I'm using extended fasting to guide my mind & my body to a healthier place. -- So far it's totally working! emoticon
I'm down 25 lbs since Feb. of this year. Hope to be close to goal weight by end of 2018! (30 lbs to go!)

Still need to add in Strength Training. Maybe I can work on that through the summer...which by the way: STARTS TODAY!

1) PMA - Cope with a big "D" diagnosis. (PMA = Positive Mental Attitude)
2) Track EVERYTHING. - Got a Garmin Vivofit2, Spark on my phone.
3) Move - 5 minutes or more at least six times a day. (walk, stretch, stationary pedals, resistance band, whatever BUT MOVE!)
4) Accept that this is a JOURNEY, there is no finish line. (Cue Serenity Prayer)
5) Participate. 80% of life is showing up - Woody Allen (sometimes even the worst of us has an AHA! moment)

Rinse. Repeat.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Once they're out of the way the rest of us can get on with life.

I would LOVE to drop 10% of body weight by Christmas. It would get me out of the DANGER zone that I'm currently in... emoticon

I've been using intermittent fasting to see if my body will do better with lower amounts of insulin coursing through my veins and help with blood sugar levels. (My April Dr. appt/bloodwork indicated pre-diabetic + non-alcoholic fatty liver disease starting.)

If I keep busy, I can go about 16 -19 hrs without eating & without headaches. I have to watch the coffee drinks that include sugars.

I will re-assess the end of July to see if this plan/method works for me...
