Good Morning All,

Hope all of you are doing well, as it's been awhile since I've posted.

All here in Southern California is a bit damp and cold, which is something we've needed. Now to get just more and end this drought.

LULU you go. Very glad you did get in some.

I don't usually work out on the weekend. But I got on my gazelle for 30 minutes. Rack the yard with all those leaves in it.

Had some twingy pain in my left hip and a sick son at home today so I didn't get out for a walk until just now. A little over a mile and a half walk - it's harder in the dark!

I enjoyed focusing on finding fun this week. This was overall a great week. I have found a new past time - listening to books and walking. I did some gardening before it got cold - I'll have to wait for it to warm up again before I do much more of that.

And at the end of it, I have a 21 day exercise streak! That feels terrific. I'm ready for week 4! emoticon

Felt much better after my dial-down day. emoticon

Hives are almost gone, still have no idea why I had them in the first place. I live in an extremely hilly area - I can't walk anywhere without having to tackle a hill. However, yesterday I treated myself to an hour's walk around a small nearby pond - that path is totally flat and I enjoyed it! Had to climb a hill to get back home, but much less than I normally do. Still loving my audible book!

Today my goal is to try a video. I have done spark videos in the past but not since I have been back. I am having so much fun on my walks that I don't really want to stop! I have been wanting to try adding in some strength training. So I am going to try an arm strengthening video today.

Today I was tired and dealing with hives. I took a 33 minute walk at sunset. I have been doing more and more each day, and it was nice to dial it down today. I still got to listen to more of my audible book! emoticon

Thank you for that great suggestion Dellmel! I am happy to say that my hip seems to be better - taking a day off of walking and several epsom salt baths did the trick.

Today I went for a walk and listened to more of my audio book - this is so great for me. And I spent an hour and a half working in the yard and garden. It is so gorgeous out right now.

I know I have got to be careful not to overdo it. That has been my downfall before. I wanted to stay out all afternoon, but I made myself come back inside and take it easy.

LULU if you can't walk they have chair exercise. So try that until your hip feel better.

I don't have a resistance band yet, may look for one tomorrow. My husband has some handweights, so I may try some strength training today. Ulp! Or I may do some gardening. My poor fall veggies need some serious weeding. emoticon

If you have an "exercise band" or resistance band try a seated workout using it. Try more upper exercises until your hip feels better.

I read through the suggestions for ways to add more fun to exercise. Today I decided to listen to an audible book while I was taking my walk. I lucked into a great one called "Orphan Train." The woman who narrates it does a great job with the different voices. It was so good that I walked longer than I have since I began the challenge!

I still got to enjoy the beautiful day - once again, the sun came out while I was walking and the leaves are still changing, so it's just beautiful. I did keep my walk on a nearby trail since I had headphone on - didn't want to accidentally get hit by a car!

Something in my hip is a bit sore now, so I may have to come up with something new for tomorrow.
