Only way to do it. My dad is 71 and still exercises every single day. My mom is 67 and has gotten into exercise every day over the last few years. They are the youngest senior citizens I know! Because they stay active!

I don't let the back put me down. If I did I'd be unhealthy and the size of a barn. I take my meds, stay active, and use my tens and heating pad. And try not to move stupid.

Good for you Dell. I know those back issues myself and when I can't stretch it out at the gym, sometimes it lets me know I've forgotten something. I can stretch it out at home on my stability ball but it doesn't seem to be quite as good. Need to look into Spark videos and see if they have something that might help?

Got my 70 minutes in today. 1 more day of home and I think I'll be good to go back to the gym. YEEHAW!

Hopefully I can stay away from any more of this. Once a year is enough and getting it out of the way in February is great.

You're right about not getting sick as often by exercising regularly. It's probably been a good 9-12 months since I've been down for more than a day or 2.

People who exercise regularly get far fewer of that type of illness, Dwayne. (I forget the percentage from the report I read, but it was a big motivator for me when I first began to exercise.) I personally get far fewer sinus/bronchial symptoms than I did before I exercised regularly. (I exercise daily, but I recently joined this team with hopes of increasing some particular exercise activities.)

I'm all for keeping the workout streaks going...2 weeks become 2 months and there you go...

Today was 50 minutes of cardio and weight work for me. Still battling this stupid cold/cough...but I will overcome!

Thanks for the well wishes and kind thoughts. That's one thing about this website that is so great. All the positive thoughts and words...not all the garbage I've seen on so many other sites.

Today I got 45 minutes of cardio and weight work in. Feeling better, just not 100% yet, but getting close.

Yes I have been fighting this cold for two weeks but I still continue to exercise. My body hurt and I just take Aleve and keep going. At night I rub down in some vicki.

Dwayne, good for you, doing your workouts even when you are under the weather. I do mine, too, unless I am really unwell with a fever or bad cough. Even if I am dragging, I still try to do what I can. Keep up the great work!

BERTIEANN, I know what you're talking about. Got a touch of a bug myself, but being as stubborn as I am I'm still doing my workouts at home. Can't do the gym, as I don't want to get others sick, but I'm determined not to lose my streak...I know..."Not the sharpest knife in the drawer..."
