Re-post of basic information about the Moon Challenge.

CET people - we are going to the MOON!

There are 238,855 miles to the moon. Every 2000 steps = 1 mile. Therefore, we need a total of 477,710,000 steps to get to the moon!

Every activity - bicycling, rowing, yoga, jumping rope, hula-hooping, etc., can be converted to a number of steps. Each day that you have steps to contribute to the team effort you can tick “Yes” for having completed the team goal.

Here’s a few handy-dandy conversion charts:

Each week there will be a new "top" thread labeled with the current week's dates (note the week starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday). In that thread, start a post and add your daily total steps walked to it and then please total at the end of the week. One post per person for the entire week.

This is a fun goal - everybody can get behind it, because everybody can contribute steps. It doesn’t matter how many, because it doesn’t matter how fast we go or how long it takes us.

(Note: Due to circumstances beyond our control, we lost the total count of our progression to the moon, but that hasn't deterred us from our goal which is to count our steps we take each week. It's really all about the moving that counts!)
