Shoveling is the exercise of the day here but will also walk. If I sit and watch TV I found I can walk 300 steps for each ad. emoticon emoticon

This is what I do:

1. When I am on the phone I do walk or I am on my Gazelle which is AWESOME!!!

2. When I do my laundry, I take one item at a time out of the laundry basket which is in my bedroom and walk to the kitchen and put it in the washer. Also, after I fold my clothes I put them away, the same way. I take one sock at a time and put it away and then go back and get the other, etc.

When I do this sometimes I pick up my pace to a HIIT level and then slow it back down, or I do lunges and squats in between the walking to and from also.

I recently watched a video message by Coach Nicole where she talked about N.E.A.T (Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) - ways to add a little exercise outside your normal "exercise" routine. Like doing an extra squat before you sit all the way down; pace while you're on the phone, etc. What are you all doing along those lines?

So far I've done isometrics while I'm driving, pace or lunges while I brush my teeth, put my computer up on books so I can work at it standing up - and do mini squats while doing computer work...... Looking for more ideas.
