Yesterday I took a walk through our housing area. It is 1 mile long. My spark did not give me credit even though I walked consistently for 22 minutes! Frustrating, but I know what I did!

I am sad face panda.My fitness stops when my blood thinners mess me up. This time my blood got too thin they were afraid I might bleed out. So though I wanna workout I cannot. I will force myself in to doing a walking DVD at home.

Bonnie,

You're so funny! Yes, I have tried to talk to this little black bug, and talk to the SP site too, all to no avail!!! It does get a bit frustrating at times, but there's nothing, that I know of, that I'm able to do! I'll just keep moving more!

Yesterday is a good example; I went to aerobics, and moved my butt for at least 45 minutes; we did have some stretching periods, or some stand still and lift weight periods. (I kept trying to move my feet a bit)
So when I got home and the Tracker synced to the computer, it was all good about how many STEPS I took, etc. but then the 10 minutes, OH NO it said, there had not been 10 minutes of consistent activity. WHAT! ?
So after a long day, about 6:30 I went out with the dog, and walked around the house, watered some plants, filled a bird feeder, etc., I was moving around fast but again, stopping here and there, so once again it looks like I did not do a 10 minute exercise.
The only way I can see to get it in is to take off and flat out walk for 10 minutes; so I guess that's a GOOD thing for my body it's just Spark People and the Spark Tracker making me do what I'm trying to wiggle out of, right?
Thanks for listening, hey it's great to be able to rant about it to someone who is going through the same thing!

that is funny Bonnie. I have never tried to explain things to small bug like objects only small cute little people who sometimes do not understand me as well as you small bug like object would. emoticon I understand your frustration.
I have a Polar loop and sometimes I get frustrated with it, because the mine is not as advanced as I thought. I can only do part of the things that I thought I would be able to do, or I haven't figured out how the app works, so I will stick with it is not as advanced as I thought. It does track calories burned, steps taken, activity level, and what time it is. The only thing it does not do is my heart rate.

I don't have a tracker. Right now I'm using a pedometer and it pretty much does the same thing. It is frustrating.

Of course that's not to say I'm not a little grumpy about it; but have you ever tried explaining things to a small round bug like object?

That little black bug is pretty strict! Even though I think I do a 20 minute workout, if it includes stretching, standing there and lifting weights, etc., the answer is NO I didn't do that much.
Twice now I have 'failed to meet my goal' on the days when I work out to a DVD in the morning then have to go to work, without taking a walk or doing something to purposefully move my feet for 10 minutes straight.
I am not complaining; just observing, because that's a good thing to have learned. Getting my heart rate UP and moving my body is what is going to keep me healthy and turn around my weight. I need to respect the Tracker and learn from it!
