I've been making a few large batches of homemade broth then freezing them instead of canning them. This is far faster for me and the broth freezes well with no loss of flavor!

I like making broth in large batches and canning it up, but for just a single pot of soup it's such a time suck.

I have been a fan of 100 Days of Real Food since before the blog started emphasizing organic. If we have the money, I try to buy something from the dirty dozen organic. I can buy green beans, kale, spinach, etc from a local farm. Most other items on the list are not available in organic. I do buy frozen blueberries & cherries from Walmart. I try to plan meals around the CLEAN 15 ➕ . I keep these two lists on my phone.

I rarely eat processed food. Try to cook lightened up versions of recipes from my mother and grandmothers. I have almost quit eating canned soups. In fact, I canít remember the last time I ate a can of soup. I do use store bought broth. I used to make my own.

How're you doing JACREN? I tend to need other people posting to keep things front of mind. And I'm eating some not-real food right now (stopped at a diner 'cause I NEEDED a bathroom break) but I'll be back on the wagon manana.

Restarting 100 days of real food.
Breakfast was veggie free (bagel with lox cream cheese) which is a summer splurge, so I'm gonna keep it up.
Lunch was miso kale mushroom soup, so all veggie except the broth - that should count.
Dinner - I want curry but I don't want to cook so I may just have a big salad, but either way lots of veggies, maybe with naan.

Had 2 servings fruit or vegetables at each meal

I have pleurisy, 2 types of anemia, macrocytic anemia, Iron deficiency anemia, from blood transfusions with wrong antibodies, causes blood to replace daily instead of 100 days, chronic pneumonia, pleurisy, chronic kidney disease, a partially collapsed lung, low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years. Now formed scar tissue.I am 56 years old. I had cervical cancer 6 years ago, no signs last 4 years as well. I have new blood clots now,2019.I am on P.S.T. time zone.

O.K. I am new to this and see it was done in a while. I start tomorrow. It is late here!
2 fruits or vegetables per. meal, this will not be easy because somethings I have more then 1 serving of the same fruit or vegetable at each meal. Maybe I should change to 2 servings, not 2 kinds per. meal.

I love veggies, too. I get a family share at my CSA all summer and I live alone. I'm probably out of balance from too little of the other food groups!
