I understand the fact that you need to be moving all the time. When I first started really exercising, and my body got used to it, I would take an occasional day off, but my body revolted big time, giving me the signal that I needed to move and move NOW! If I didn't I would cramp up all over and be doubled over, so whenever I would get that feeling, I would move, even if it was just marching in place.

Blessings!

yes; I have always been busy, not sure if I every slowed down. When I was pregnant with my first Child, I crossed my fingers behind my back and tried (and I do mean tried) to promise the doctor that I would stay off of my feet for 6 weeks, so I would not have the baby to early. I really did try, but I couldn't do it. It is a good thing that God was watching over me and I did not have my baby until the 6 weeks was up.
I just have to always be moving. I have learned how to make myself relax in the evenings.

Aw,

YIKES!!!! Have you been this active all of your life? I use to play softball, and I was the batter that was so afraid of hitting the catcher, so I never really swung the bat unless there was no catcher. Sometimes, we just didn't have enough kids to make two complete teams, so we did the best that we could!

Blessings,

That is funny. I too used to love to cross the monkey bars as a grade school student. I don't believe I thought anything of it then, however, I make sure to put shorts on my grand daughter when she goes to school. That is when she wears a dress or skirt and stays the night at my house. Her mom is the same way, she makes sure she has shorts on under her dress. I also loved to play softball, fly up, count up, anything to do with a bat and a ball, I was there loving it. My brothers always made me be catcher, because they didn't want to get hit with a wild bat. I only got hit once in all the time I played with them. when I was on a team, I was third base or out field. mostly 3rd base. emoticon

Aw,

Crossing the monkey bars! My lands, young lady, I remember doing that in grade school, and in a dress. It didn't bother me that the other kids could see my underwear, as I was having so much FUN! I haven't crossed any monkey bars in...... Let's just say it's been a long time!

Blessings!

I played with my grandchildren for at least 10 minutes outside. We played with badmitten rackets and a plastic tennis ball. It was fun. I also walked around Bovill taking pictures of old buildings and new buildings. That was at least 10 minutes. I even crossed the monkey bars. I will post a pic later. It was amazing to me that I could do it after at least 4 years of not crossing Monkey bars. Amazing what working out will do.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. Last day of August. How fast time flies.

If you have a cell phone there is a app for a pedometer. It is called Noom Walk. It tracks your steps.

Please count any and all movement, as it all adds up to the BIG PICTURE!!! Just adding them all together is the FUN PART! Try using some kind of tracker device. Pedometers are any where from $10 to $150. I had a $10 one, when I first started out, but when SP came out with theirs, I bought it and I've never regretted the money I spent!

Blessings!

You can try to work out before work if that would help. I do some desk and wall exercises while I am at work and that helps me out a lot.

I would not discount any movement you manage--those are your baby steps and they are putting you on a road to positive everything: mindset, fitness, all around better health. Your dog probably is thankful, too!

Hi Karen,

I'll bet you are walking a lot more than you think. You should count that time too!

Do you have an activity tracker? If not, that will help! I stared with a cheap one from Walmart. After kicking it off or resetting it every time I looked at the # of steps, I ordered the Spark Tracker. I love it. It works on my waist so it's easy to keep track of (most of the time)

This challenge has helped me a lot. I will be hitting my 1st 10,000 step day! emoticon

Slow and steady with a little increase will make all the difference in the world.

Good luck and keep posting!

On my way to a healthier life.

I have been finding it hard to exercise since returning to work. I have been moving around a lot, but I don't count that time. Perhaps I should because it is difficult to carve out time each day. I manage to walk my dog around the block (about 1 mile). I know I need to do much more in order to lose weight. Next week I am hoping I can get into a routine.

Just Believe!
