hi Folks, I'm Kelly. I live in Central Ohio. I'm long time married, with 5 kiddos and 13 grand-treasures. I'm missing them all TERRIBLY, which I can tell you all understand. I am working from home during this quarantine. I have to say I love it.

Unfortunately, I've been eating way too much and have gained 5 lbs during this time too. Its time to focus on more good things for myself.

I've read through the April thread, and ya'll are a hoot!
Looking forward to May with you all!

Laura, no points then I got this LOL

I have to tell you about the most epic game of hide n seek I had yesterday. I guess the boys begged mommy to FaceTime me so at 8 yesterday morning she finally let them. And Lukie said, RaRa I have to tell you a secret so him and Leo go into a different room from mommy and he says Leo and I want to play hide n seek with you. I will count to 15 and Leo will hide and you and I will go find him. Oh my goodness ladies that was the best 10 min of my entire week. While Leo still wonít talk to me through the phone when it was ďourĒtime to find Lukie, He would hold the phone and give me kisses through the phone and I would count. LOL All the while mommy is telling them boys RaRa is at work she needs to work she canít play hide n seek. Hush mommy I got all day to do this! It was AWESOME and to think that they thought about that all on their own. Well, made my heart smile!~

emoticon LOL Bee, I do remember! Mumsie had a poodle skirt in the closet... we cruised 'Broadway' there was a theater 'Broadway' o the strip... and the parks/zoo - to up on the hill for overcity lookouts... sighs... I remember when they started closing it down... the vigorous debates about kids needing something to do v. getting in trouble... some wanted earlier curfews and I wanted none!!! LOL

emoticon saw someone who made 2 trips around the city to get free chicken nuggets, said he ended up with enough for weeks, too funny! my brother was like that with biscuits and mac & cheese... or McDs!

emoticon I was like... er, donuts!

emoticon Wendi - can just imagine 13 boy... and can't imagine shutting down schools at that age... hope they reopen soon! like this fall.

emoticon Laura, I can't imagine that meat plant...

this is what is so crazy - so our 'essentials' are open, like the grocery... they have arrows on the floor, yada yadaÖ why can't all business be open with caution. it doesn't make sense to me... same with medical... everything was postponed... I dunno - I don't personally want to go either, with my conditions/age, I am seriously afraid for this but it's all pretty devastating economically for everyone in our family... we have about 2 out of 60 who have 'essential' jobs... it's getting desperate - and the stupid unemployment is so backlogged....

emoticon even my car retitle is backlogged, due for renewal/deq check on/before 5/2...

this is all just kinda crazy...

Good Morning all!

Draggin main! Ahhhh the memories! We would do it for hours! Kids these days just don't know what they are missing!

Had a little rain overnight but the sun is coming out and blue skies above. Unfortunately, the wind is gonna blow.

Wow, Jill, you have been busy! That is a great thing!

I really am over this whole virus thing. ND never completely shut down. Just bars & restaurants(inside seating) and gyms, hair/nail salons etc. Everyone else was voluntarily. A lot of places stayed open. I haven't been out except to go to the grocery store twice. But my sister and I are throwing around the idea of going to my mom and dad's for the weekend. It is my Dad's 75th birthday on Friday. It would be just her and I, not any of our families. She's been home the whole time as well. My folks are well and haven't been out much either. Montana has started opening up too. We are really missing our family! And in our neck of the woods, it hasn't been bad at all. Really our state has only had like 500 total cases and 19 deaths. And most of the cases are in the eastern part of the state and I'm in the west central. I wish they would let the kids back in school but I doubt that will happen. My kid is developing an I don't care attitude about school, well about most things. Yes, he is 13 but he has always liked school and doing his best. It is very frustrating to me.

Well I better get some work done. Have a good day everyone!

Hiya Wendi, good luck keeping your house clean with those stinky boys. LOL Gotta love them right?

Jill, glad to see you posting. I was wondering about you. Sounds as though you are busy busy busy and that is wonderful what you are doing! That is sad that people donít have ways to cook that is really heartbreaking. My daughter said she is giving away about 700 meals a day when they only use to give like 2-3 hundred. So very sad. 90ís? No thanks, you can keep that.

Jules, I am right with you my dear. WE are starting to open up Friday. And while it isnít a lot at least itís something but with strict orders to wear masks While I am not sure why we have to do that now when it wasnít that way all this time. But whatever, I get it. I think. Glad you called the doc about your foot. Hopefully they get you in quick and get it figured out for you.

Laura, Oh no seriously? Why would they open back up and not do the testing? I mean you would think that would open them right up for a lawsuit. WOW Our Gov has also opened back up for elective surgeries. But only if they have the correct amount of PPE. Your farmers markets are crazy. I would loose my mind with that many people. Oh Cruising in high school that was all the rave. Loud music driving from White Castle to Hills. Good memories. That is awesome they are brining that back. WOW takes me way back..

Brenda, Scavenger hunts were so fun. Kaitlyn did them with church and she loved them. I need to remind her about that for something fun to do with her kiddoís at the center. Doug and I went and dropped off chicken nuggets for the boys yesterday. They were rationing them lol they will only eat a certain kind and Papaw was the hero he went to Samís and got them for the boys mommy wanted 2 boxes papaw of course bought 4! Leo was so funny when he seen them. He screamed papaw youíre the best and kept screaming about having chicken nuggets told mommy he was allowed to eat as many as he wanted cause papaw bought him a lot. LOL It was so funny. Lukie was super excited too but he was too busy playing on his ipad to visit with us through the door. Said that isnít fun. Leo did kiss me through the door though. I am so with you. I want this to be over so bad. Sadly I donít see any end in sight.

Have a great day ladies. I am off to get ready for another boring day at work.

We used to drive and do silly things...wave at people we didn't know, beeping our horn, etc. Big city, so no main drag to drive down. I love the movie American Graffiti...my parents lives were like that...poodle skirts, saddle shoes with Bobby socks and guys in rolled up Levi's and white t-shirts. I used to have birthday parties in my teens where we dressed like that as a theme. It was fun! We always did scavenger hunts too. Remember those? We'd divide up into 2 groups with a list of things to collect. Each group would take one side of the street and whichever group came back first with everything on the list, they would get prizes! Too much fun! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Thanks for all the sweet comments about Brody! I can't believe he's already 7 weeks old today! We haven't been able to hold him since the first few days at birth. Praying that it will be soon, but it doesn't look like it. Oh well, he'll never know.

Be safe and stay healthy!

Sounds like everyone had a wonderful and productive weekend. I'm with you Jules. I'm ready for things to open back up but I'm very nervous that states are doing it before they are on the downside of the curve and without testing. Meat plant in CO had over 120 people test positive, 5 people has died. Was told that to reopen they had to test all employees. Company started testing supervisors and managers and 40% turned up positive so they stopped testing and now they opened back up with 6000 employees who have not been tested. That is the stories that scare me since I my office is in the same building as the factory floor and they have had cases in my building.

I realize everyone is going stir crazy, but we do still need to be smart about it even if our governors aren't. My crazy gov opened up for hospitals to start doing elective surgeries again and ok'd farmers markets to open up. I'm in Iowa. Has our governor never been to a farmer's market in Iowa? It is wall to wall people, families, pets, etc. And yet she thinks that people will be able to do social distancing. This is one of our farmers market:

It's a farmers market! She is gov of Iowa -a state filled with farmers.

Though on somewhat of a positive note - There was a local article that Crusin' the Avenue is coming back as a way to see people and still socially distance. Did anyone else cruise in high school? The local radio station on Saturday nights are playing all the music of the 70's - 80's that was the crusin' music. People get in their cars and drive real slow up and down the main drag in downtown. You wave and honk at those you know, shout out windows and crank the tunes. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you need to watch American Graffiti. It is a lost art from our youth.

May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.

Marvelous Monday to all of you.

Saturday I was busy at the Moose Lodge. Sam's Club donated 200 pizza kits and the Evans Police Department identified families in need so I was in the kitchen making tons of pizzas and doing dishes. The Evans Chamber of Commerce, police and fire departments manned the front where they were given a pizza, chips, cupcakes and lemonade. It was safe and curbside so they could take home and enjoy. Sam's is also donating 93 roasted chickens to also be given away to families that are struggling. There are many low income people in our area that depend on work at the JBS beef plant that is currently shut down. Many of these people do not even have ovens to cook a pizza so they were given the option of a cooked or uncooked one. Sam's is also donating 2 pallets of toys that my husband is picking up today. Personally I was not an advocate of Sam's or Wal-marts but they are really stepping up to the plate during this tough time for many families. Might have to change my mind. emoticon

Yesterday I was feeling crappy all day which of course makes a person a little anxious but much better today.

Supposed to almost be in the 90s this week so hoping to get much work done in the yard and maybe a few things planted. We can still have some colder weather so trying not to get too carried away.

Brenda love the pictures of that beautiful baby boy. Each day brings you one day closer to snuggles.

Good Morning!

Weekend here was at least productive. Got my house cleaned. Now to keep it that way! It is very hard with these boys. Started working in the back yard too. Wanting to put down some patio blocks where we had mulch cause the dog just digs in it anyway. Haven't completely convinced the hubby yet though.

Brenda- Brody is adorable! He is growing!

Laura- I need a kitchen redo but I need to do some painting and the whole thing!

Hi Jules, Dee & Kim!

Hope everyone is hanging in there! Have a great day!

You'll have that little cutie in your arms quick enough.

productive weekend in my kitchen. All of my counters are redone. I still have my cart, the table and next week I want to tackle the kitchen pantry. I'm sure there are things in there that expired long ago.

Have had my wrist in a brace all weekend. I have a small case of tendonitis. A lot of typing for work lately.

I have "brunch" at home - Just what I call sleeping to the point of missing breakfast. emoticon

Happy Sunday!

Did I hear someone say "brunch"?? We used to go to Duke's in Huntington Beach for brunch...for Mother's day or a special birthday! Hawaiian music, delicious food and ocean view! Can't wait to go back when this is over!

Yesterday we went to window visit Kevin, Ashley & Brody for Kevin's birthday. We had a good time and got to talk for a couple of hours.

emoticon Hi evreryone ~ happy Sunday to all!

emoticon Dee! I do!!
~ 1 of the most awesome was at a French Restaurant after a private/group cooking demonstration... brunch remains 1 of my fav things to do - particularly river/oceanside. I could spend my days oceanside... playing! feasting! lol ;)

emoticon thought for the day ~ sometimes you just got to ride/go with the waves...

emoticon some of the funnest times of my life were body surfing off the S. California coast... although once, we did not pay attention to the rising tide and were up to our necks in the waves, before we realized it, out on a sand bar, a little rougher deep water between us and shore... we linked together and made it through...

~ my hope is to find the fun in the day(s) where possible, and find a way through the rougher/deeper parts of this ~ and ~ to simply keep Sparking... we're all going through this... please don't feel like your story is one of failure ~ rather it is about finding a way through waters that threaten to swamp us ~ and 1 way or another, we'll get through this... Cheers :)

I'll have one of those Bloody Mary's! It reminds me of Sunday Brunch. Remember those? The country will reopen soon and then we'll have to learn how to eat at the restaurants without going hog wild because we've missed them so much.

Brenda, What color did you dye your hair? Did you do hot pink? Happy Birthday to Kevin. What are we going to do with our children? Matthew was just here a little bit ago he is still scared to death worried about when the country opens back up again. He said that little kids donít know how nor do they understand social distancing. And he is right, they donít and even if they allow only 6 kids per class at daycare, it wont be enough to pay the teachers nor enough to feed the children. Itís a mess. So not just Kev and Ashley itís my crazy kid too. He went to lowes to get stuff for the weeds in our yards and I am sure he will make missy spray him down and will hit the shower before he sees the boys. I have to admire the fact that they are trying to keep our grandsonís safe it just really hurts not being able to see/play/hold them!

Wendi, see I have told you boys=stinky thus stinky boys LOL What is it with boys they just donít get it do they?

Dee that is a beautiful dress. And I canít wait to see you wear it as I know you will soon!

Jill, I fear a lot of things will be cancelling, Doug is waiting to hear about football. As to if they will even play this year. So much uncertainty is driving me nuts!

Jules, can I have the food hanging out of the Bloody Mary? I donít like those but the food looks yummy lol

Laura, I am so proud of you. You are really kicking Keto butt! And I love your kitchen tools. Especially the little mason jars. I slept in today, I didnít wake up till 10:30. I was shocked that I slept that long I guess I needed it.

I am off to find something to do. I may make some cups today. Have a great day ladies.

Good Morning!

Brenda-good idea! As well as get my frustrations out! I'm not afraid to make them cry! lol

Laura- it's a good thing my hubby goes to work because I don't think it would be good if he were here all the time. We've both been a tad on the grumpy side and well that isn't a good mix!

Hope everyone is doing well on this the 427th day of April! Have a great silly weekend!

Today I dyed my hair, then went to Mom's to dye her hair! I dropped birthday gifts off at Kevin's for tomorrow (he'll be 32) and picked up a special dessert for him. Tomorrow we're window visiting while he opens his gifts and seeing Brody!

Jules - Love the Bloody Mary...think I'll make one! That should mellow me out! LOL

Wendi - Maybe you can use water balloons to clean your boys!! LOL

We made it through another week and we are still hanging in there.

Jules - I love all your pictures. Let's hope that Bloody Mary was photoshopped or you just know it will tip over once you move anything! LOL

Wendi - I think the same thing about my hubby when he is off work. Was just getting out of his jammies at 4:30 this afternoon. Then I found out his factory is closed for another week. Love that he is home safe and sound, but will drive me crazy at the same time.

All I can think of is that I'm going to sleep in tomorrow. Then going to get busy on my kitchen redo.

emoticon That's my kind of bloody Mary, Jules!

Not much new here. I feel like I spend my whole time trying to get other people in my house to do things. I may as well just do them myself! Except I can't shower for them! ick! stinky boys!!

We got a quick shot of rain last night and it was quick but it sure greened up the grass. Looks like we might get another, the clouds are getting dark.

The neighbor is playing water balloons with her two young boys. I'm guessing they are 4 and 3. She got in some good shots and now they are both crying!!! lol! Maybe I need some! ha ha!

Got the remaining tax returns done so I have that checked off my list! Need to make my weekend list and kick some major yard stuff out. It is supposed to be in the 70s! yay!

Hope you are all doing well! Keep hanging in!

emoticon hi everyone

emoticon Dee that goal looks awesome, summery & beautiful :)

emoticon Wendi - same here, everything for everyone canceled. it is a tad devastating and life changing for almost everyone I know except a very few who were 'essential' and life/income went on...

emoticon Laura, who knew a little switch flip... glad you got it figured out...

emoticon I can listen to little upshots but am finding it difficult to discuss... and hard to help hubby calm down when all I want to do is join in to the meltdown... which for me are daydreams of takeout - all the adds on tv for takeout, yeesh, my brain is in overdrive to place food orders... a bit like wanting a stack of this...

emoticon blargh - so for me it's the big resist... and intentional decisions to keep de-stressing in non-food ways and to keep eating regular foods in regular amounts... it just seems like never-ending weekends... and we are still in lockdown. this was not how I had imagined April - I was working on my May vision board - I added blue skies with white puffy clouds ~ they always evoke smiles and I think of mom - it's so weird... I keep wanting my mumsie and gramsies - they always gave reassuring words, hugs and treats...

emoticon we have to do that for ourselves now. emoticon

Today I cleaned, talked to my kids, saw pics and videos of Brody, and picked up birthday gifts for Kevin from my mom and sister. I've got to drop off the gifts tomorrow at Kevin's because they have to sit overnight before he will open them on his birthday Saturday due to the virus. Yes Kim, I totally know what you're dealing with!!

Kim - Kev & Ashley are doing the same thing. They won't let us around even though we haven't been anywhere. No work, stores, etc. They're just new parents trying to protect their baby, so I'll have to live with that. Hopefully it'll be gone soon!!

Wendi & Jill - It looks like a lot of things are being cancelled. I guess we can all have fun family summers! This is going to be something that will be talked about through our generations!

Dee - Love your goals! Long term I'd love to be able to wear a fun sundress and look good in it! Short term is dropping another size.

Laura - I know you'll hit your goal soon with room to spare behind that steering wheel... you're doing great!

I have a dear friend from Michigan that worked at the Grand Hotel during the summers all through her teens and early twenties. Crazy stories she tells. That is also on my bucket less to visit.

No stimulus check comes our way but my kids got theirs. It will definitely help with groceries as with kids home for 3 meals a day plus snacks it can get very spendy.

Wendi my oldest grandson is 13 and his Mission Trip also got canceled. He loves track and brain bowl which both got canceled so when his Mission Trip was canceled he said I am used to things not happening anymore. It made me so sad that all of our children and grandchildren are having to experience this. They will definitely have stories to tell their children and grandchildren some day. Church Camp for the other 3 grandkids 11, 9 & 9 is the end of July and so far has NOT been canceled. School ends May 15th for all of them so should relieve some stress for my daughter-in-laws and they can get in summer mode.

My husband has mowed our lawn 2x already and next week is supposed to be high 70s and maybe even 80.

Colorado is doing a Phase 1 opening on the 26th. It includes beauty shops and the "essential" tattoo parlors and curbside retail. Excited about getting my hair cut and appointment is already set for May 8th. Not so sure how curbside retail will work - what happens if I am looking for a top from Kohls - do they bring out 10 of them and then you take home to try on and then return or what. Think they would be better off to let people in the store and restrict the number in. For me just going to keep staying home like I am now. Grocery shopping and take out are about my only excursions.

Anyone hear from Beverly or Lisa?
Have a great day everyone.

emoticon Zoom zoom! Glad you got it working and enjoyed the thoughts about Randy. Steering wheel room is a great summer goal. When I flew to Vegas in February, my seat belt was super tight. I want to lose weight and get in better shape so I won't ever have to ask for a seat belt extender.
emoticon

My long term goal is to feel beautiful in a summer sun dress. My sister and I want to go to Mackinac Island and have tea at the Grand Hotel. I don't know if it will happen this year because of the virus, but some day it will happen.

(Not me obviously - Google image, but this is my goal)

Good Morning!

Hang in there, everyone! We will get through this. My son's church mission trip was cancelled for the summer so it's looking like our summer is really opening up and not much happening. Hoping i can go spend some time with my folks then. And lots of lake time!

Kim- most of my people have got their stimulus because they are people who get refunds and they direct deposit. We probably won't get ours until June. I'm sure it's annoying taking those calls since oh yeah! You're NOT the government! Ugh!

Laura-glad you got the lawnmower going. We are a little ways from mowing. Barely a tinge of green. Although the warmer temps have helped.

Brenda- woo hoo on the hair cut. I let my son cut mine but it was just a straight cut to take off length. It was driving me crazy!

Hi Jules, Jill & Dee! Hello to every else too. Hope you are doing well.

My word is destress. I am working on getting a lot of stress out of my life. Learning to let go of somethings that I have carried around all of my life. Time for them to go bye-bye

Dee, I will share my word with you my dear. You can destress with me. Out with the old and in with the new. Kick those stressors to the side my dear. Big hugs to you!

Laura, while I enjoy hugging my hubby itís just not the same. LOL I facetimed the boys last night and boy did I get a surprise. They were in the shower. OOPSIE one would think my son wouldnít have answered the phone but he did. Lol naked stinky boys. Wow seriously they didnít tell you to flip that darn switch? I mean seriously. Lol I would be that within the month you will fit just perfectly on your mower.

Wendi, are your people driving you nuts over the stimulus? How many calls have you fielded? People itís coming, I donít know anymore than you do.

Brenda, even though our state is opening back up May 1st I have a feeling my son still wonít allow visitors. HE is really freaking out. I get a text daily of a article he has read. So I am going to assume he wonít allow us around them. UGH they are however living their best lives with mommy and daddy the only thing they are missing is ME. Lol and yep mommy told me that. So heartbreaking but makes me feel good all the same.

Jules, I love seeing your posts! You always pick me up and you donít know it. So thanks my dear. How are you doing?

Well, I am off to fix breakfast. Today I am having Kodiak Chocolate Pancakes. YUMMY

My word is Betterment! I'm making changes so my health and life will be better!

Today my mom came over and I cut her hair! It was way too long for her to fix, so she trusted me to do it for her! My sis brought her over and finished working while I did it, then we chatted and worked on our puzzle (almost done... another 1500 pc one). Fun day!

Kim - Our state (California) is still not naming a date to reopen untill things flatten out consistently. They are going to allow parks to open for walking, and beaches are to follow but not the parking (so it keeps the number of people low). Until then, we'll take what we can get at the window!

Dee - Shouldn't your word be "Dee-termined"?? Just saying!

Jules - Thanks for the fun postings...you always keep me smiling and laughing (or gigglesnorting)!

Wendi - Glad you're having a normal day! Better than a bad one! LOL

Laura - Glad you got that lawn mower figured out! You'd think they'd have that on a big sign attached to the mower!!

My word is learning. I've started down a new path forward and every day I am learning to adjust to my new normal. There is always a lesson to be learned.

My heart aches for all of you. I just want to come and hug all those cuties myself. We are all missing the physical human contact we always took for granted. Make an extra effort to hug up those that live with you. Sometimes we just need a hug.

Figured out the mower. It only took 20 you tube videos before I learned that a bypass switch gets activated when they ship so it is easier for people to roll out of the crate. Once I disengaged it, mower works fine. Got the side yard mowed but then storms were moving in so hopefully will get the rest done tomorrow. Say a little prayer that it fits in the gate to my back yard.

It also had me thinking of Randy and his desire to lose weight so he could fit in the seat to ride a rollercoaster. My stomach is tight with the steering wheel even though I have it adjusted with as much room as possible. Makes it more difficult to turn the steering wheel. Joked with hubby that I'll have to wear my girdle when I mow. So as I am burning fat, that is my new long term goal. To be able to have space between my tummy and the steering wheel by the end of summer. What is your long term goal for this summer?

May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.

United we stand. Divided we fall.

I saw this in Jule's post and decided to move it up here. I'm trying to stay positive, even though I'm stressed.

Thanks ladies. Getting to see them just makes my heart smile I totally miss them something awful!

Jules, I am with you so glad to see everyone chatting this week. We need to do another Zoom meeting. That was so much fun getting to see everyone in ďpersonĒ We are suppose to be opening up our state the first of May, we shall see.

Jill, I am sure you arenít thrilled with not being able to go to the moose and see all your friends there. I swear if one more person says things will go back to normal soon I may smack them. LOL Doesnít help our hearts when we are missing people does it?

Wendi, How are the boys? Noone is hurt are they? So fun when they want to argue all the time. I still have a lot of tax returns that need done. They just keep coming and people are calling all day everyday about the stimulus checks.

Laura, oh no sorry your lawn mower isnít working. Kick it. LOL And sorry about hubbyís work. That is just nuts. Doug hasnít been sent home as of yet with anyone getting sick We are blessed thus far. We did have a client on the national news though. Both she and her husband got the virus and their daughter had to decide which parent go the plasma. How do you choose? Other than to say give it to the one who is the sickest. Terrible.

Brenda, I am so glad you are being window grandma still. That warms my heart. I was truly shocked that the kids were outside especially since Matthew knew we were coming. I guess he got tired of listening to me griping at him. My heart breaks for you now being able to snuggle with your little one. I know exactly how you feel, but that doesnít help any at all does it? I have cried more tears over not seeing my boys than anything here the last few days. Does your state have a re-opening day? Ours is May 1st but I am here to tell you that my son would stay home for the rest of the year if he could get away with it. He said mom just because they are allowing you to do things doesnít mean you need too or that you should.

Well I need to get my buns moving the IGAís are coming in at 7 they need more crap for the PPP loans. I think that their banker is jerking them around but I shall get them what they need. Have a great day ladies.

My days are pretty much the same as usual... I don't work, so I'm doing most of the same things except no gym (working out at home), no shopping in stores, and no holding our grandson. That's the most upsetting for me. I can deal with everything else, but it's making me more and more sad as time goes on. He was 6 weeks old on Monday, and I've only held him twice when he was a few days old. He's growing, squealing with delight, and smiling...so cute. I hate just "observing" him and want to cuddle him to experience it! Haven't seen them for 2 weeks because it was too cold and drizzling to sit outside, so we stayed home. Saturday is also our son's birthday, so we'll go window visit them all. It'll be weird, but memorable! Let's keep safe and happy! Thanks for always bringing a smile to my face even when I'm feeling down!

Kim - So glad you got to see your kiddos! We're still Window Grandma and Grandpa.

Jules - Love the mask making video... cracked me up!

Jill - Glad you get to see some of your kiddos too! Hopefully you'll get to see the rest soon.

Wendi - Teaching your own kid is tough - they listen to everyone but you! Glad your business is good!

Laura - I hate when new things don't work! Where's the quality control? Hope you get it fixed or replaced quickly!

Kim - seeing your boys just warms my heart for you.

Frustrating day for me. Finally got my riding mower, got it all ready to go, started it up and everything works except the forward and reverse pedals. It mows but goes no where. Grrr. Have to call them tomorrow. Hope they can get someone out here fast. My lawn needs a trim!

Hey everyone!

Beautiful day and evening here today! I got outside and soaked up some sun! Feels so good!

I too stay home normally but not with extra people in my house nor having to yell at a 13 yr old to do his math! UGH! I know for sure home schooling isn't for me! No patience! He was good the 1st week but after that I can barely drag him out of bed to do anything. So frustrating!

Our business has slowed some but still hanging on. People still need their appliances fixed! I think some just don't call because they don't want anyone to come into their home. But other than my gigantic grocery bill, things are ok.

Hang in there, ladies! We are FIERCE! We can make it through!!

Kim so glad you got to see them if even for 5 minutes. I am so fortunate that I get to see 3 of the 5 as often as I want Really miss my Kimber and had to miss her 9th birthday but I do talk to her on the phone. Planning on going to Texas for Savannah's 1st birthday in June so praying the virus is on the downhill by then.

My days haven't really changed much from pre-virus to now as I always have worked from home but my evenings have changed dramatically. We usually go to the Moose 3-4 nights. I do miss my bowling and golf time has started but even that has changed. 1 person per cart and no touching the flag at the holes - they have a cover over the hole now. Not sure how many times we will go out. I usually go every other Friday with 3 other ladies. Our state is going to start opening on the 26th. I expect to see a rise in cases but we cannot keep the economy shut down like this. All we can do is be cautious but not afraid. May we all continue to be safe from this virus.

Brenda, the offer to come here and put stuff away still stands. LOL

I got to see my babies for a minutes last night. The kids asked me to get them some lysol and clorox wipes. My sister is the manager of the local dollar store here and she keeps a stock for me lol so I went and got them and then we were going to the park to walk which is at the end of there subdivision so I told Matthew we were coming to drop them off and we pulled up and they were outside! Leo could hardly contain himself. Then remembered I couldn't get out of the car. But he did run over to my side and told me he loved me while Lukie ran to papaw (he is cool now). Then they switched sides. LOL A few minutes later Leo ran over to my side and grabbed my hand that was in the window. I think we both needed that connection. Just a touch but it meant the world to us both he just smiled and smiled. Then they got in their corvette and off they went. They "raced" me down the street it was the best 5 minutes I have had in a long time! I can't wait till this is over, I will never let them go!

Have a great day ladies

We are strong women and we can survive this crisis. We will roll up our sleeves and find something in our world that we can make better. And we will do it. With pride and conviction. For we are strong women and the strength is from within us.
