Our nurse at the silver cross hospital gave us this recipe and is so good. I use the md protein powder I buy from there but would like to try some that are more flavors to choose.

vanilla or chocolate protein powder 1 scoop
Sugar free butterscotch pudding 1teaspoon
powdered pb 2 or other powdered peanut butter.
shake well...( I heat mine in microwave but most drink it cold)
Tastes like a butterfinger.

I'm going to have to try that too. I need to get back to making protein shakes again. I don't have french vanilla protein powder, but I do have vanilla and sf french vanilla syrup.

For Egg Nog, I've seens some good ones linked on Pinterest. The French Vanilla protein and nutmeg is a good start. I add some cinnamon 'cause I like it. Vanilla or plain greek yogurt adds a bit more egg nog consistency and a banana makes the flavor really come alive. I liked the one I had a few days ago. I added some vanilla extract too, I think.

That sounds yummy!

I'd like to find an eggnog flavored protein shake.
Maybe a French vanilla and nutmeg would do it?

I have not been able to find an eggnog syrup.

I have 20 different flavors of Torani SF syrups. I mix and match, and use SF pudding mix or extracts.
My current favorite is Peppermint Patty:
I use Isopure zero carb Vanilla protein powder
2 tbs Chocolate SF syrup
1tsp unsweetened chocolate powder
.5 tsp chocolate extract
1 tsp peppermint extract
Ice
Blend and drink!

I just wanted to share my new fav chocolate protein powder. Today I tried GNC's Lean Shake 25 Rich Chocolate. My problem with most of the chocolate powders is that they are either too sweet or too artificial tasting. This one was neither. It was rich, shakes up pretty thick like a milkshake, but actually tasted like chocolate instead of icky. Just wanted to share in case anyone else is looking for one. Usually GNC will help you taste their stuff before you buy, too.

I tried the Buffalo chicken broth tonight. (No protein powder since I'm struggling with water today.) It tasted pretty good. Weird to be just a liquid, but it helped! Thanks!

OMG! These sound delicious! Especially that cinnamon bun smoothie. I make a frozen coffee drink.

1 cup of cold brewed coffee
1/2 cup of cashew milk (use whatever milk product you like)
1 scoop of protein powder
1/4 cup of liquid flavored coffee creamer
10 ice cubes

Add more or less coffee to your liking

Any new shakes that are suitable for a new healing sleeve?
(No oats or fruit in the plan yet)

I had some chicken broth with bullion granules added, plus some Bells season and ground allspice. Heated and strained. Counts a water, not protein. Soothing!

Okay, I finally went off the deep end today. Over a week with just liquids was getting to me, so I decided I really want something different. I've been watching football a LOT and that always gets me thinking about my baked Buffalo chicken wings. I've also been perusing a lot of Buffalo chicken dip recipes, which I figure might be good during the soft foods stage. But for now, I want a Buffalo Chicken protein shake!

What I noticed was that most of the dip recipes center on chicken, cheese, and heat. So I decided to use these same flavors for my shake. The Greek yogurt really does a good job of adding the tang of cheese.

Buffalo Chicken Protein Shake

1 cup chicken stock or broth, warmed a little bit. I warm mine about 40 seconds in the microwave.
1 scoop Unjury Chicken soup flavored protein powder
1/4 cup plain, nonfat Greek yogurt
1-2 tsp Texas Pete Buffalo wing sauce, or to taste if you're feeling suicidal. :)

You can also find it here on SparkRecipes for easy adding to the tracker: recipes.sparkpeople.com/reci
pe-detail.

I found a new one this evening. It'd been a trying day and wanted something that felt like a treat. I call this one Orange Dreamsicle.

16 oz cold water-- half crushed ice if you like them that way
1 crystal light orange (or other orange water flavor)
2 servings of vanilla protein powder

I plan on adding a banana to this when I'm allowed to have them again.

This makes two servings.

I have a cinnamon roll one!
1/2 banana (it says frozen, but I usually use a regular one)
1/2 C skim milk (or almond milk)
1/2 C water
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 C oats
1 oz cream cheese
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
ice
Mix everything in the blender. It seems to me like it gets better as it sits.

Marla, that one looks great! I'm not much for oats in a shake, so I'd use the chocolate protein powder.

For Key lime, I found two on Pinterest that keep popping up. I haven't tried them yet. Here's the first one: dashingdish.com/recipe/key-l
ime-pie-pr
otein-shake/

It looked a bit involved for me.

The second one looked good, though:

Ύ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 (5.3oz) container of Chobani key lime yogurt
2 tbsp BiPro unflavored protein powder (or your favorite unflavored whey protein)
Ό cup unsweetened pineapple juice
½ cup chopped fresh pineapple
½ frozen banana
3-4 ice cubes

Ok, this is not a protein shake - yet!

It's a smoothie my sister got me into, and I want to modify it for protein.
Maybe just increase the milk and add a scoop or two of chocolate protein powder?

• 2 Cups any dairy free milk --> 1 1/2 c.
• 1 cup frozen mango chunks
• Ό Cup of Almonds (or ground almonds)
• 6 Tablespoons of cocoa powder --> 3 Tbsp
• Ό to ½ cup of dates or date syrup or another sweetener to taste - (too sweet!)
• 1 teaspoon of almond essence/ Almond Extract
• OPTIONAL
• 2 Tablespoons of almond butter
• 1 Cup of Oats (for a thicker more filling smoothie)
• 1 Cup of Spinach (You can’t taste it, honestly)

Anyone have a good key lime pie w/ protein recipe?

thanks,
Marla

I love a tropical one
6oz skim milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/3 cup crushed pineapple
1/2 banana
ice
Whip it all together.
It would be good with a drop of coconut extract too, only I haven't been able to find any.

Hey fellow sleevers! I just had my surgery one week ago and am getting bored with the premade liquid protein options. I'm stuck on the full liquid phase for twelve more days, so would love to see everyone's ideas and favorites.
So what is your favorite protein shake?

So far, my fav is the Peppermint Mocha shake I made this morning.
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (unjury)
8 oz decaf black coffee
1-2 drops peppermint extract

This was my way of getting back some of the flavor of coffee that I've been missing since surgery.
