My goals are:

1. To walk 3 mi each day
2. To read 2 chapter of my Bible each day
3. To declutter 15 min each day
4. To strength train 4 days a week.
5. To drink 6 - 8 or more glasses of water each day.

My goals for October are going to change day to day. But some of the daily or mostly daily goals are:

1. Stay within my calorie range. My mother in-law is not making this an easy task lately. She made a chocolate cake the other day, and she's making FUDGE right now. Help.

2. Make progress with my new elliptical. Hoping to be able to do a full 1/2 mile without stopping by the end of the month. We'll see though.

3. No snacking after dinner. Again, not going to be easy with all the goodies around here lately.

4. Be more active on my SP teams. This team in particular since it's my most active group.

Let's see... For a month, I've been trying to meet up with the Humane Society so I could volunteer by walking their dogs.... thinking I could force myself to get outside during the darker, colder months. They're sort of rigid about when you can go, so I don't think I'm going to get to go as often as I hoped, but still, so far it's the easiest and best volunteer experience I've ever had. So my goal is to go once a week and get in some run time with some of the dogs.

Next, keep cleaning up my diet. So far it's going well.

And I want to keep on running/biking. For me, it's a real stress buster, so if I can figure out how to make myself get out when it's cold, I'll be happy. Also I recently had to to upgrade to digital and I have a new music video channel, so I'm enjoying working out to music with my kettlebells. I'd like to make that a part of my daily routine. I didn't do it last night, but otherwise I've been consistent.

Can you believe it is October already?

That time of month again (and no ladies I don't mean the feminine stuff - LOL)

Goals are so important to make progress and are a great source of sharing to become connected to your team and team-mates. I have already read several posts about goal setting that have encouraged me on, so please make sure you check out the different threads on the team. Each and every member is needed and valued on this team. Wouldn't it be pretty boring if we all were robots without individual expression?

I always review my previous months goals and also what areas are of priority for me to work on so as to stay on track with living healthier.

Nutrtion - Last month I worked on getting my cholesterol numbers under control which was a success. This month will be sugar intake incuding watching how many snacks I eat. The first week I will just monitor my snacks and then the following weeks will be devoted to adjusting as necessary.

Fitness - my walking is not an issue. I do need to get more strength training in - so I am going to aim for 2 days a week for the first week and then adjust as needed. TY MJ for this idea.

Motivation - I don't have a problem with checking in to spark daily. I do want to explore the dynamics of the team and what it truly means to be a team player - look for upcoming blogs for my progress.

What are your goals? Please share - many of mine were developed from your posts and sharing. Never have a doubt that what you have to say someone else needs to hear.
