My hubby and I walked from the high school all the way to the center and back. Took us an hour to do it. It was trying to drizzle at first but it stop. The day turn out great.

I walked around my apartment complex about 5 times talking to my daughter. Then me and my son walked to Walgreens and back. Took about 15 20 minutes.

Try a chair exercise, There are a lot on Spark

Suzy,

You're absolutely correct, about not being able to workout even for the 10 minutes can change the whole game. You have no endorphins, running through your body, if you don't get any exercise in. Those endorphins play an important part of helping the body to get what it needs. That includes an uplifted and happier frame of mind!

Can you do resistance band or weigh training or some type of exercise with your hands or arms? Just any kind of movement. Now, please be mindful and don't hurt yourself!

Thanks for the comment. I have noticed that my mood has been effected by not being able to exercise. Amazing how in such a short period of time something can change so much about you. Even if it's only 10 minutes at a time!

Wanting to get my hip up and going again. Can't wait for the doctor to figure it out and hopefully get it working again on Monday. I think I might have popped it out of place. :-(

Joan,

WOW! I haven't bowled in years and I loved it. Unfortunately because of circumstances beyond my control, that is an event that I'm not able to do at the time. God willing, I'm fighting back and perhaps someday, I may be able to do that again. It's so much FUN!

Keep on walking everybody!!! It's really good for the heart, and that's the most important muscle in the body! I'm right there with you. I may not get very many steps in or always have a 10 minute workout, because of being sidelined, but it's all GOLD!!!

Sounds like we are making this happen!
I am getting ready to move my step goal higher. I walk with arthritis (heard of him??) in my hips and now I need to move from 5000 to 6000/day. Hopefully 10000 by my 70th birthday in November!

My pedometer broke so i've given up on counting steps. Depending on the day can probably get in at least 5,000.

I walked at least 10 minutes 5 days out of 7, usually during the evenings. I also parked farther away from the store entrance & walked my cart back to the receptacle in front of the store instead of the one in the parking lot. I hope to get in one more 10-minute day this week.
