Most recipes for the Green Bean Fries says to fry or deep fry them. I bake mine. I also use either cornmeal or my gluten free/wheat free flour as I can't have the regular or the bread crumbs. I use the recipe I found on SP but I add in the following ingredients:

Green Bean Fries
recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detai
l.
asp?recipe=422090

INGREDIENTS That I ADD:
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder

** If you bake them, spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the beans in a single layer. Spray with a bit of cooking spray, lightly. Bake at 375 til golden brown and a bit crispy but not overly.

May serve with low fat ranch dressing or wasabi sauce.

This recipe makes enough 1/2 cup servings for 16!!! You might want to cut in half. You can also use fresh broccoli instead of frozen and use Fat free mayo instead of the Hellmann's Light. You can use any kind of sugar replacement in the dressing. I also have used a Raspberry Balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar which gives it a bit more flavor.

You are so welcome. Since it is made with egg substitute, and you need more calories, you might add a salad to go with it, or make with 2 real eggs plus the liquid egg whites. You could change up the veggies in it, too. I would like to make one using asparagus or baby spinach instead of broccoli.

This is a very low cal healthy cool dessert for summer!!! You will never know it has yogurt (for those who may not like yogurt) It tastes like a lemon ice-box pie!!! I like it better!!!

Lemon Mousse

Ingredients:
1 small box sugar free Lemon flavored Jello
2 6 ounce cartons of Yoplait Light Lemon Pie yogurt
1/4 cup boiling water
1 8oz tub of Cool Whip Free (soft but not completely thawed)

1. pour boiling water into a bowl
2. whisk in the gelatin until fully dissolved
3. fold in the yogurt completely
4. fold in the Cool whip completely.

Pour into 1 cup serving dessert dishes or in a serving bowl and refrigerate over night. It will be so light and fluffy!!!

*** You can also pour into a graham cracker pie crust and have as a pie. ( I can't have the crust) I need to learn to make a crust using almond flour.

*** You could make this orange creamsicle by subbing sugar free orange gelatin and orange yogurt or even strawberry by using sugar free strawberry gelatin & strawberry yogurt

Sugar Free Strawberry Freezer Jam (got from my sister who does nearly everything sugar free due to DH being diabetic) There's no cooking to this recipe.

4 cups crushed fresh strawberries
1 1/2 cups sugar substitute ( I have used Stevia, Truvia, & also Nevella-which I like best)
1/4 ounce Ball Fruit Jell Freezer Jam Pectin

Clean and slice up berries. Crush in a big bowl. Mix the sugar sub and pectin together. Add crushed berries. Stir well for 3 minutes. Put into freezer containers (plastic boxes with lids) leaving about 1/2 inch from the top. Let sit 30 minutes. Place lid on container. Refrigerate or freeze. ENJOY!!!

On the smoothie recipe, you don't have to cut the bottom off the yogurt cup, just turn it upside down under warm running a few seconds, then take cover off and it will slide right out into your blender!!! If it isn't sweet enough for your taste, put a couple pkts of Truvia, Stevia, or Splenda in it.

Francie's Healthy Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie
(you will need to freeze the yogurt ahead of time)

Ingredients:
1 6 ounce carton of Yoplait Light Strawberry or Strawberry Banana Yogurt (frozen)
1 cup strawberries
3/4 cup of skim/1% milk/2 (more if needed for desired consistency)
1 scoop of Chocolate Protein powder

Freeze the yogurt ahead of time.
Then after it is really good and frozen, cut the bottom of container off and squeeze out into a blender. Put in the strawberries, milk and whey powder. Blend until smooth or your desired consistency. Add more milk or water if needed.
This is so YUMMY and a good way to get your probiotics, a fruit serving, a protein serving, and milk (calcium)
You could also put in a fourth of a banana and a Tblsp of low fat natural peanut butter and have a whole meal!!! :-)

Y'all Come Southern Summer Stir Fry

1 cup chunked yellow squash
1 cup chunked zucchini
1 cup chunked green tomatoes
1 cup chunked (small) cucumbers (yep you read it right)
1 cup finely chopped sweet Vidalia onions

After washing & chunking veggies up, (I don't peel mine), I put in my elect skillet with just enough of my raw non-hydrogenated coconut oil to keep from sticking. I stir fry it all together til desired tenderness. You can add whatever seasoning you like best to it.

Here's a great cheese ball recipe.

Chili Powder Coated Cheese Ball

Ingredients:
2 boxes cream cheese
8 ounces shredded cheddar
5-6 garlic cloves crushed
1 tsp. garlic powder

Mix all together either by hand or in food processor. Form into a loaf or ball and roll in chili powder to coat. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in fridge for several hours. Serve with snack crackers.

YUMMY!!! You would think it would be too hot coated in chili powder but it is not and very delicious on a cracker. You get more of the cheese than you do the chili powder.

Warm Chicken/Mushroom Dip

** This cannot be made in microwave!!!

Ingredients:
1 can cream of chicken soup- undiluted

1 small can mushroom pieces- undrained
1 8 ounce cream cheese
1 small pkg slivered almonds
1 can of chicken (about 1 or 1/2 cups)

Pour all ingredients in a pan and heat slowly, stirring frequently. The heat does not need to be high or this will burn easily. Serve warm with corn chips/snack cracks/ or tortilla chips

Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients:
12 sugar free or guilt free ice cream sandwiches
Free Cool Whip
sugar free chocolate syrup
sugar free caramel syrup
mini Butterfingers or I use sugar free pecan turtle candy or sugar free peanut butter cups

Place ice cream sandwiches in bottom of long dish
cover with cool whip
drizzle chocolate and caramel syrups over cool whip
crunch up candy and sprinkle on top

Cover and freeze a few hours
Take out about 30 minutes before serving.
Cut in squares with a warm knife.

1 layer is enough but lots of people make it a double decker by just alternating layers again.

This is not a dessert to lose weight on. I think it has about 600 calories per slice!!!!!!

Chocolate-Walnut Pie

Use a 9 inch deep dish pie plate
Yield: Makes 8 servings

1 Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour (in my case, I use almond flour)
1/2 cup margarine, melted
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup semisweet dark chocolate morsels
Roll out and fit piecrust into a 9-inch pie plate according to package directions; fold edges under, and crimp.
Stir together sugar and next 4 ingredients until well blended; stir in walnuts and chocolate. Pour filling into pie crust.
Bake at 350° on lowest oven rack for 30 minutes or until pie is set; cool on wire rack.
Can serve with Whipped cream or Cool whip.

another biggest looser recipe Vanilla Cupcakes
only 100 cals
Makes about 14 cupcakes

Ingredients

5 organic egg whites
Pinch of salt
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
cup nonfat Greek yogurt
cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
For the raspberry frosting

1 cup nonfat cream cheese, at room temp
1 cup fresh raspberries
Fresh raspberries to garnish
Method

1.Preheat the oven to 325F.
2.Place the egg whites in a large bowl and using a handheld mixer whip the whites on medium speed for 3 to 4 minutes or until the whites begin to lighten up and hold their shape.
3.Increase speed to high and whip in the salt and honey until the whites hold a soft peak, then add the vanilla extract.
4.Fold in the yogurt.
5.In a separate medium mixing bowl combine the flour and baking powder and mix well.
6.Sift the dry ingredients into the egg whites a little at a time, gently folding them in with a rubber spatula.
7.Once fully incorporated, scoop the batter into cupcake tins lined with cupcake papers.
8.Bake the cupcakes for 15 to 20 minutes or until they have colored and gently spring back when pushed with a finger.
9.Remove from the oven and cool the cupcakes at room temp.
10.While the cupcakes are baking, puree the raspberries in a blender until smooth.
11.Pass through a fine mesh strainer into a small saucepot and cook over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until the puree reduces slightly.
12.Cool completely.
13.Place the cream cheese into a medium mixing bowl and fold the puree into the cream cheese until fully mixed.
14.Once cupcakes are cool, spread a little of the berry frosting over the cupcakes, garnish each with one raspberry and serve.

***Amy, you and I will need to wait til P3 or P4 (if you do a P4) to have this.

Vera Cruz Tomatoes
serves 4

* 4 firm ripe tomatoes
* 3 slices bacon
* 1/4 cup chopped onion
* 8 ounces fresh spinach, stems snipped
* 1/2 cup regular sour cream
* 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
* salt to taste
* 1/2 cup shredded regular (not reduced fat)Mexican cheese blend

Directions

1. Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
2. Cut tops from tomatoes; remove seeds and membranes. Place tomato shells upside down on paper towels to drain until filling.
3. Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet, and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate, reserve drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside. Return 2 tablespoons of drippings to skillet.
4. Cook onion in the bacon drippings until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in spinach; cook and stir until wilted, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream, reserved crumbled bacon, and hot pepper sauce.
5. Sprinkle tomato shells with salt; fill evenly with bacon and spinach mixture. Place tomatoes in prepared baking dish.
6. Bake in preheated oven until hot, 20 to 25 minutes. Remove, and top evenly with the shredded cheese. Return to the oven; bake until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.

This recipe is especially for anyone on HCG program but can be used by anyone!!!

P3/P4 Baked Coconut Shrimp
Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/3 cup almond flour
***(if you're not on HCG program you can use cornstarch)
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Unsweetened coconut
**(if you're not on HCG program you can use sweetened coconut and leave out the Stevia drops)
liquid Stevia drops -just enough to sweeten the coconut.
3 egg whites, beaten until foamy

Directions
1.Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
2.Rinse and dry shrimp with paper towels. Mix almond flour, salt, and cayenne pepper in a shallow bowl. Working with one shrimp at a time, dredge it in the almond flour mixture, then dip it in the egg white, making sure to coat the shrimp well. Then roll in the Stevia sweetened coconut, coating well. Place on the prepared baking sheet, and repeat with the remaining shrimp.
3. Bake the shrimp until they are bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center, and the coconut is browned. 15 to 20 minutes, flipping the shrimp halfway through.

sounds great. It would have been salsa verde if you had not added red ones but I bet the red ones added flavor. I don't see why you couldn't have a Tblsp of that with your meat on P2 when you start Program.

This is good and healthy for anyone. This is especially for Amy and me and our special program.
Amy, you will need this later. (You will not be able to have noodles but is good over cooked shredded chicken or ground beef):-)

The recipe doesn't make a bunch.

P2/P3 Raw Spaghetti Sauce
Delicious and with all its vitamins and enzymes...your body will say thank you, thank you, thank you!

Huge tomato, pealed
Mushrooms, green pepper, onion (4 oz's)
garlic clove
sweet basil, oregeno, Hymilayan sea salt to taste

Instructions:
Pulse onion, garlic and green pepper until chopped...careful not to make juice of it...set aside in bowl. Cut tomato into chunks and pulse with mushrooms and spices...and back veggie mixture and pulse until mixed. (This will look lighter and more pink than what you are used to seeing...keep an open mind...it's not cooked...this is it's natural look). If needed add just a little water before heating. You can then heat til bubbly.
