I have been training to walk a 1/2 marathon, and have been consistent with my walking workouts, however I slack off on the cross-training days. My goal for this week is to cross-train on two days this week, in addition to my 3 days of walking.

Whatever I accomplish in week 1 for 10 minutes a day will be more than I do now. I'm going to try some stretching to start with.

Since going back to work, I've found it hard to fit in my gym time. I used to be 4 days a week, cardio and weights 1 1/2 hours at a time, then reality kicked in. I'm hoping that by squeezing in manageable chunks I can still get some fitness benefits into my packed day.....

Hey! I'm new here, although NOT new to SP. I'm traveling so exercise is difficult but that cannot be an excuse. I'm beginning AT THE BEGINNING so 10 min. of ANY exercise is what I'm aiming for right now. I'll let you all know how I'm doing. Jo

My goal is to continue working on being consistant with my daily workouts. I just finished the 28 day Bootcamp workouts and I want to continue working on making time for my self. In the last 28 days I have noticed a big difference in the way that I feel and the way that my clothes fit. I am hoping to lose 10 more lbs by the time my husband's Christmas party is in December.

It isn't going to be easy but it will get done.

I am pretty active now, but still want to challenge myself. I normally eat lunch at my desk and I am challenging myself to at least a 10 minute walk during that time. It will get me out of the office into the fresh air and clear my fuzzy brain. emoticon

I already have a good exercise routine by I want to boost things a little. So I plan on adding 10 extra minutes a day in addition to what I'm already doing. Either by lifting weights while watching TV, 10 minutes of trampoline, even 10 minutes of dancing (with no one around, of course)!
emoticon
Whatever I can do to work in extra activity. And just 10 minutes extra a day is 70 minutes a week. Not too shabby!

I get so busy with work and family that I find it difficult to fit in my exercise. My goal is to make sure that I am taking at least 10 minutes for myself each day to do something active. After all, if I'm not healthy, I won't be able to do as much with my family.

My name is Laura and I HATE exercise. My goal by joining this Spark Team Challenge is to make exercise a habit. I should be able to do anything for 10 minutes a day. I am trusting that since so many people say that once I force myself to get started - I will learn to love it.

My goal is to gain consistency in exercise. I already do more than 10 minutes a day MOST days, but once a week or so, I just flake out. Hoping this will establish a more consistent routine, so my goal is at least 10 minutes of ST every day along with at least 15 minutes of cardio.

I've lost the weight I really want to and now that I'm in maintenance, I'm scared to death of gaining it back, so....I'm challenging myself to more than 10 minutes a day, walking at a rapid pace (well, as rapid as I can do) for at least 30 minutes to and from the neighborhood park.

Well, since I have been told by 2 nurses and a doctor that I have to exercise for 30 min a day, I thought I would join this group to help get more variety in than just walking every day. So far this week (Sun-Sat) I have played Wii sports for 35 min on Sunday and taken 2 20 min walks yesterday.

I find myself both
a) on a 5 month plateau and
b) in a season of my life where I just don't have the time or mental energy to commit to the kind of fitness routine I had previously.

Unfortunately, that seems to be running me into NO fitness which is NOT cool. I find my eating is directly tied to my effort at exercise, SO... I'm really hopeful that this challenge will be the push that I need to maintain my level of fitness for this season.

10 mins/day at least 5 days/wk. I know I can carve that out!

It's never too late to start again.

I need to break free of the "all or nothing" mentality that I cannot seem to shake. 10 minutes may not be as good as 45 minutes, but 10 minutes is better than no minutes.

I quit smoking 22 months ago, and gained alot of weight on my already overweight body. I feel worse than when I was smoking. I quit smoking to live longer, see my kids grow up, maybe rock a couple of grandkids (waaaay down the line). I know I am healthier just for not smoking, but now I need to get healthier so I feel better about myself, and so I can live longer. The same reasons I quit smoking. I need to get up off my butt and MOVE. My mantra for this challenge will be "It's only 10 minutes" so my goal is to do 10 minutes a day, and stick with the other aspects of SparkPeople.
Thank you
Jana-Michel
